| I'm so P.O.'d... I was telling my friend at lunch today that I'm trying to go raw, and she got so mad at me! She thinks that people can't possibly thrive on just fruits and vegetables. I was trying to convince her that of course we could, but then other friends joined in and ganged up on me!!! How can I stop the ignorance? I'm going insane! | |||

| I say go for it. As long as you get enough protein and nutrients, vegan sounds like its really good for you. Plus you're standing up for something you believe in, which totally rocks.
People are going to try to convince you that eating meat and eggs is necessary, but of course we veggies know it definitely isn't. My advice is, stick to your guns, girl. Good luck! :) |

| has anyone tried the new southwestern salad that they offer
I managed to take the chicken out, and it still tasted really good, for a mcDonald's salad...the dressing's even not THAT high-calorie (for a salad dressing, of course).. of course, not for vegans, cos there's cheese :X |

| mmm the only cooked thing I need to eat is sweet potato...no butter, baked in the oven...hea-ven.
I bought a mango today for the first time! It's my new favorite fruit, besides pineapple of course :) I'll keep you posted! |

| hmmm...well, languages are my primary hobby. I'm currently learning French and Portuguese (I like Portuguese better, but I've been learning French since I was 12, so I feel obligated to continue with it.)
I'm a student in HS right now, but eventually I want to join the Peace Corps, preferably in Latin America or West Africa. It would be awesome to help people develop their societies better, and I would especially love to help kids learn English so that they can get good jobs when they're older. On a non-educational level, I love the beach, hanging out with my crazy friends, whining about snow, ans spending time with my family. I love all kinds of music and am a movie buff as well. :) |

| haha lily it's so funny you mentioned that because I actually live in Massachusetts and listen to 97.3 (the Fall River Station)!!! I turn it on the minute I wake up and listen while I get ready for school :)
thanks for the suggestion, though. deannad...my friend and I are starting Spanish together next year...she's doing it because she wants to be a kindergarten teacher and the hispanic population in the US is increasing rapidly...I'm doing it for fun :) |

| lol sometimes I yell at my parents (playfully) for not raising me to be bilingual...or in Europe, where they speak so many languages
I should probably be studying Spanish right now, since I'm taking it in school next year (along with French...we only get one elective, and I'm using it for an additional academic course...wow) I'm such a weirdo when it comes to learning languages...I try to immerse myself in it as much and often as I can...for example, I try to read news online from Globo, and there's a radio station in a nearby town that broadcasts mostly in Portuguese... wow, swahili...that's different, but cool! |

I know enough french to decently communicate, so I kinda wish he spoke that... I found out that he's Brazilian, so his mother language is Portuguese but he still speaks Spanish... I decided I'm going to learn a few portuguese phrases to be polite, then admit that i really don't know anything of that language (lol) but be willing to try and communicate in Spanish and help him with his English... haha the only big problem I have with pronunciation is that I'm used to thinking of words using French pronunciation,,,and everytime I see the word "dice" I think it sounds like "dee-chay" (is that Italian or something?). |

he probably is a little lonely...I live in the suburbs of Massachusetts...NOBODY speaks Spanish here Gosh, and English is so hard to learn, I bet haha luckily I'm really good at languages (I think?) and yeah, I guess body language does go a long way.
