Alrighty.....count me in.  I weighed in at a whopping 294 lbs. January 1, 2007.  I felt absolutely horrible over the holidays with everything that I was consuming.  I decided along with DH (dear husband) to change my lifestyle.  I began Leslie Sansones walk away the lbs. videos and to cut my caloric intake down to 1300-1450.  I have never tried counting calories, but I have done everything else!!!!!  Weight Watchers, Adipex, Dexatrim, Slim-Fast, Atkins, The Carb Addicts Diet, The Makers Diet....the list goes on and on.  Recently my DH, who happens to be an engineer by trade, explained what to him was simple math.  Caloric intake and calaric burn.  I thought, well, he has never steered me wrong before and I trust him with my life, so why not my weight and my life?  Well here I am....January 29, and I've lost 11.8 lbs. and I'm exercising daily and feeling fantastic all day long.  To me....that's what it's all about.  Sure I know I'm going to have some really down days, but as long as I can come back here and jump back on and get some support, I think I'll be alright.  As of today....I have to lose 117 lbs.  I am in this for the long haul and for changing my life. SO..................COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My all time favorite soup is this recipe from Cooking Light.  It's very hard for me to find something my three kids and husband all enjoy and I hit the jackpot with this one...as a matter of fact I'm making this one this week

1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
object2=" ?>1 cup chopped onion
object2=" ?>1 cup (1/4-inch-thick) slices carrot
object2=" ?>2/3 cup chopped celery
object2=" ?>2 garlic cloves, minced
object2=" ?>5 cups fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
object2=" ?>2 cups water
object2=" ?>1 1/4 cups sun-dried tomato halves, packed without oil, chopped (about 3 ounces)
object2=" ?>1/2 teaspoon dried basil
object2=" ?>1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
object2=" ?>1 bay leaf
object2=" ?>3 cups fresh cheese tortellini (about 12 ounces)
object2=" ?>1 cup chopped bok choy

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic; sauté 5 minutes. Add broth and next 5 ingredients (through bay leaf); bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 2 minutes. Add pasta and bok choy; simmer 7 minutes or until pasta is done. Discard bay leaf.

Yield: 6 servings (serving size: about 1 1/2 cups)

I like to put peaches in saute pan with a little cooking spray and just enough brown sugar to taste, saute that briefly or until it is to your liking.  Season with cinnamon, nutmeg or whatever else you like....vanilla would be great too.  Then I put a dollop of FREE Cool Whip ontop....tastes like a wonderful dessert.
