| Several of us have very similar numbers. I've lost 43 lbs and 30 inches since January (2007). I went from a size 16 pants to an 8. I'd like to be around 135 (these last 6 lbs just don't seem to want to go). I currently weigh 141....:) |

| bonj982 It's not that I'm not used to "getting attention". I get plenty of attention from men and their comments are never negative. I always do smile politely and say thank-you. I'm not going to let these women know that they're little snide comments bother me. It's just that recently I'm really get tired of it, I mean get over it. I've never given this catty jealous reaction to people that's lost weight, I've always been happy for them and saw them as an inspiration, not somebody to be envious of. I mean why is it okay to say there goes "Miss Skinny".....I hate you. It wouldn't be okay for me to say there goes "Miss Fatty"......I hate you. A lot of people are very self-centered and think everything revolves around them, like my weight loss is a slap in their face that they haven't lost weight. Since when did it become about them. Why can't people say, way to go, and let that be the end of it or not say anything at all. Sorry, I guess I'm venting.......:( |

| Try Ivarest it's great for poison ivy. Sorry you're having to go through this, I know how terrible it can be. I once had it for a month. I ended up going to the doctor and he gave me a shot (cordisone I think). He also gave me prednisone. Take care and good luck...:) |

| Thanks for your sweet compliments everybody, you've made me feel better.
Believe me she didn't mean it as a compliment, I happened to be weighing a banana when she walked by my desk and she said you're not still trying to lose weight are you, you've already lost too much weight because you're gaunt looking. When I asked her where I looked gaunt, she said my face and arms. I told her how much I weighed and she was like you don't look like you weigh that much. I just kind of laughed it off and changed the subject, but it's been bugging me all day. Again, thanks for confirming what I suspected, she's being catty. |

| I've been getting compliments for a while now. I've lost 38 lbs, but people started noticing after I'd lost 20. They all say the same thing "you look great"! It makes me feel good, but there's this little part of me that thinks, boy, did I look that bad before? I guess I did, but I don't think I ever realized how "big" I really looked. Even when I was heavier I had a pretty good body image.
I also don't really like it when people say you're getting so skinny. I know they mean it as a compliment, but I've always seen skinny as a kind of negative word. I guess because when I was growing up I was always one of the "skinny" girls and people always made comments like the wind was going to blow me away or something like that. I know now they were probably envious, but it came across as a bad thing. Another thing I've noticed is when I tell people how I've lost weight, they kind of have this skeptical look on their face like that's not how I really lost the weight and I've done something else like some miracle pill or something. Either way, it's better to get compliments than nothing at all, so I'm not complaining.....:) |

| We have four cats, but Ashley is my kitty and I'm her human. God sent her to me 12 years ago, and I love her like she was my kid. She's a faded tortishell and I think she's the most beautiful cat I've ever seen in my life. Please go check her out since I'm so proud....:) Ashley |
