Agana : Do you have some pics of the workout? I do not think I am AT ALL able to do anything but just move a few inches from sie to side with out falling :D

Chief77 : When you do the planks, after you hold for 30 seconds, do you lower the entire body to the floor and then raise up again to the position? Also do you have an illustration of the leg raises?

5'3 and biggest weight was 154 pounds .. right now I am at 139, ideal goal is in the start/mid 120'ies..

I too fell off the wagon, kindoff.. I wento away for a weekend trip in the end of february and didn't log on when I came back.. I only logged back on yesterday evening, so I am beginning again. luckily I haven't gained anything much, about one pound, and I have only gained on my hips, half an inch, but it is BACK on, so I can HOPEFULLY complete my goal .. sigh .. even though it seems like wishfull thinking.

Yes, I did eat dinner about 30 minutes before working out..

and Yes, I am VERY new to pilates - I like it, because you can do it at home, without jumping around (to spare my downstairs neighbours) and I have heard so many good things about it.

I know that I should prop. do the lighter workouts - I quess it is a typical rookie mistake, that you desperatly wanna start doing something good and may try out too hard.

Is it okay to drink water in the workout or only x minutes before and x minutes after workout?

Count me in too in the apple count! Size wise I am 2 sizes bigger on my waist than on my hips.. it is driving me nuts! LUCKILY I have begun loosing weight (not a lot yet)  and I can def. see it on my tummy, not as much as I like, but hopefully it will come :)

Hi..

I know how you feel, I am in the EXACT same situation (posted a new topic today that I needed support). I have been doing SO well and I am gaining etc.

I am gonna say what I need to hear too: It will come off. Our bodies aren't robots, where you exercise 350 kcal off ten times and you drop exactly one pound.. Our bodies are complex, where a lot changes. Maybe you are exercising so you are gaining muscle, maybe you're are eating too little versus your training, maybe you're at a plateau, it can be a number of things. Maybe you should see your doctor, to ask if he can run some tests or something..

I am telling myself that I should give it time to work and then some more time. I must focus on keeping on, because in the end it will work.

I agree with a calorie is a calorie.. However, the foods you eat can affect your diet in the way of keeping you fuller for longer, keeping your bloodsugar steady, so you don't crash and crave sweets..

Thanks Elin .. I know .. the green trend line is moving downwards luckily and I am looking at that too.. I will just HAVE to stick with it, I know I will feel SOO good about myself, mentally and physically..

And I better be wearing my new Rock & Republic jeans I got this summer :D They are too tight now, but THEY will be my target!!

  • I want to be around 115/120 pounds.. Not to little for my height (5'3). I dream of this, but it doesn't feel possible (I am 137.9 now).
  • To have a skinny tummy (that is where most of my fat resides).
  • To have a skinny/normal face (I swear I have a pound of fat in my face :D )
  • To look good in photographs, to look at them and thinking 'Hey.. I look pretty darn good there!'.
  • To wear skinny jeans that doens't look like carrot jeans.
  • To have a waist!!
  • To show of some subtle abs!
  • To be toned.
  • Not having muffin top in jeans.
  • Not having a roll on my tummy when I sit.
  • Feeling awesome about achieving these goals!!

YAY Laika.. that is great!! I am struggling to be in the 130'ies.. was at 138.4 monday then over 3 pounds came on tuesday (waterweight) and today I am at 138.6 .. My goal for the next few weeks is to STAY in the 130'ies and hopefully get a few pounds off aswell..

I have read other posts about it now, and seen the FAQ .. I still don't understand it. Can a MOD explain the calculating reasons behind it? Is it ONLY the weight input that gives the trendline or is food log and activity log also a factor?

well.. I have only been dieting for a few weeks, but I won't say I am going to cut evrything out.. If I want to I still want to be able to have some crisps, pizza and so on, but just in very moderate ways and NOT often..

I think I am going to cut white bread out completely from my lunch.. I candef. feel a big difference from when I ate white bread (got tired and didn't want to work in the afternoon and went home to sleep) to now where I get a ton of fibre and protein, it def. keeps me going throughout the afternoon.

I do not like veggies either and I don't eat them.. I eat other healthy foods like oatmeal, lots of fiber and protein and gets different foods so I get my 1200 kcal  a day and still gets healthy foods..

Hi all

I would like to join too! My starting weight was 153.7, my current weight 140 and I would LOVE and DREAM to be 115 (maybe not possible..). I am 5'3 btw.

I was sp proud, monday I was down to 138.4 and the next day I was 3.3 pounds heavier .. argh, they are slowly coming off though ( It must be water weight).


untill now I have stayed strong and positive, trying to focus on long term goals, but it is hard not to want fast results..

Hi Chris!

Welcome to the forum (I have only been here for under 2 weeks myself).

As everyone is saying, do not go for the surgery. Think of it this way, how big an accomplishment it will be to change your habits for good and getting down to a healthy weight! How empowering that must feel! YOU are in control!

I am sure you have done proper research on the surgery, but the little I know of is that you will properply loose weight so fast you skin will become in an awfull state. Getting skin removed will leave bigs scars all over your body, you may be slim, but your skin will not look good at all.

The trick is to remember that this is NOT easy .. by far. If you fall off the wagon and start eating unhealthy, it is your JOB to get back on and to think nothing of it as a bump in the road. What is done is done.

I am sure you will be successfull and keep us updated on how you are doing!
