| Way to go nightc1! Yeah I think I'm gonna scan a picture of my mom and I on the beach in july of last year...it shows me looking pretty darn large! I just don't have it on my computer because it wasn't taken with my digital camera. It is REALLY hard to increase your calorie intake because you just don't understand how that can really help. Even though it helped me, I know if I hit another plateau it will take a lot of convincing to get me to change my eating habits again! I will try to get a bigger picture on here to let you guys really see the difference, and I'll let you know! Good luck with hitting the 200 mark! I have 2.6 pounds to go till I'm there. I can't wait to see a 1 on the scale lol...even if it's 199.9. Bippy--thank you so much! I can't wait to "rock the strip!" |

| Thanks jag0666! Good luck with the plateau! Talilevy: I've been working on it since January, but I couldn't see it until this past month!! My workout routine for abs is: 50 crunches (straight) 25 with my leg crossed going right (elbow to opposite knee) 25 with my leg crossed going left " " 50 laying on my side and crunching up sideways on each side. Every other day I take a 35 pound weight from the bench press and hold it in the right arm, and lean sideways as far as I can, then pull up till I go down on the left side. (kind of like a teeter-totter) its hard to explain! Also, I've recently started doing the KILLER ab workout for lower abs. I lay flat and hold on to the pole on a treadmill (you can use a friends ankles or anything like that, too) and I keep my legs straight and lift them all the way perpendicular to the floor, then go back down...and let me tell you, they are HARD. But that's when I noticed the definition coming in! |

| Hmmm I haven't tried to overlap my pictures...how would I go about doing that?! And I broke the plateau by increasing my calorie intake a bit and trying to change up my work out. I'm doing interval training now and sort of doing a little bit of everything on the machines. Then I do a lot of weight training and crunches and a little bit of pilates leg workouts. I plateaued for about 2 weeks and it was driving me INSANE. I was at a steady 210.6 ish and I couldn't get below it. Thank you so much all of you for the support!!!!!!!! And to think, the first picture is me 40 lbs lighter from when I started. I'm so sad I didn't get a picture before hand! |

| Definitely. If you are too strict, as soon as you start having one drink a day, allllllll your weight will come back on before you know it. I LOVE the taste. So it's not hard to think about waking up and drinking it for breakfast! | |||

| Ok I know everyone has said negative things about slim fast but I LOVE them. I eat one for breakfast and one for lunch every day (and I really could see myself doing this forever, even if just for breakfast). They taste good, and I don't get dizzy or anything. If you DO get light-headed, then you aren't giving yourself enough. I eat a banana with lunch or some other fruit, or a half a turkey sandwhich, or something to that effect. I eat all day long. Maybe that is why I haven't had a problem though. But I've lost 59 lbs so far. So it must be doing something right! Hope this helps. I don't think you need to follow "the slim-fast plan" but I think they help me. Plus I work 30-35 hours a week, have 15 hours of classes, and a million study hours/homework hours a week, and the gym every day, so I need some on-the-go fuel. |

how much have you lost?
59.2 lbs is this the 1st time or a repeat performance? repeat, but I'm doing it a completely different way, a lifestyle change. last time I was in high school and basically starved myself, then it allllllll came back on FAST. are you finished? Nope, Still have about 35 lbs to lose. how long did it take? I've been working out since January and eating healthy as well. how long have you kept it off? Well 4 months (the weight I've lost so far) but I'm still losing. what approach did you use? Well I count calories...but I also use slim fast. Not the diet they suggest per-se, but I drink one for breakfast ALWAYS and most of the time for lunch. I pretty much eat all day long haha. I make chicken with broccoli for dinner and have 48 pretzel sticks for a yummy snack. I eat LOTS of fruit, too. You guys should try frozen purple grapes....YUM. I totally didn't think they'd be good, but they really are! But make sure you freeze GOOD grapes, otherwise they taste sour. |

| I used to weigh 264 when I started here. Now I'm down to 204.8. I've been working out at the gym and using the treadmill for my cardio. I use the "Speed Interval" setting so the speed is constantly changing. Interval training is GREAT for your body. You can start at a low level and work your way up (that's what I did). Now I start at the interval level 5 which is 3.6 mph, 6% grade at the lowest pace, and goes up to an 8% grade, 4.3 mph at the highest....However, at the high intervals, I go 1 minute (4 or 5 times) at 6.0 mph (I increase the speed) to run. It works GREAT. I would try intervals, no harm in trying! |

| Last week: 216.8 This week: 212.6 Down 4.2 lbs from last week!! This is something that I told someone and they had never thought of it that way. When someone offers you something that you find extremely tasty, just keep in mind that once you chew it, it's gone. So what is the point in eating 30 cookies, if the taste left in your mouth can be left by one? You could eat 29 grapes, and one cookie, and still have the great taste in your mouth! I don't know, haha it helps me! |

| I LOVE the food network! Too bad my apartment complex has included cable so I get 5 ESPN's and HBO's but NO food network! I feel so deprived haha... Food network made me want to be a chef. I'm in business school right now and don't see the whole chef thing becoming a reality but BOY do I love to cook!!!! Emeril, Mario, ALTON, Paula....soooo many. |

| So ok...if I wanted to figure out the % I've lost I just take my starting weight (264) and divide it by 10? Making my 10% a loss of 26.4 lbs. I've lost 43.2 lbs so in another 9.6 lbs I will have lost 20% of my body weight? | |||
