I like Raspberry Stoli's and diet 7-up/diet sprite any other clear soda. My weekends are definately hard on the weight management. I used to be able to consume and entire 12 pack of miller light and was proud that I could drink like a guy. I have slowed down on the beer a bit and have noticed a change in weight.

Too much Halloween candy sitting around. I gained 1lb. Weighing in this morning @ 140.00

What day are we supposed to be weighing in? I have the problem of weighing everyday as well.

Try stunning  your body. Eat like 1600 cals for a couple days then return to 1100/1200. This should boost your metabolism and help to get the weight off. I am in college as well. And 136.5, I am far from a supermodel. I do feel out of place, but mostly because I probably should have graduated about 5 years ago. Anywho, try the stunning, if that doesn't work add a little cardio. Hope this helps.

Back for an update after my long weekend. Gained 1 lb.... =(

Not to sound gross but I get the awful full gross feeling but it is usually from gas, or not eating enough fiber to make me go pody. Hence I get a little backed up. Yes, it does get worse throughout the day. Try not to eat large portions and make sure you watch your sodium intake to avoid the bloating throughout the day. I feel like a complete fatty when I am all bloated out from eating. Wish I was at the point of waking up and having a flat stomach. =)

Back for an update....

Start weight 146.00

138.00 this morning! It's been awhile since I have seen the 130's steadily. Feels nice. Question, so I want to eat my 100 calorie pack of popcorn that I brought to work today. When I try to enter it into my food log, it says 110 calories? It also says 3 tbsp? Is this right? Are there really only 3 tbsps in that little popcorn bag? And why 110 ??? I am confusing myself. Maybe I just won't eat it. Except it's sitting here on my desk calling my name =)

Haha,

loosingthepounds that was pretty funny. I actually have a cousin that took some kind of weightloss drug a long time ago and she had that problem. Said she actually had to take off work cuz she couldn't hold it. =) I would really like to hear as much response as possible about Alli though. My mom is currently taking it and I haven't had a chance to call and ask her how she's doing with it. If I hear from her and how it's going, I will be sure to let you all know!

Your trend is a snap shot of what you are actually accomplishing. It is taken from a certain amount of data points on the graph. I am not sure how many data points it is looking at so it's not really that accurate. Say it was looking back 10 logged weights. It would average them out and determine whether you are trending down in weight, staying steady or trending up. You would actually have to have probably two to three bad weight days just to make the line start going back up. But once again, it all depends on how many data points it is looking at. Hope this helps! I know I love to watch my trend line drop. Doesn't happen fast enough for my taste. =(

I am so mad at myself. I didn't work out last night or this morning. Definately have to make up for it later today. = (~

I haven't weighed in today yet.... I am praying I hit below the 140 mark for the first time in 2 months. Wish me luck!

Your metabolism is better than mine! You go girl. I couldn't lose 1/2lb a day if someone were paying me to do it.

I got some Herbal life tea concentrate a couple weeks ago. Trying it today. Tastes great but makes me hyper. =)

I actually have both, a TM and Eliptical. I only use the eliptical though. I have tendonitis in both ankles and can't handle impact. Also, the treadmill doesn't have an incline on it, therefore, I feel nothing. I have a membership at fitworks but don't go anymore. I used to go 4/5 times a week and always stuck to the eliptical. It also helped that they had a movie theatre inside so you didn't get distracted from the routine. Although, I think I have seen "Over the Hedge" and "RedEye" about 20 times each now.

I am glad you enjoyed the beans! It's my safe alternative. I am guessing from your name you are from Ohio? I am actually in ohio as well. Thinking of your knee. Instead of walking/running, I went out and bought an eliptical machine (cheap) from Value City. I got it awhile ago but they are worth looking into. I think I paid 129.00$$ Highly recommend it to help avoid the joint pain.  By the way, you are doing well....no allowance for depression today, IT'S FRIDAY!!!! wooo hooo!

Another alternative to a blah salad: Add sun dried cranberries to any chicken salad/regular salad. They give me the sweet that I crave while eating chicken for the 5th time in a week. =)

Where do you guys get salt substitute? Good thing to try is fat free refried beans. 1 tortilla and some beans, little bit of sauce. awsome alternative to the every day grind. Probably around 250 cals or 300.

I would be careful with the 800 calories or less thing. I have passed out from not eating before. It's one of the worst feelings. Make sure you are taking multi vitamins too! Any of you ever tried Herbalife appetite control pills? I have some and I am afraid to try them for fear they may mix with other meds. There isn't any caffiene in them so I am wondering how they are supposed to work?

I have the same problem with not having the motivation to exercise when I get home. It feels like I get home, cook dinner, clean up and go to bed. I can't imagine throwing some kids in the mix. I did find that I stuck with working out in the morning longer than anything that I have ever tried. I would hit the gym at 5am and then not have to worry about working out when I got home from work that evening. At first, it feels like you are going to die when you are on at eliptical at 5:30 in the morning but it eventually catches up to you. In time you feel guilty if you don't do it. I need to start practicing what I preach. Good luck to you!

Hi all!

I have been a member of this site for a little over 6 months and have never posted a word. I have recently been gaining weight over the past month and my friends/family joke with me and tell me it's because I am comfortable.( I recently got engaged). I am not getting married for another year but I need some encouragement to start now. I have the ambition all day to work out while I am at work reading everyone else's success stories but by the time I get home, nada.... Any tips/tricks on how to get away from consuming so much food on weekends? I seem to have a problem with sitting by a bon fire and drinking beer and eating non stop all weekend.

Goal Weight - 115-120 ish....

I drank slimfast shakes for every meal instead of breakfast and lunch.... Made it about 6 days before I had to stop. Lost 6lbs but it's never good to not have a solid BM for that long. =)
