I would hit the salad bar.  Our local hospital has a great one and so does our Shaw's (Many family members worked there and back up how clean and how often the change the store's bar)

Edit to add both are sold by the pound (easy to add in here)

We are not talking 3 days in a row we are talking 3 days over a year.  Even if you ate 1 day a week at maintenance you would not ruin your healthy new life.    Yes it would slow things down  but in no way would it "kill" anything.

I agree don't beat yourself up.  I did do extra exercise today but it is what I do every year.    I went shopping for 8 hours,  that is over 1200 cal.  I will still do my normal day on top (even if I'm half asleep doing it I will do mindless work today, no weights)

No decking the halls here till after the 4th of Dec.  I like to keep the kids b-days separate from the holidays.  Unless they ask for it to be put up.

i didn't have far to go.  Out her door into mine 3 steps total.

Weight - 150.8 TOM started Wed. too.

I stayed under my burn so I did real well.

Was at the stores this morn at 2am.  got everything for 18 people in 6 stores and under $150.  I had to come home at 8 and take the kids to the last 2 because DH had to go to work.  I took them to pick out the cousins gifts. All I have left to get is my step fathers gift.  He is so hard to shop for he the type that wants something and gets it no matter what time of year.

I stayed in my calorie budget for yesterday.  I didn't weight everything but I did measure in cups.

Angie - we have the same timing it seems.

Black Friday - anyone else go?  I was there at 2 am.  came home at 8 so hubby could go to work then left with the kids in toe.  I finished my shopping in 6 stores. for 18 people (ages 1 - 61) for under $150.  I had some stuff but I had to put the rear seats into the floor of the minivan to get it in.   I will be wrapping tonight. Here people are polite and nice,  I helped a lady push her things along at Kohl's.

There is 2 lasagnas and 2 pumpkin pies along with a drunken chocolate pie (Kahlua) Calling me.

Go for the cool-whip just go light, both ways.

Question - I didn't read the can when I got the pumpkin for the pies and got one pumpkin one squash.  Do you think anyone will notice?  is there a big flavor difference?  I did notice that the squash was wetter.

Happy T-day

today made

  • lasagna
  • pumpkin pie

tomorrow I will put together the

  • roasted root veggies
  • reduced fat rolls
  • canned cranberry sauce
  • drunk chocolate pudding pie (Kahlua or coffee Baily's)

Sis is making

  • turkey
  • stuffing
  • mash potato
  • corn
  • corn bread
  • apple crumble pie

My plan is 1 bite of everything then only eat what I really like and keep size in check.  Oh I will be eating off a kids plate too.  No eggnog but I might have an adult drink.  (or jello shots those are low cal and sis live on the other side of our duplex)

I would like it very much if I could add a third line to the graph - Calorie deficit or overage.  That way I could see how my calorie count affects my weight.  That would be VERY powerful.  I might even give up the trend line for a calorie line.

I would love to have this also, nobody is perfect and what mimiyarn said is gold.

I third it.  Please.  please.

MMM - Sorry late.

One day this week have a meatless day.  and  try one food you disliked as a kid!

I was late because I went and cut my hair then came home and dyed it.  Roots were bad and thank- you Lyn I went and found more gray hair since you stated it.  I should have never looked. Any way my hair was to mid back now it is short.  Jenna Elfman (in accidentally on purpose)  and red like Debra Messing (Will and Grace). I love it.  But till I get use to it I have to straighten it.  That was a 2 hour deal now it's 30 min.

Going to dinner with the family and Parents.  So help them if one of them orders a cake for me I will beat someone.

Kankan- I definitely disagree.  Being stuck in a body you are insecure about is no way to spend the "best" years of life.

** Her body is strong and healthy everyone has something they don't like and you have to except that you can't be healthy and "perfect"

Also - WOAH.  Guys, this girl is not at risk for being underweight and is at the 81st percentile for her age.

*** that was with a higher weight she has lost weight since the post I saw.  She is now in the 68th.

These horrible comments are completely unwarranted.

***What horrible comments we have just told her she is at a healthy place.

Why does not posting her stats automatically mean that she is at risk for a disorder?

And to the people who posted the stats after - RUDE.

*** Because if you are saying people say your thin already and only post part of your stats it seems as if you are hiding something.

Beyond that, these kinds of comments from people (not the comments in the original post) are what CAUSE people to feel low self-esteem.   Way to be Internet bullies.

*** what has been said besides she is at a healthy point to really look at herself for herself and not compare herself to an unhealthy standard.   I'm pretty sure telling her she is perfect how she is, is the exact opposite of bulling.

Well I had to answer these comments.

I just saw another thread where you said you are 135 *** edit to add sorry 124.

Look here - you can add you age and measurments to see where you really are.  If you are over weight you can print it then every week update it and put it on the fridge like you do for A's on test.

http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/dieti ng/bmi.html

I also found this **** edit to do her real weight  11 ponds less then the 1st.***

A 15 year and 11 months old (female) child
who is 124 pounds
and is 5 feet and 3 inches tall has
a body mass index of 22.0,

which is at the 68th percentile,

and would indicate that your child is at a healthy weight. Keep in mind that it is still possible for a child to have an eating disorder even if they are at a healthy weight though.

They are saying it because your not even 16 yet.  How much do you weigh?  Remember you are still growing you need more then most on here. Also they want you to know that they see the change and they love you for you not your size.

A worst comment is " Can't you just take the day off ?"   um no! I know one day won't spoil my progress but if you allow one day it makes it to easy for it to become 2 or more.

I'm keeping my day at maintenance for the one day.   Monday is my B-day so I can't have two bad days in one week.  I'm going to allow 200 extra cal for my b-day and 500 for T-day.

I don't know if what I have been doing this week will work but I have been banking 50  cal a day since last Thur.  that will equal the 700 extra for that week.  In my head it works, we'll see if it's just girl math.  I use the same math for sale shopping.

Will he eat carrots?  try them steamed with a little bit of honey, salt and pepper.

I would also put two bites of the other things,  we have a 2 bite no-thank you rule.  You have to try at least 2 bites.  the first one they will say is gross just because that's what they are trained to do, the 2nd bite may surprise them.  taste buds change every 7 years for adults (I'm sure kids are faster)  keep trying he'll come around.

Have you ever tried Hummus?  start with a lemon (or garlic if he likes garlic)  great for dipping veggies or pita chips.

Have you tried roasting them.... broccoli with some parm cheese is really good.  try sweet potato fries, and spaghetti squash.  grilled summer squash brushed with Italian dressing.  Cheese makes any thing better.   Pasta sauce hides a lot and holds a lot, you can toss in grated carrots, diced summer squash, mushrooms, peppers, eggplant.   what about pot pies? you toss in a few new ones with the ones he'll eat.  tacos are good hiders too. also add beans to your taco meats stretch a buck and add some fiber and protein.

No-one here eats lima beans or brussels sprouts.

JJ - can we call you that?  Welcome.  Natalie is the same age as my youngest he'll be 2, Dec 3.  Congrats on your great start off.

Lyn - I do color my hair.  I use 3 different colors (half each box)   I have been every color there is.  Blond not so good,  I have olive skin with deep green eyes.  Plus the blond came out big bird yellow.   If you do a semi/demi you wont have to worry about it being off color because it wont really change your color.  Sun in is the worst thing ever,  real color is much gentler, ever permanent.  I have been doing mine since I was 14. My hair is soft and healthy,  it has frizz but that's from my crazy curls.

Turkey breast - great on the grill.  really juicy.  We are having turkey and Lasanga, roasted root veggies, stuffing, my pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce (from a can,the only way it's yum) corn, reduced fat biscuits, and salad.

I think my middle child may become a vegan?  She eats meat if it's cooked just so and it's still a fight.  the oldest has expensive taste, steak, sushi, duck, ribs.  And my little man,  he eat everything I think he's part goat because he'll eat toy food too.

Look for an independent pizza place.  If they don't have it suggest it.  it's the the size of a personal.   Here's the site to where we go you can give it to them for an idea.  it's in kids corner.  the boy eating the raw dough and the 2 girls are mine.

My parents are taking me out to eat.. oh joy...  I don't like the lack of control at a resturant.  I picked a BBQ smoke house.  they dry smoke all the meats and allow the fat to drip away and the sides are steamed veg, salad corn(w/o butter) beans, and corn bread.  They have no cake there so I'm safe.  I kinda skip my b-day because it get rolled into thanksgiving (I was born on turkey day) and it is also my father's B-day.

The kids are having a big pizza making party.  The local pizza place has make your own pizza night every Tues. for $5 per person  and the owner is a friend so we get half off.  the kids get to pick their sauce and two toppings.  My kids pick garlic sauce Becky tops it with spinach and mushrooms (or black olives)   Crysta .the oldest. likes sun-dried tomato with broccoli and Dev black olives and ricotta cheese.

SO I was told  I needed to start thinking of a maintenance plan since I'm getting close to my range.  But I have no idea.  This is the smallest I have been my whole adult life.  Every other time I got low I got preg.  Not happening this time I have a friendly IUD.  Any ideas?

try changing how you eat your foods too.  I took the kids apple picking great activity + healthy snacks= too many apples.

I found cutting them up tossing them with cinnamon and splenda and toss them in the microwave for 1.5 min.  then top with frozen yogurt, apple pie yogurt, or fat free cool whip.  apple = 100   frozen yogurt = 90  apple pie yogurt = 100 so now you have a "naughty" tasting dessert for 200 cal. or less.

Lyn - I have no idea how to maintain.  I was going to start spying on the  treads.

Grays  - a demi-permanent.  it last 60-90 days on reg hair and strains the grays giving you that high-lite look.  the staining will last a long time but fade.  I would go a shade or 2 lighter then your natural color.  It shouldn't change the rest just brighten it up.   maybe a honey color or red.
