Sounds like water, most pro bodybuilders that are all juiced up only gain about 5-7 pounds of just muscle in about a year if they are lucky. I would suggest not worrying about how much you weigh, and focus on how you look in the mirror. No body is going to look at you as say. she looks like she weighs 122, they will say wow she looks great. So don't worry too much about the weight.

You know the spin class can work, but a lot of it depends on your height and your body structure. If you are short they may tend to gain muscle quickly, then spinning might not work. When i have clients like that, i will deliberately overtrain there legs, when you overtrain the muscle the muscle will naturally get smaller, that is your body trying to protect itself. I would try workoing legs everyday with leg extensions, leg curls, squats, lunges and leg press, 4 sets of 12-15 reps, push yourself hard, mix that with the cardio and you should start to see results.

just a couple thoughts for what its worth.
1. stop with the beans the will bloat you up no matter what you do.
2. stick to just one shake after workout, and use cottage cheese as mid-morning snack good protein source and no bloat.

Those two things should help, the cottage cheese could be rough for some people, i mix sugar free jello powder, and diced peaches. the sweetness is great to keep sweet tooth under control, and it is filling enough to last 2-3 hours

the bloat is from the crabs, which will also cause you to retain water, a lot of times it depends on the type of carbs. you are eating. try to keep most of your carbs in the form of fiborous carbs. like broccoli, spinach, green beans, and even sweet potatoes once in a while, they wont be as filling and you wont feel bloated, but it will still give you great energy and strength.

you can put on mass a couple of different ways, but either way you have to increase calories, so if you are getting that much protein, and your energy levels are good with the amount of carbs you are getting, you should be fine. you just need to create a caloric surplus, and you will bulk up, i always bulk on a high protein, mod. carbs, low fat diet. it is the best way to avoid excess fat gain

Fitness Thyroid Problem, need help! May 06 2008

you have only gained 7 pounds, thats not that bad. people with thyroid problems always have a tough time losing weight, watch your carb intake and keep it to veggies only, that should help. also eat lots of lean protein it will help to stimulate your metabolism and speed it up. I can say anything about your weights because you tell us anything but make sure you are working your legs also, it burns more calories
Fitness Pulled groin / hamstring muscle - what to do? May 06 2008
11:10 (UTC)
1
if you injured your groinn and/or hamstring, you need to rest it. there is no other option. if you don't rest it, it could turn into a really bad pull, which could lay you up for a very long time. muscle injuries will only heal with time, a massage may help but it won't repair the injury

stop worrying about the weight! you can lose weight and your body fat could go up, which defeats the purpose. add weight training to your exercise program, and try eating a high protein diet, with carbs coming mainly from broccoli, green beans, spinach, and sweet potato's. the fibrous carbs will help you to lose body fat and a little weight from the lower calories, protein should be from white turkey and chicken meat, and very lean ground beef(96% lean). eat 3 ounces of protein and carbs for 3 meals per day, snacks can apples, or my fav. cottage cheese with sliced peach chunks, and sugar free jello. this diet is high in protein moderate carbs, and low fat. the carbs will give you the energy you need along with the proteins for muscle maintenance.

most people tend to just cut calories, which is the wrong way to go, the nutrients you get are just as important.

1. you shouldn't always work to muscle failure, work to get that pump or burn in the muscle.

2. not sure about the mets, but I believe that is right

3. the rows will work the biceps, you have to focus on pulling with the back muscles, and using your arms like there are hooks. it's all about the back.

Fitness A question about eating clean Apr 28 2008
10:24 (UTC)
11
it depends on what carbs you get and how much protein you eat at night, i eat very clean, and i understand where you are coming from. I get a higher sugar carb in the morning like a bagel to wake me up, since I have clients at 5 am., then the rest of the day i eat 4 meals of a 6 oz source of lean protein with 3 ounces of a  fibrous carb(broccoli, green beans, spinach, and sweet potato every third day). The fibrous carbs fill me up pretty well, for my snake I do cottage cheese with peaches twice a day, for a little more carbs and more protein. I would try to increase your protein with your evening meal, as long as it is a lean source like white turkey or chicken, or 96% lean beef you won't have any fat gain and the meat will fill you up
