| Hey!!! I thought I am the only one to add posts in this thread, but we are 4 people already to do P90! I am so happy! I am really greatfull to you, m3lody to let me know how wonderful P90 is! I did the first day last night and it feels excellent! Of course, I already did Slim in 6 a few weeks ago, so I know about beachbody's programs. But I did not expect it to be so....pleasant! I really feel mu muscles working and I feel I will have wonderful results with it! I'm not doing cardio in addition to the dvd's but I try to walk as much as possible.

| Well, ddolinar, I did Si6 and i was very, very satisfied with the results I got, especially in losing inches and fiting into clothes. I recently bought Power 90 and will start the routine tonight (it came yesterday too late to start, but I've been studying the exercises). I think that they both offer you the same type of results. Just the length is different. One is 6 weeks (42 days) and one is 90 days. Si6 has more levels and "side exercises" if you want to spend more time working out, P90 is rather limited in routines.
P90X, on the other hand, is the extreme version of Power 90 (if you want, is the 3rd grade: there's Power 90, Power 90 master and P90X) I just started a thread regarding starting Power 90, I need a "team mate" to help me stay motivated. if you want to join me, I'd be more then happy.... |

| Don't forget that sometime men are like children. Make him feel important for you (let's face it, we usually forget to do that and take our excellent relationship for granted). You mentioned "insecurity" as being the reason? Well, how do you make him feel secure? Btw, is he aware WHY you decided to lose weight? Your reasons might be obvious for you, but misterious for him. If he did not behave like a jealousy frick until now try to discuss with him more about what you want to do and why and involve him in what you are doing in some way. If he has a history of jealousy, well, sorry, I never knew how to deal wiht that and I have never been able to accept it! Anyway, good luck! | |||

| Well, I'm 2-3 lbs lighter after the workout, due to the water I am loosing. But those lbs do not stay off. So, weight yourself in the morning, at the same hour, wearing the same clothes or prior to the gym class, since the amount if water you are losing is not constant. This would be my advice. | |||

| miamithin: thank you for your reply!! Actually deejlb's results made me order Power 90 (LOL). I've seen her pictures and diswcussed with her about the routines and diet plans. I started my effort in losing weight and do it smart in january. You see, my brother was supposed to get married and I wanted to look good. Meanwhile, I droped 2 sizes in clothes (did Slim in 6 with excellent results) but did not reach my weight goal. My brother's wedding took place this week-end (I fitted into the dress I wanted to fit, hurray!) so somehow, I am trying to find a goal to keep working! Thank you for your words, I'll start tomorrow and hopefully we will be able to help each other.
coastagirl: power 90 is a 90 days program from beachbody.com that helps you lose weght and shape your body. They have all sorts of routines. You may check it out on their site (be careful not to mistake the P90X for it, the P90X is the "extreme programe) |

| I am 20 lbs more then you. My hubby still tells me I look good and does not allow me to compare myself with the "size zero -type of girls". If YOU feel you should do something about your eating habbits, do it. If your boyfriend is embarrased because of your eating....well, you should do something about your boyfriend! I'm not saying leave him. I'm saying explain him how his comments make you feel. If he does not understand what you want to say... only then you have a problem.
By the way, today was my father-in-law's birthday. I had for dinner: some starters (not much) a huge bowl of soup, a huge lamb steak with lots of rice, ice-cream with cherries and pineapple pieces. This is A LOT!!!!!!!!!! And yet...I don't feel like a pig. Why don't you try to involve your boyfriend in your efforts and explain him how he may support you in what you are trying to do??? If he really loves you he should be there for you, not criticise you. |

morningchild (and all new entries..): think on how many minutes of exercises are you planning to do in June (one of the possible goals listed above, in the thread's first post) and then just mention that number here (just like I did above this paragraph). For the weight loss is the same (I think). Check the signing in post and read the rules.
