hey everyone.. boy did i have a lot if reading to catch up on. had to to a lot this weekend so wasnt able to post or count calories. Friday I had salmon and brocolli from chillis (it was so good). Then i went out and partied till 4 in the morn. Saturday I drove to Tallahasee to see my best friend.. I had some bourbon chicken and mashed potatoes. Went and partied that night as well. Yesterday I was fiening for my dads cooking so i went to the jamaican resturant and had some curry goat and oxtail. Excuse me but then later i was in what i call "fat girl" mode and had a whopper and a sweet tea... when i got home i weighed myself because i knew that i gained weight from all the eatin i had done over the weekend. the scale read 148.5 which is a 3.5 gain... this morning it read 147.0 so i dont feel that bad. This weekend i will get back on track and all will be right with the world..


OH yeah i took pics this weekend i will post them tonight when i get home.


SO what did yall splurge on this weekend?

hey ladies! hope everyone had a good weekend..  my weekend was ok... didnt exercise this weekend.. ran 1.5 yesterday aaaaannndd stayed within my 1250 calories.  today is PT day so im going to run another 1.5 and do some crunches and pushups. go home and do another hour..

measured my waist and its now a 30 so i lost .5 inches.  lost 1 lb. so im at 147 now.

hey... last week some one asked what do u do when u ur done with the 6 weeks... with  my order i recieved keep it up, cool it off, and firm it up.  which i guess are the after exercisies.. if u dont have those then just go back to RIU and BIU and do that with more intensity then u did when u 1st started.

i have gotten to the point where i can do BIU without stoppin the tape but it's still kickin my butt.  so scooterchicken i second ur emotions.

well i guess im close than most of you all to getting married im gettin married in 21 days... i started exercising seriously in january when i was my heaviest (156.5 lbs). Now im at 146.5. my goal weight is 138. Only thing that relieves my stress is that im having my wedding in italy and i dont have to worry about much except for making my plane. good luck everyone.

Teenwolf... Im from NY and u will do so much walkin u wont even think about everything else... if ur not walkin ur goin to be takin the train so just think of it as one big track... go to 34th street and shop... u will definately burn a chunk of calories doing that ...  go to 5th avenue and browse the designers (prada, fendi, niketown).  81st on the B train has the Museum of Natural history and Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).  ooooh here a great walkin experience.. walk across the Brooklyn Bridge... its so beautiful u wont think about anything else... as well as there are so many people that eat healthy in NY that u wont have to worry about being good because there will always be something good to eat..

yesterday made me realize that evern 3 days of slipping up can be detrimental... my 3 mile run turned into 2.5 because i felt like i my lungs wer going to sieze up on me... wow ... but i completed my run and decided that i will never slip for that long again.

are u doin a regular weigh-in or are the doing BMI, waist height run push/sit- up kinda thing? here are a few things that we do to get ready for our PT tests.... sweatsuits... eat a light dinner, the slimmer belt and basically just eating light until we get to the test. i dont want u to do anythign unsafe but this is what works for some of the females i work with. and they pass their PT tests.

unicat- the curls sound like they would be cute..

vcooper-  i bought one of those scales in December and it made me realize how off my old scale was... which caused me to revamp my weight log because it was all wrong... but i like it now because its more acurate.

still feeling like the blob... had one heck of a leg cramp yesterday at pt causing me to just say to heck with exercising and call it a day ... slim in 6 day today... extra long workout.  and tommorow we are goin to work and the death grip that cramp had on my calves yesterday... come sun or rain my legs/body is going to run 3 miles.

**excerpt from the journal**

i had a revelation this weekend when i went to the movies.  I asked for a small popcorn and a medium drink ($9.25). The young lady handed me this monstrous bag of popcorn that could have fed 10 children in africa. The "medium" drink could have klilled the thirst of at least 6 of Tamji's d/c munchkins.  WOW!  americans eat a lot.. i wanted to ask the girl how much would it be if u just put handful in the cup that all im going to eat anyway... and then she asked me do u want butter on that? hell no to clog an artery or sumthing my body isnt used to this crap anymore.  so i had my handful of popcorn and threw it away what a waste...  the movie wasnt quite done yet so we sat an waited for the people to leave the theater.  As people were walkin by i couldnt help but stare at the almost empty gigantic bags of popcorn they were carrying ro the nacho containers with the globs of cheese like wow you really ate that huh..  You never notice how different your eating habit are until you are in a public setting.

oh yeah weight??? steady 148... the dreaded time has come... feeling like the blob has taken ahold of my soul/body.

no u didnt offend me.. i was just curious.. no im from brooklyn. i think u had more resort food than traditional jamaican food.  Cuz hamburgers, octopus pancakes etc are not traditional breakfast.  sorry..

An especially hard night... had the worst argument with my fiance that left me feeling like i wanted to run him over.  I didnt feel like eating after that but i did manage to eat a pack of ramen and some water.  Weighed myself this morning and have been 148 for the past 2 days. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY.  gotta save all the calories i can because my squadron is have a po'boy sale and u know u have to support squadron functions... and its EPR time.... i probably wont eat much of it anyway.

mcgee33- what did u eat?... im jamaican and am curious to know.

Alydaven- i came to that conclusion last week as well. when i started SI6 my thighs were 25' now they are 23' and 5 weeks later they havent budged they are just muscle. And then i say to myself at 5"1 how long and lean can they get.

Well i did BIU along with SLim and 6 pack and felt great. i think im going to take today off.  i always say that until i get home and its staring me in the face saying "come feel the burn". but im going to try not to today... especially because of the Po'boy sale going on in the squadron. i bought a ticket (had to support the squadron) lol

i 1st started exercising in december took 2 weeks off for leave and came back strong in january. when i started i was 155 and going to the gym everyday, i didnt start to lose weight until 1/2 way through last month... so that meant a month of going to the gym damn near everyday without a pound lost. i never really believed that fat could turn into muscle but the more i exercised and didnt lose weight i became a believer. i started by running a mile everyday and i have gotten to the point where i can run 2.5 miles and feel fine. now its march 15 and im losing weight steadily. it may not be significant but i will take the pound or 2 every week and a half. i know its seems like forever but keep at it.

im guessing ur either in the military or a dependant? dont feel so guilty.. everyone has slip-ups.. next time instead of packing junk food u can try carrots, celery, sunflower seeds etc.  When i go to PT i go to get the most our of my exercise.. im still new to losing weight thing as well so i just make sure im on or near my calorie intake and exercise accordingly. if i ate too much the day before i just tack on 10 more minutes of running or 30 crunches to even it out in my head. I think u will be fine.  everyone is allowed a slipup. i have had a few if u read my journal, but once you start seeing the change in your body u will want to keep at it.. it will become a habit.. like and addiction to exercise.. at least i hope.

i have always been the confident person.. but when my jeans didnt fit without having my stomach push out like i was 2 months pregnant... i figured this has got to stop.  138-155/160 in a year was not working.. so january i became dedicated and have lost 7.5 lbs.. just wanna be 138 again.  oh yeah and my fiance said babe u dont look like u did when we 1st met... so i looked at him like u cant be serious im eating with you... so if i gained wieght so have you..

today is going to be great I have squadron PT.. push-ups, sit-ups and 1.5 mile run... last week i ran it in 13:58.  This week im going to try and make it down to 13:00, maybe sprint the last lap or sumthin.  Im looking forward to it though.

It was out of control yesterday well kinda anyway.  Reading my journal u would know that it was no holds bars and i enjoyed myself.  So i came to work yesterday with my lunch (tuna, grapefruit, 100 calorie oreos, and some carrots). i kid u not but by 830 i was starving. When I think about it i was hungry all day, feeling like i didnt eat a drop. I didnt run my usual yesterday i just did my Slim in six and was cool wit it weighed myself afterwards and i was 148.5 which was fine with me since up until recently i was still in the 150's.  i had to go to walmart and get some spaghetti sauce.. stopped for an ice cream cone and shared it with my daughter, along with 1/2 a slice of lemon cake..... felt kinda bad and good at the same time..

today im back on track and my lunch consists of smartones beef pot roast, carrots 100 calorie oreos and 1/2 a grapfruit.  Just ate the grapefruit and im not now im not feeling hungry so this should be a good day. 

whats everyone else having for lunch?

i know i havent given updates in while.. this is my second week of BIU... oh boy... tell me about feeling the burn... i think im goin to switch around my routine a lil bit because when i run B4 doin it im not able complete the tape like i want to ... so this week im going to do the tape and then head out for my run. but wow talk about a change that u can feel.
