Well, don't know about doing it intentionally, but the other day the hubby tried a new stir fry sauce (chilli with garlic and hot enough that I ate it really fast so as not to kill either my tongue or my husband's ego) which certainly did "push" the fat out of me! Lol, probably TMI but chillis in large doses can have that effect. |

I almost died from the disgusting fish burps!! Never again will I take fish oil! Found a bottle of evening primrose oil which also has the omegas in it, so does flax oil if you can find that. Much nicer stuff and you can use it on your face if you skin gets really dry too :P |

Peppermint ice cream!! Fortunately it's only available in December so I only get 1 tub a year -- but it doesn't seem to last more than a day or two. :( |

Well I'm 5' nothing so short, but I have a fair amount of muscle. I'm not working out for the next 2 weeks as I'm visiting with my parents, but when I'm at home I try to get to the gym 3 times a week (would like to do 5 but doesn't seem to happen while working, does it?) so I'll be eating more then. Then there's the problem of going to work while the stay at home husband cooks non-diet-friendly evening meals and gets grumpy if I don't eat much! LOL.
Actually I've been pretty full all day, probably because I'm getting plenty of sleep and not being stressed out with work at the moment. If only vacation could last forever, huh? Need to figure out ways of bringing the good stuff back home with me, eg going to bed early while still making it to the gym each evening.

You need to put it in a higher gear, eg so that it's harder to push the pedals around, but you go further/faster with each circle of the pedals. :) |

Hi sorry, yes, I did mean to list it twice because if I listed it once it would be some weird fraction of a cup. =)
They're not that small-- depends on what you consider a reasonable cookie size to be. If you bake these on a sheet they spread out somewhat, so would be about 2" diameter from a dropped rounded teaspoonful of dough. The ones I did in the yorkshire tins rose up a bit and were like little brownie bite sized.
Hope this helps! |

The yoghurts are fantastic, especially when they go on sale at half price lol. Never thought I would like prune yoghurt! Also, once I saw some dessert flavoured yoghurts, at like 60 cals each, such as apple crumble, raspberry tart, etc that actually had bits of crumb in them. YUM! But for some odd reason I've never seen them in the store since then...
As for frozen dinners, I think Lean Cuisine beats WW on price, protein content and calories, although you do have to read the nutrition info as it varies widely between different dishes. Just my two cents here though. |

It is normal for those of us who are trying to achieve a goal we have set for ourselves. How do you make sure you stick to your plan for the day? By arranging everything the day before so you are less likely go grab cake, biscuits, whatever is lying around because you can't think of something healthy to eat. Besides, some of us have to rush off to work and don't have time to plan meals in the morning. I don't see this as any different than packing a child's lunch the night before-- it has to be done, so you should do it when you have the time to think about what you're putting in there.
Same with exercise. If you schedule it, you are more likely to do it than if you just say you'll exercise when you feel like it (maybe).
That said, you shouldn't be so tied into your plans that you can't change them if need be (you get asked on a hot date and have to eat out, or you do what I did today and skip going to the gym in favour of cycling 14 miles round trip to a craft fair!) |

| To the person with seven paris of crocs: we should get together-- I'll bring my seven pairs of uggs! (yes, in different colours-- my best pair is lilac, though I tend to save the yellow ones for winter days when I'm in a bad mood-- they never fail to cheer me up!) | |||

| Last time I lost 15 lbs by taking a Lean Cuisine and an apple, pear, or side salad to work for lunch every day. I usually bought the ones with the lowest calories and sodium, and highest protein-- average was about 300-350 cals for the Lean Cuisine, though I think there are some 250 cal ones as well. Sides are things like rice or veggies-- I really do like them, and if you watch the sales you can sometimes find them for like $2 each, then just store them in the freezer. | |||

| my only every-week all the time without fail food is APPLES!! I LOVE apples! I did a cycle tour of France and England on mostly apples, fresh-baked bread, and chocolate. (I wouldn't recommend the chocolate for dieting-- I was cycling 10+ hours a day and *needed* those cals!) But yeah apples. :) Other goodies: oatmeal some kind of fruit/bran cereal bananas pears grain such as barley, quinoa, bulgur wheat, millet, etc low-sodium soup, vegetable, chicken, lentil, or bean. Soup most days for lunch. bagged salad - nice for the variety of lettuces in them yoghurt - I go through a ton of the stuff. When I can afford it I buy the lower cal ones, otherwise whatever's cheapest but eat less of it. eggs - lovely breakfast for the weekends is one egg, scrambled, over two slices of wholemeal toast, with plenty of black pepper! carrots, grapes, broccoli, peas, bell peppers - ie crunchy stuff for snacking on mid-morning! Really good for taking to work. Hummous - to dip carrots, broccoli, peas, etc in. Can also use low cal dressing. some kind of nut - brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans. I have about 160 cals worth (24 almonds, 7 brazils, or etc.) every other day or so. berries - when I can afford them - very good snacking, dessert, and/or breakfast foods! dried fruit - not too much, but dried apricots/figs/prunes/whatever are nice when you need something sweet. low cal fruit juice - ie cranberry, or juice blends, but with the artificial sweeteners. I know, not ideal to have the artificial stuff, but it works great for losing. I try to cut the stuff out for maintenance. You could also try watering down the sugared variteys. tea! fennel is esp. good for when you're feeling hungry, as is cinnamon. chamomile is nice too. frozen low-cal dinners - lean cuisine is usu cheapest and lowest in cals, but any kind you like - good for when it's the husband's turn to cook and he makes lasagne, or when he orders out and gets chinese food. Just pull out your frozen low-cal lasagna or low-cal stir fry veg with rice/chinese with rice and it's like you're having the same thing, only your portion is measured out already! =) Also good for if you come home from work and must eat NOW and are tempted to order out. Frozen dinners heat up in less than 5 mins. spreadable cheese - light or reduced fat - good for putting on wholemeal toast or dipping veg in. wholemeal bread!!!! goat's cheese - you don't need much as it tastes strongly. good on baked potatoes, or in salads with a light vinaigrette, or on toast, veg, or anywhere else cheese is good! |
