Jasmine Ready to get back to myself Member Since Jan 24, 2007 Last Login Jan 24, 2007 Location Omaha Bio I am 26 years old and work as a social worker in a private cancer clinic that administers chemotherapy. I have a minor in art and received two graduate degrees almost two years ago in Social Work and Public Administration from UNO. I went to undergrad at UNL and had an active social life there. I gained most of my weight after undergrad in graduate school and was 130, but was up to 190 and am now back down to 169, but my goal weight is 130. I have some medical problems that caused me to gain weight and have just began working with a personal trainer. I also have started a biggest loser contest among my co-workers in my office here. We have drug reps bring food about twice a week! Many nurses/staff are overweight in my office and don't care to be health conscious. We also constatly receive gifts ie(sweets) from many of our patients and their families. I have been dating my boyfriend for over two years and we plan to get engaged soon and I would definately like to loose weight for my wedding and have my sister's wedding in June. I have tried weight watchers for the past year online and haven't found it helpful. Just recently I have tried calorie counting and had been afriad b/c I didn't want to become obsessed with this as I have been in the past. But it is really working and it not as time consuming as I thought it would be. My boyfreind is doing this as well and we are trying to eat better together. Interests 6: creating art, family, reading, scrabble, shopping, turbo kickboxing classes |
