Putting too much pressure on is not good it seems like too much of a task. I think once you know your approach leave it alone stop planning and instead incorporate one of the things in your plan each day. Also, think posotive and find the fun in it!

I can't thank all of you enough for all the advice, it's just what I needed to hear! A lot has changed for me, it feels like for the past few weeks I am on an emotional roller coaster but its a good thing. I decided to fix something I had knowingly been avoiding for a while, I needed to get to the root of the problem, why did I choose to remain this way, why did I sabotage myself each time I was headed the right way, why did I see this as something so hard to do, almost like I didn't want to let go of this way of life. And through a lot of tears and journaling I found out so much about myself and slowly but surely the way I look at this is changing. I am not depriving myself but instead setting limits, I am not avoiding fun activities but planning for them I am making being active something fun not boring or rigorous. I am taking a few minutes a day and visiting my happy place which is me with a cute outfit and heels feeling confident, happy, glowing and healthy! I have a long journey and I am going to ENJOY IT and I CAN MAKE IT! I love all your advice you all are great and we need to continue to support and help each other through this.

I gained 40 lbs in the last 1 1/2 year and I had been feeling so down and was looking for something to jump start my weight loss I even tried atkins but couldnt completely stay away from carbs. 1 week ago I started on Herba Life all i can say is I feel good and I have lost 3 lbs!! More than I had managed to loose in 1 week all this time. And yeah their shakes and you cant live off them the rest of your life but its a good start, if your like me you'll be watching your weight and what you eat all your life so there you go! :0) I will keep you updated

Thanks I really needed to hear some of the things yall said. I really need to take this one day at a time instead of thinking 30 LBS but that # is stuck in my head and I keep beating myself up for letting it get this bad. :0(

I always think of each day that I do good as a chance to get closer to goal anything else would just pull me away from where i want to be! And i dont want to spend years stuck where i am at or trying to get where i want to be.

All of those are symptoms of Hypothyroidism i was on medication for 2 years. You should really see a doctor so you can start taking medication. Your thyroid is very important.

Great posting! There is so many of us including me that want to give up! After a huge loss of 92 lbs I have been stuck for 4 months even gained 7 lbs but I AM NOT GIVING UP! I keep a picture in my wallet of what i looked like and a mental picture of what I want to look like, oh yeah and a pair of jeans i plan to fit into soon i keep them where I can see them everyday!

I know what you mean! Congrats on making it where you are! I hope one day I am there. I had 30 lbs to go but just gained 7 :0( lack of motivation! I have lost 92 lbs so far and I feel the same way "That it was just "me" now and I was just going to have to learn to accept myself this way, learn how to dress myself this way, learn how to still feel like a normal attractive women this way" I tell my self that sometimes and i have been so close to going out and buy a whole new wardrobe but I just dont feel comfortable sexy healthy at this weight I cant accept it, I want to get to goal!

Thank you everyone! Theres a few very things I hadnt thought about. 1st I think its very true I am scared to get to my goal, anything I loose after now would put me at my lowest weight ever and I have no idea what it feels like I guess for a while I was able to blame being unhappy on my weight, also about just mantaining for a while--great idea!! I think I am getting depressed because I dont loose any and I am starting to eat more and more, but instead I should be happy about all that I already lost and finally counseling would really help I have never sorted out my eating issues. I am going to print out this page and reference back to it often.....I am going to get my calorie intake to mantain and also find some counseling. Thank you again everyone!

I do the same but at the night, the only thing that worked for me was buying the stuff i craved but in a low fat or low calorie version for example, baked chips, veggie corndogs, pickles etc..

hi kaitlynmarie013, I am also sorry about your dad. The best advice I can give you is dont look at this like dieting look at it more like change of eating habits, also make a list of what motivates you. And use those things along your journey to keep you going. Also dont give up even if you do bad one day or at one meal just go forward dont let that turn into days or weeks of bad eating. :0) Hope this helps!

My motivation through this whole journey all 93 lbs of it has been outfits! The happiness I feel when I try on that outfit that didnt fit but now does. I love that feeling. Every so often I would go out and buy an outfit something I would love to wear but maybe wouldnt because of my weight and of course one size too small. Try it on every week until it fits perfect! Right now I am working on a dress I bought. It fits but its super tight so im getting there.

I used to think the same thing about myself. LOL what if i get super hot and then i want to do all kinds of crazy things like you mentioned But you have to think about a few things. You might not have loose skin you might just be very soft (flabby LOL) all around but no loose skin, you cant have surgery then! How much do you have to loose? Less than 100 lbs? My advice is save some money, excersise or hire a trainer drink all your water loose weight the right way (not too fast) have your veggies and fruits and use lotions on your body to help it get firm! :0)

To loose 25 lbs! To keep loosing! And to become more active! I keep my gym clothes in my car so I dont have an excuse I buy really cute clothes one size smaller and it keeps me looking forward to being able to wear it soon and I dont like the feeling of super tight clothes so I keep trying to fit into it, I think clothes and sizes are my biggest motivations!

Not buying new clothes!! I have a pair of jeans and a dress I bought one size too small I keep those where I can see them and until I fit those I refuse to buy anymore new clothes. It really works for me because I feel ugly with my baggy non-fitted clothes so I feel motivated each day to get closer to fitting into the next size.
