| I like it, I am finishing week 2. It is helping me realize what healthy portion sizes are, and also as a result of being scared of "treatment effects" I am being very disciplined. I find that if I really measure out my food and only eat that cup and a half of pasta, that does fill me up, before I was more of a bottomless pit eater. To each there own I say. I hope not to feel the need to be on it for more than say 2-3 months. p.s. so far no treatment effects, I just had to state that for the record :) | |||

| If I were you I would take a test from the drug store. That will let you know and based on my past experience that usually makes my late friend come, like she wanted me to spend the $8!! Annoying. Most OB's say that you can miss up to a month for no reason sometimes, or for as silly a reason as spending more time with a woman on a different cycle. I know everytime I start a new job my cycle shifts a little. Good luck! | |||

| Oh I am so in. I am really really good at making excuses, I have spent about a half an hour already today thinking of excuses to skip the gym today. But then I just get mad at myself for being overweight. So count me in and I am def going to the gym today! | |||

| Congrats Katy! Not doing as well as I had planned, I had gotten down to 5 lbs gone and then went on a road trip (which I was reasonably behaved on!) and I gained a lb back, so I am down 4 overall. Which is good for 3 weeks, I just hoped to be a little closer to cute toes! | |||

| Pizza is ridiculous for me. Hubby and I now limit ourselves to once a month. I can eat 4 pieces no problem. I am trying to wean down to 3 slices. One day a week I don't count my calories (officially anyway, they are in my head) so if it is the one day for pizza I know I have to be good the rest of the week. Now that I am drinking so much water I do find that the carbonation fills me up so that helps me want less pizza. | |||

| Great topic. I am moderately overweight, after having my son, but I was always slightly overweight. I grew up with an obese dad and after he left my grandma did all the cooking, all southern, fried food, canned vegetables. To her food equaled love, if she made me a plate of bacon I would eat the whole thing to make her happy, I was a kid I didn't know better. I still haven't completely gotten over that clean plate club thinking. At home I just put way less on my plate, but at restaurants I struggle with the issue. Also my mom raised me to be a reader, she never showed me how great sports could be. Now I love tennis and volleyball and I feel awesome after going to the gym, but it took me almost 30 years to get to this point! |

| I'm in, my weigh in day was Wednesday, but a change can do you good eh? I started this thing at 173, last week was 171, hoping to be 170 this weigh in, I am not sure if I can work out tonight because I am majorly sore from my Yoga Power tape I did yesterday! | |||

| Yeah oatmeal for dinner probably didn't give your body what it needs. I know my oatmeal has only 160 calories per pack and while it does have some fiber and protein, that still isn't enough to keep you from going into starvation mode and then your body needed to eat something. Give the other candy bar away and add something to your dinner, a nice salad with a chicken breast maybe? | |||

| Oh yeah count me in! My first goal is to get to my pre-preg weight (154), as my boy is now 2!!! I started CC at 174, I am at 171 now. I'm 5'4". | My kudos to thse that can do it. On my second day I felt so sick (not hungry honestly!) that I thought I would pass out while driving. As a mom I just found it to hard to deal with the kids and work while detoxing. I guess I was prety toxic. So no more MC for me personally! | |||

| Of course there is a ton of good medical info out there, but would you rather read a medical book or talk to "friends" about it. I think most people use this site for support and it is nice to hear people's opinions. If I ask what a decent calorie deficit is I will get 10 different answers, so it is nice to read a variety of what people are doing. I have heard a billion times that I need to eat less and exercise more, but talking to others who are doing it helps bring that message home. | |||

| My son turns 2 in next week, he has kissed several girls on the mouth (just pecs) including his cousin. He's going to be a handful, I think I may start telling him now that girls are yucky! I had my first boyfriend on the first day of kindergarten. I bet it will pass in a few days, you know how long their attention spans are!! I would give it a couple days and then maybe consult with the bus driver and teacher if it is getting to be a repetitive problem. Good luck, post what happens! | |||

| Amber, I am so with you on #2 and #3. I have 40 to lose, although some charts say I should lose 50 - 60 pounds, but I know my body well enough to know that I won't/don't want to be THAT skinny. I don't need to be a size 4. People that want to then more power to them. My mom, who is skinnier than me would almost daily complain about how fat she was. Finally I told her how much that hurt my feelings and she stopped bringing it up, that helped. Now I just don't bring up weight. I so have an all or nothing, but this site is really helping me overcome that. So I eat a brownie (or 2) I log it in my food journal and I see how many calories it is, about 250, which isn't going to make me gain a pound, I would have to eat 14 brownies to gain a pound. SO with the extra 500 calories, I know I should just try harder the next day. Once I visit the site the next day I feel better about myself. I always visit right after I check my email even if I don't have food to log just to remind myself that I have this tool and to read the forums for motivation! Good luck! |

| I am like bancroft too, not catholic, but christian and like to give up stuff. I usually pick a food to give up. This year I decided to give up swearing, I swear a lot! Bad I don't even realize it sometimes. But my co-worker decided to add something everyday instead of giving up, so she added an extra 10 on the treadmill and then an extra serving of veggies, and more water, etc.... | |||

| Me too. I was 171 this morn. I was stuck at 172 forever. I have a binging problem. It is no fun entering all those binge calories on the food log, I hope I never have to do that again. 160's here I come! | |||
