Weight Loss alcohol is my DIETING problem! Jul 01 2008

OMG I feel your pain! I am not a bartender, but I am Ukrainian, and we Ukrainians love to drink :) Also, I work with guys only, and we go out for drinks at least once a week.  Hence, I do drink quite often.

So, again I know what you are going through.  The only thing I can suggest, and maybe you are already doing that, is to switch to light beer.  I swear it tastes almost the same, and has the same amount of alcohol, BUT so much less calories.  I also started drinking more white wine, because I like the taste and it has less calories.  Maybe when you get home after work, try sipping a glass of wine instead of beer.

Good luck!

Weight Loss Physical Weakness: What's going on? Jun 30 2008

I am not an expert. My advice is from my own experience. Maybe you should have more frequent meals or snacks between meals. I used to eat strictly 3 meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would get really weak in between the meals, and couldn't even workout normally. However, as soon as I started eating less at regular meal time and having healthy snacks instead, the problem was gone.

Good luck!

I like it...it gets my heart rate up high enough to make a difference (in my mind anyway.....) and most hotel gyms have them...I find I don't get as bored as I would on the elliptical....

My only problem is that my feet fall asleep...

OMG, my last two toes do that when I'm on ellipticals! I thought I was alone and freakish in that. Do you have any idea why it happens?

This happened to me too.  But as soon as I changed my sneakers it stopped happening.  My new pair of sneakers were the same size but a bit wider. I also started to wear thinner socks.

Ishepler - this is exactly what I did and each and every gave me different answer.
Lazykat - yes, I used these too.   I guess I should just take the average of all the results :)))  Which  gives me about 23%.
Foods Having problem with counting calories Mar 21 2007

I've been doing something like it already.  I am using measuring cup at home all the time, so at work it's easier now to measure food.

I guess for me bigger challenge is not measuring but actually figuring out the ingredients of every dish, since there is such a wide variety of food served.

I guess I could, but it is really not worth it.  First of all money wise. Second, food at work is always quite healthy, even more so than something I could possibly cook myself.  Finally, I simply too busy sometimes to prepare luch everyday.

Snowboarding is the best!
Here you can calculate how many calories you burn while snowboarding:

For me it's 1500 cal in 5 hours!  Amazing considering that I am actually having fun while doing it.
Fitness Tickers? Mar 15 2007

Here is step-by-step instructions, hopefully this will help.
1.  Go to www.tickerfactory.com go to the bottom of the page and you will see Excersise and Fitness link.  Click on it.

2. Now go through steps and create the ticker.

3. Select the HTML code.  It's the second text box.  Select ALL of the text!  Copy the selected text.

4. Go to CC website, than go to your profile and click edit on top.

5. Go to About Yourself part and paste the text.  Now click update and go view your profile.  It probably shows the text not the ticker.  It happens to me sometimes.

6. To fix this I click on edit again and without changing anything click on update yet again.  It should work now.

I hope this is more or less clear, if not let me know.  Good luck!!

I think that everything said above is true and I completely agree.
The only thing I would like to add is pilates.  You can get videos really cheap online or even in local library.  Pilates help you get those lean and toned muscles that you want.  I am doing it for about a month now and already see great results.

Fitness video trade? Mar 14 2007

You can try peerflix.com.  The website is from creators of Netflix.  Here people trade DVDs directly.  I am not sure if they have large selection of workout DVDs but I am sure they have something.

EDIT:
Yes, I just checked, they have a very large collection of workout DVDs.  So, all you need to do is sign up, post the DVDs you don't want and select the ones you want, and start trading.

Fitness Tailbone pops... Help! Mar 13 2007

Hi!  It happens to me during pilates workout too.
What helps me is to change the position of the legs a little bit.  I try to follow the moves exactly, but sometimes make some changes to help me out with this problem. I have windsor pilates video and there is always lady that makes easier moves so I try following hers when I feel the clicking in my tailbone.  For example, sometimes I bend my knee a little bit or try smaller range of motion.

I prefer Special K.  It's not too sweet and doesn't have too many calories.
I don't drink milk.  So, usually what I do, I mix half a cup of Special K, Light 'n Fit Nonfat Blueberry yogurt, and quarter of a cup sliced strawberries.  It tastes really good and all together only about 140 Cal.

Weight Loss 5.1 ..100lbs?? Mar 12 2007
20:18 (UTC)
Oh!  This post made me feel really fat :)))

I am 5'1" and now already 119 lbs, my BMI is in healthy weight range, and overall I feel very good.  I remember when I was 107.5lbs back when I was 17, but I think my body changed so much since then that I will never get to that weight.

I am not sure how old are you, but honestly, I think you shouldn't loose any more weight.  If you are not satisfied with the way your body looks try to WORK OUT.  This will make your body look fit and thinner.  I know working out is hard but you will love the results!

Hi!!
I am 23 and fresh out of college.  I've been working and studying for 5 years now and know exactly how you feel.  I was so stressed out that didn't even realize how much weight I gained.  I was so thin before college and even thinner before I came to US.
So again I know exactly how you feel. If you need support I am here daily and will help you in any way I can.
Good luck and never give up!!!

MITCHUM for men.  I know it's weird but it smells good:)) and also I think it's a bit more effective than the one for girls, I might be wrong.

There is also a prescription topical solution called Drysol.  You can ask your dermatologist or physician to prescribe it.  It saved my life, after using it for 3 times I was dry for a month!! It doesn't work for everyone, but it sure worth a try.

Good luck!
Weight Loss Which Scale to buy??? Jan 24 2007

I probably have the cheapest scale outthere.  It's mechanical (non-electronic) and I bought it for $10 from local pharmacy.  It doesn't measure body fat and doesn't have memory. BUT, it never gives different readings second or even third time around.  I learned to trust it.
