Congratulations on your accomplishment! Your muscles need to heal. Protein will help with that. I suggest not to run for the next 3 to 6 days (at least) otherwise you might injure yourself. And then don't run hard for another week after that. Rule of thumb it takes a day per mile for your body to recouperate from a race.

I read somewhere, don't ask me where though, that eating under 1400 calories is not good for you, because of lack of nutrient intake that your body needs, so maybe you could add a powerbar (or any type of other bar) into your eating schedule. I am sure it is ok for you to be under the recommeded intake once in a while, but making it a habit would be unhealthy, which defeats the purpose of weight loss! :) So my two cent is to find something healthy to make it up to the 1400. Good Luck! Penny |

I agree, not stepping on the scale is difficult. I do it every morning and I write it down, but only my "Monday weight" is what I take to monitor my overall weight loss with. Don't forget to take into account that females might weight more during certain times of the month than others. Good luck! Penny |
