| Hey all, just finished my RIU for the night... had to get in in before American Idol, lol. I don't really watch the show itself, but I LOVE the auditions... some of those cats are BANANAS! jamie... when I ordered SI6 a couple of years ago and did the program, I ordered the supplements too. Results were definitely FAST, but I agree that they are too darn expensive. I agree with Aly.... take a multivitamin instead. And Aly... you are really tearing it up, girl! 3 days 'til BIU..... yay! I love the half jacks and kicks :) |

| Hey prietto!
I'm with sweet_tart; Slim in Six is both fun and effective. You can FEEL this workout for sure, even if you're already fit. It targets so many areas, so it's a total body workout. Check out our SI6 thread, and hop on board :) :) :) |

| After having a lil personal crisis in my life, I'm back to SI6! Today was day 8 for me... still in RIU. I feel so much better now after my workout :) One thing I love about SI6--and this could just be my mind playing tricks--is that it seems to evenly trim away fat in all the right places, much like running. I'm a big fan of the J-Lo/Beyonce body type, so I'm glad I'm not losing my lovely lady lumps ;) After all, I still want to look like a woman, not a little boy, lol. And, amazingly, I no longer dread the lunges!!!
Keep at it everyone... we're all doing great :) |

| Hey gals, quick question: Would doing the SI6 routine be considered "moderate actvity level?" I'm just curious because I've had my allowance at "light activity" because for awhile now I haven't had a regular exercise routine in place... up until SI6. As a teacher, I stand and walk around at work and walk to the grocery store and stuff... but I wasn't doing much outside activity other than that. Now that has changed and I don't know if I should change the levels.... the calorie intake needed is really different between the 2 levels. I'm losing a little more weight than it says I should be each week (it says 1.5-2 lbs is healthy in reaching my goal), so i was wondering if that's because I need to up my calories. So what do you think?
We are all doing so awesome with this.... a standing ovation for Alli, and to everyone involved :) :) :) |

| The Lounge | Who did you date?? | Jan 21 2007 05:50 (UTC) |

| Well I'm a melting pot, so to speak.... I've dated guys of many races: black, white, hispanic, asian. All in all, I've had some great experiences. But there are 2 that totally stand out if you're looking for a laugh. Both were beautiful, but neither were the brightest light on the christamas tree, lol! And i need me an intellect, so needless to say these relationships were over in a very short time.
1) This guy didn't know the difference between Fruitopia (the drink) and utopia (absolute bliss). I wrote one of his papers in college... he got called on it immediately, LOL. 2) This guy was the dumbest I've dated, but in a childlike, innocent kind of way. He was simply brainless, I swear. He saw a turtle with a cracked shell on the side of the road, pulled some Bondo out of his glove compartment and sealed it up.... he thought he was actually saving it's life. Of course I was even more confused as to why the hell he carried bondo in his glove compartment. On another occasion in college he came to visit. My friends were oohing and aahing over how cute he was. Until this comment....My roomate was getting ready for work. She pulls out an outfit that was on a hanger and asks, "Wayne, do you think I can pull this off?" (a.k.a. 'Can I look hot in this outfit?'). He replies, "Yeah, just yank it off the hanger." He thought she was asking how to LITERALLY pull it off. Yeah.... he was 'tarded. I love that I dated these guys... they leave me many funny stories to tell, lol. |

| WOW... I just managed to fit in my RIU routine for the day. I finished at 11:30pm, but the point is..... I finished! Yay! One more week of RIU, then I get to do the half-jacks... my fav.
LOL... Christin, you're soooo right... our men are gonna be happy, happy boys ;) Isn't it funny that our main goal is a healthy lifestyle... but following in a close second is the desire to make our men drool? Hey... not for nothing, but motivation is motivation. Great job guys... keep it up!!!!! |

| Hi there! I also have a pretty "ecclectic" taste in music, but some of my favorite workout songs are: Christina Aguilera's 'Stronger' (i think that's the name... you know, "makes me that much stronger, makes me work a lil bit harder..."), Destiny's Child's 'Survivior,' The Rolling Stones' song that goes "hey you, get off of my cloud...," that song 'Unwritten' (Natalie-something, I think), Ciara's '1,2, Step' and Beyonce and Jay Z's 'Crazy in Love.' Oh yeah.... and Bon Jovi's 'Livin on a Prayer' and the song 'Out Tonight' from the Rent Soundtrack.
LOL... as you can tell, I'm not to good with names or titles, but the beats get you pumped :) HAVE FUN :) |

| YAY... just did DAY 1 of SIU! Man, you really feel how effective those squats are :) I forgot that SIU was only approx. 40 min or so.... I'm gonna move on to RIU on Day 3 as suggested. I miss the resistance bands and the half jacks!
Oh yeah... I'm adding some of you Slim in 6ers to my friends list... good for support :) |

| Hi alydaven!
There sure does seem to be quite a few people interested in Slim in 6 now.... thanx for sparking our interest and getting so much of us on the bandwagon! Congrats thus far on powering through to Day 5! I'm about to do SIU in a few minutes, and I think I might do it for 3 or 4 days rather than just 2 like they suggest. Then I'll do RIU for 2 weeks and BIU for the remaining 4. LOL... even though it is a fun and effective workout, I'm glad to hear you hate the lunges too... they can be brutal! Yeah, from what I remember as well, the legs just stay sore for a couple of days. Still, at a mere 5'0", wearing heels is a MUST... otherwise my students would all be taller than me! So tomorrow at work should be interesting, to say the least. As much as I'd like to see spring in a hurry, my sister is a climatologist and she says that--have no fear-- winter IS on its way! Again, best of luck to all the Slim in 6ers.... our sexy bodies and skinny jeans are right around the corner :) |

| Okay gals... I'm in too. I've done it before and it really is an awesome workout routine that works. The resistance bands are so effective. Admittedly, BIU was tough for me before and I didn't exactly finish the 6 weeks. BUT... I didn't have a whole group of encouraging people who were all doing it as well, either. So I'll give it a whirl again. It's looking like Maryland will never see a winter, lol, so it feels like it'll be tank top season before I know it! So my start date is tomorrow, I figured a Monday was a good idea... wish me luck ( I hate those damn lunges!) :) | |||

| Well I'm not married, but I would hope that when I do get married sex will be alive DAILY, lol. Other than coffee, it's my favorite thing! I'm in a long distance relationship, so lack of it is torture. But still... I think all people are different, with regards to the issue. I genuinely love having sex so I find it very important and it would never seem like I would "need" to fit it in my schedule. Maybe that is my advice then for those who aren't getting some action that often.... make it fun and exciting for you and your fiance and you might WANT to fit it in rather than feeling like you NEED to fit it in. As for Kipp...don't worry about what's normal, just pay attention to your individual situation and if you are satisfied with that, then that is all that matters :) | |||

| Thanks everyone! I can tell this community is really supportive and I really love that! It makes this whole weight-losing process easier and even fun! I am so excited to hear that this works! So, yes, I had my morning coffee (black with no sugar... I brew it myself) but I am going to try to replace it with more water throughout the day :)
I think just having to keep the food and activity log is helpful too... this morning I wanted to "add" some exercise so I walked to the store, rather than driving, and carried my groceries home. Giant is really close so I don't know why I ever drive in the first place! When I was in college I was in great shape because I didn't have a car so I ALWAYS walked to the store, to work, to school, etc.,. I think i need to get back in the habit! elin and canadianchick, your stories are really motivating and inspiring.... kudos on your success! Thanks again, everyone :) :) :) |
