I use this one all the time :)

The Beer Song. I know it off by heart. Too long to type out though. "Dough, the thing that buys my beer/ Ray, the guy who sells me beer..."

I'm actually recovering myself as well, so I can understand the concern you have for yourself and others as well.

In my defence, I do not INSIST that anyone participate in this survey, nor do I demand that they answer every single question. As I said, if something is too personal or painful, it is not necessary to hare it. When you're asking about something as sensitive as an eating disorder, it is obvious that triggering questions may arise. Just don't answer them if you find it unneccesary.

Additionally, there is always the option of PMing, as many people have done, when they are not ready to disclose their information to everyone.

Again, if this is painful or triggering... don't participate, and don't read the thread. I would just take off the thread altogether and continue on a PM only format, but then I read what gibbit wrote. If this IS helpful for people, then they deserve to have somewhere to share.

Thanks for the heads up regardless, I know it's coming from a good place :)

Thanks so much, guys! If there's anyone else, I'll just put the questionnaire up here :) You can either put the answers up here, or PM them to me.

"

So let's just get some stats:

HW, CW, GW, sex, age, height.

Now, for the juicier stuff:

Describe a bit about your family, social and romantic life.

What category would you say your eating disorder falls under?

What circumstances would you say triggered your eating disorder?

What made you realize you had developed your eating disorder?

Do you have a history of eating disorders? Are there others within your immidiate circle of family and friends witheating disorders?

Describe any changes you've noticed in your own behaviours since the eating disorder began.

Describe any changes you've noticed in other's relationships towards you since your wating disorder began.

Have you managed to keep your eating disorder a secret? Who have you told? Has anyone found out on their own?

If so, how did they react? Have they been a help or a hinderance?

What would you say is the hardest thing about your eating disorder?

What would you say you actually enjoy about having an eating disorder?

Describe some of the emotions you have had to face since developing your eating disorder.

Do you have any rituals/ obsessions with food or excersise? Describe them.

Have you ever had to use trickery to fool others about hyour eating disorder? Your family/ friends/ doctor?

Do you have a therapist or any kind of professional help?

Describe any physical and emotional changes you have noticed in yourself since you have developed your eating disorder.

Feel free to share any other stories/anecdotes that have to do with your eating disorder, whether they are particularily painful or, conversly, particularily amusing.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? 10 years?

Who or what would you say has/have been your biggest motivators for recovery?

Describe the difference to you between a good day and a bad day.

"

You don't have to answer all of the questions if you find them either too time consuming, unapplicable, or too personal. Thanks for your contributed time and effort.

I'll let anyone know how the work's coming along if they'd like updates :)

!@#$%^&*%$^&

OMG. Someone PLEASE. I realy need support. I just got into a huge argument with my mum, but I decided, no, I was going to be good. I was going to eat anyway. So fine. I did.But I was feeling pretty "ill" obviously, since we'd been fighting, and I just couldn't resist the weigh-in.

AN ENTIRE KILO MORE. THAT IS 2.2 POUNDS. THAT IS A FRIGGIN' LOT!!!!! 7,000 EXTRA CALORIES MORE THAN MY BODY USES. WTF?? I DIDN'T EVEN GIVE IT 7,000 CALORIES EXTRA TO BEGIN WITH!!!

I thought this eating more cals thing was going to work...

And I felt HUGE the entire day too. It's my sister's wedding tomorrow and I just KNEW the dress fit tighter. This only confirms my suspisions.

I just really REALLY want to restrict right now. A lot. I've only added about 200 cals extra every day so far, and it's already cost me more than 2 pounds. I really feel like I can't do this.

Proof: it's 12:30 at night here, and I'm sitting at my computer desk in tears.

personally, although i AM in high school, i've never dated a high school guy. why? BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT MATURE ENOUGH YET!! girls mature faster than boys anyway :P

And i can definately tell you, while i was anorexically underwieght, guys didn't even LOOK at me. my b/f is always commenting on how much he loves my breasts and nice butt :)

"skinny" is a competition between girls. who can eat less. who can see whose RIBS through their clothes...

ur body needs longer than that to adjust, in my opinion. NO U SHOULDN'T RESTRICT. starving sucks :P

and, when ur metabolism revvs back up, u can lose the extra few pounds HEALTHILY.

Ok guys. So I'm TRYING TRYING TRYING. Really, I am. I'm following the thread (and the one by revolution3 as well), like it's a soap opera. I keep hearing all of your success stories, and I can't tell you what an inspiration you guys all are.

BUT! Can someone PRETTY PLEASE shut up my ED??? I'm TRYING, but a much as I HATE that whispering voice, it is very much there. I was taking in an average of 1,000 to 1,100 cals/ day, and the uppiest I've gotten is around 1,400, and this is WITH stuffing myself at night with scary foods etc.

question one: How much should I bump by? I'm roughly at 1,200 cal a day now, but, come on, I need more than that, I know. I'm 5"3 and approx. 110 pounds, and a teenager.

question two: how long should I not look at the scale for? You guys know what I mean... I HATE myself for restricting sometimes, but I feel like I will if I see that scale start to do its little dance on me.

question three: I tend to eat brekkie fine most days, but like, STARVE 'till 4 or 5, then dinner and just BINGE until I go to bed. This is going to be the hardest to get over, I know. Does it actually matter WHEN I take in the cals?

i'd personally suggest replacing adding caloric things like juice or milk to every meal.

get rid of any "diet" or "low fat". Mmm...

a 1/3 cup of nuts (about a handful) is 250-300 cals. easy peasy.

peanut butter. lots.

avocado.
