Happy March everyone!

Let's start this month of with a new attitude for weight loss. I have been at this diligently since 1/22 and have only lost 1.5 lbs with no more than 1400 calories a day, even on weekends!  Talk about metabolism slowing down, I'm not 50 yet!  (Sept)  I exercise at the gym 3-4 x week but to no avail. I'm not giving up now just out of anger !

I love reading all your emails and realize there are some wonderful committed women out there (and men too!).

Sounds like you are doing great.  I am frustrated with only a 1lb loss in 3 wks! 

I eat only about 1400 per day/no more!

i'm wondering if you are entering correct amounts if you only eat 1,000 per day.  They add up so quickly, you must hardly be eating anything!  

Are you eating 3 meals?  I could kill 1,000 calories by eating crackers and cheese. Add some fruit and maybe a slice of whole wheat bread and you make 1,000 easy!  Are you being honest with proportions?

I too got a box of chocolates for V-tines day(Whitman sampler)  3 pieces=190 calories.  Figure if you ate 9 pieces that would be 570 calories.

Okay Sharonc27;

Here's the deal.  I eat 1200-1400/day.  Yesterday I went a little over and ate 1437 (there was a b-day party at work).  NOw today I shoveled snow for two solid hours and burnt 811 calories just from that.  I only at a little over 1,000 so far today

ALL IN ALL, SINCE 1/22, AT THIS RATE, I ONLY LOST A TOTAL OF 1 LB!!!!! What am i doing wrong?  I don't know how this works sharon. Maybe you can guide me.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

 I finally saw a .5 lb decrease today after 2 solid weeks.

I feel I am eating enough because I'm not hungry and I'm eating a lot of fruits and veggies.  I DO allow myself a little bit of chocolate every day. Believe me, I count those calories too!! My body does hold fat (as can be seen by my cellulite!)

Hey;

I'm a newbie to this site.  I am 49 yrs old and a former member of diet.com which i found successful in dropping 15 lbs last yr. Gained 7 back. Now, I've been on track diligently since 1/22 and have not lost 1 lb! Only 1300-1400 cals./day maximum!  Work out at the gym on elliptical 3x week!  HELLLPP!  I'm disgusted this time. What's the deal?  How can i go 2 solid weeks and not lose an ounce. In fact at one point I gained 2 lbs.  My analysis every day is an "A".  PLease guys, some words of encouragement here!
