Hello Ladies,

I'm sorry I havent posted in a week. I have some good news! I'm starting a job with the state that I live in. My first day will be on the 16th. I have so many thoughts running through my head. I havent worked in 7 years.. Ouch I know!  Well this week I'm at 222 even. I gained .6   I have been so busy this week.  I have been eating alot of candy. The good thing is that I didnt gain a whole lot of weight back. I have been doing alot of house work inside and out. Trying to prepare my self for getting back in the work force. I have been a stay at home mom for 7 years... Wish me luck. I will try and check in from time to time.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN LADIES,

Well I did not make my mini goal of 219! I'm at 221.6. I'm going to keep trying. My next goal is 215 by Thanksgiving.

I have been reading this book called " The Complete Idiot's Guide to Losing Weight. I come to the page with calories burned by activity per minute. So it says 180 lb person burns 9.7 calories per minute when walking.  The CC tools tell me I only burn 167 calories per 30 min walk. So who is right? I'm guessing I burn 11 calories per minute 221 lbs. So a 30 min work out would be 330 calories.  Sitting quietly burns 1.7 cals for 180 lb person.  I will list a few activities, this is for a 180 lb person... add .8 for each 20 more pounds you weigh.

Okay 180 person burns this for one minute.

Running 17.0 cals       Walking 9.7 cals     &n bsp;  Skating   8.8 cals

Jogging 13.9 cals   swimming moderate  11.6 cals  Cycling 8.2 cals 

Weight Training 9.8 cals   Dancing aerobic 11.1 cals.

What do you think? Does this sound right?  Info from the American Council on Exercise, Fit Facts..

Last week 222.9  This week 222.2

We had alot of festivals in my area this weekend. We took the kids to them all. I did alot of walking, just did not see the scale move a whole lot.  It must be the salty peanuts I ate. Today I'm drinking alot more water. Hope to see better numbers in a few days.

Jpetty- Don't Give Up! Maybe it would be a good idea to get on that scale and see your numbers. That way it may motivate you to get back on track. (If you went up) It did me! I'm eating alot better foods. More fruit and vegs. I had to adjust my eating for long term success. Baby steps... God Luck        ;       Lisa  ^j^

Yea,  It was a good show last night. Jez worked so hard to put the perfect teams together and looked what happened.  Jez looked so good in the after picture. He has lost 100 lbs. You should of saw bob tho he was PO-ed..

No, he did it as a joke. He drank 2 gallons of water before weigh-in. He wanted to get Jez booted out and it worked.

Hello Ladies

How is everyone doing today? I made my 30 min walk today. My legs really burned alot.  I've been eating pretty good today also.. Tho, the pot of stew on the stove smells so good. The smell of it cooking makes me want to eat and eat.. Should I binge?  What is a binge?  You know I have to vent for a minute.  People on this site use that word so wrong. I have been reading some of the other threads and they say "they  binged".  Maybe they ate 5 slices of bread or a piece of apple pie. I think that is not a binge. Im not a nutritious but just because you may have went over 300-500 cals for the day, thats not a binge. I think a binge is if you were going to eat 3 oreos, and it turned out to be the whole bag that's a binge, or the whole pie. C'mon people what is up with a few cookies or a piece of pie every once in while. Just don't go over board.  Sorry I had to vent! Most of the time these post come from people that are 120lbs to begin with. I'm not criticizing anyone.    You always hear I wish I was ***. That is just a number, and if you are 300 you wish you were 200 and so on. Only you can make the weight loss happen. So if you are not happy then do something about it..  Stay focused, and don't give up. We can do this together.  Here are some positive affirmations...

Keep On Keeping On..  You Can Do It..  I Feel Great..

Fit Feels Good..    I'm Beautiful..  One Day At A Time..

I'm Prepared for Today's Workout..

I have been on and off the shot for 10 years.. I have 2 girls. I got back on the shot again after my last daughter was born in April of 2004. This past shot I lost 2 lbs.  I have gained on the shot, and have lost. It affect's people differently. Wish you luck!

Hello Ladies,

Dinner went well last night.  It was pretty low cal.  I did sneak in a little bowl of ice cream after. It was sooooo GOOD! I ate it really slow to enjoy every bite. 

Getfit-- My workout is pretty easy and I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week.  I do a 30 min walk on my treadmill and have 2 lb weights I use while on the treadmill.  So I do 2 workouts in one.  I walk 3-5 times a week. I'm eating around 1600 cals a day.  If you are standing and walking around for 7 hours, I would move up to moderate activity if you are exercising on a normal basis too.  You can play around with it for a week and alter your cals if you need to.     Lisa ^j^

Hey I'm willing to buddy up also. My stats are 5'8, wt 223.8, big boned, age 28.. I'm looking for a goal of 175ish.... 

Kristine- I'm  also a stay at home mom with 2 girls ages 3 & 6. I get on in the afternoon, that's when I'm done with house chores and walking on my treadmill. I usually post on the Females over 20 with 50+ lose... It's under the motivation forum.. We give some great support over there. Come check us out sometime..   Lisa

Hello Ladies,

I got back on the treadmill today, it really felt good to do my walk again.  My mother-in-law (aka Nana) is coming over for dinner tonight.  She is bring the girls some pumpkins to decorate.  That should be fun. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Beth- Hang in there! I know what ya mean when family comes to town.  Ask your mom if she would like to go on a walk with you, that gives you some alone time with her. Remember it takes 3500 cals to gain a pound back, so a little indulge while they are here is ok.  That way you can enjoy some of the food they are eating as well.  Good Luck!!!      &n bsp;        ;       &n bsp;

Hello Ladies,

How is everyone doing? It's rainy weather here today.  Chilli cookin weather. I'm going to cook some for dinner tonight. Uh, I havent walked on my Treadmill yet this week. My daughter is out of school for fall break, but she goes back tomorrow.  She get's her first report card of the year tomorrow.  Well I'm down to 223.8 and I hope to be 219 by Halloween.  Then 212 by Thanksgiving, and 207 by Christmas.. These are my mini goals.. What are yours??

Hello Ladies,

Well I did great at the fair. I didnt eat a thing there!  We stayed for 4 hours. I walked and stood the whole time. Beth my husband loves funnel cakes, but after he spent $8.00 for a drink and  fried hotdog on a stick, he just wasnt going to pay $6.00 for a funnel cake. Ouch! The food was so high.. We went to Pizza Hut later on that night. It was about 10:00 when we ate. I wasnt really hungry so I ate 2 hot wings and 1/2 bread stick. The pizza we ordered came out wrong so I only ate the topping off of 1 slice. It was suppose to be thin crust, it came out hand tossed.

Beth I am soooo Happy for you! Congrats on everyone's weight loss this week..

Thank you for the replys. Next time I'll try heating them up to see if that takes the bitter taste away.  The Italian brand was all sold out. Maybe that's why, It taste better..

I'm not use to the taste of the wrap yet.  They kinda taste bitter to me.  For lunch today I made one with turkey, swiss cheese, lettuce and mustard..  Yesterday I made one with lite ranch dressing, chicken, lettuce, tomato and cheese. 

If you heat the wraps in the oven do they get crispy like thin crust pizza? I want to try to make a pizza with lots of veggies.

Thanks for the suggestions.. They sound great!

Hello Ladies,

Well I had my 1 year exam yesterday..(Woman exam) Don't you just hate that.. All my blood work was great. My iron level was 15.2  and sugar level  was 100 that was  after eating breakfast.  I have to wait 2 weeks for my other test to come back..

Ok it's the weekend and I hate weekends when it comes to cooking...My DH is off on the weekends. So, I cooked him bacon and eggs with toast.. Yes ladies I ate 2 slices of bacon. I made a dry blt. NO MAYO.. So maybe I'll be alright.  I ate brown rice last night.  I made fried rice with green and red peppers, green onions, mushrooms and shrimp...no eggs. no extra fat. I used pam. Calories come out to be 400 for dinner..  That was sweet.  I love shrimp fried rice and I found a better way to make it w/out all the fat. Chinese food is my weakness... Tonight I'm making stew with lots and lots of vegs....     ^j^   Lisa

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great day.. Well I cooked a pan of brownies last night per request of my DH and kids... I took half the pan to church, so I wouldnt eat the rest today. I had the will power last night.. Only ate one bite of my daughters brownie and it was a small bite.. I was proud of myself..  I have walked 4 days this week on my Treadmill that's 5 1/2 miles so far. I go to the doctor Tuesday to get my depo shot, I hope to see good results. Last time I was there my weight was up to 232. (3 months ago)

Anitambar- I'm not rushing my weight loss. Slow and steady wins the race.. So maybe I'll see some changes down the road. To get rid of this baby face (slight double chin) would be great... Then I could wear my hair back and feel good about myself....

Beth- How are you doing today with your walking?

Livefree- I only lost .6 this week... A loss is better than a gain... I've worked out a little harder this week.. Hope to see good results come monday...              &nb sp; Peace and Love    Lisa ^j^

Ah, I am baking brownies right now per request of my kids and husband.. The house smells so good... I am going to give them a few and take the rest to church tonight... Do you have any 100 calorie packs of popcorn. When I want to munch I pop a bag.  I think I will stick to the popcorn tonight and not the brownie....

Hi avesha.  It's been a  long time sense we have heard from you... I have to say I kinda moved to another Thread.. The female 20's with 50+ lbs... I have some new friends over there.  It was dead here for a while, but I will check in time to time to say Hi... I have a re-do over date, started back on the wagon Spet 21, as of then I'm down 2lbs.  I have gained 8lb back over the summer months.. Today's weight is 226. Hope to see 219 by Halloween. I'm  counting my calories and walking on my Treadmill.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day....  For once in my life I want to finish something I started!!!!   Lisa
