| He wouldn't mind losing a few lbs as well... so just "health-itizing" our meals (i.e. light margarine vs. butter, veggies vs. cheese bread, ect.) Wouldn't be a bad idea at all. | |||

| That is a great idea! Thank you... I too am a fast food junkie along with anything cheesy or anything along those lines. Pretty much anything bad for me or anything that will sabatauge (sp?) my diet is what I get my hands on. I do just need to learn portion control and minimize my intake, maybe getting the cheeseburger, cutting it in half and getting the side salad instead of fries? |

| I completely argree with the fact that the overall goal in eating healthier and excercise should ultimately be for your health. I think about that all the time, when I get down and miss the cheeseburgers and junk food and think about how the weight isn't coming off as fast as I'd like, that regardless of what I'm seeing, the effects on my body that I cannot see should mean just as much! It tends to help me when I'm down! :) And I would like to thank lonestar, that website had a TON of great information! :) Thanks so much! |

| I don't know what it is! haha. I haven't lost much weight I don't think, and my clothes really don't fit that much better.. but I feel just overall, better. It's amazing what small, healthy changes can do to your mind and body! :) | |||

| Thank you all for your amazing advice! I do want to buy sweating to the oldies, my mom has it on VHS, but lucky for me it just came out on DVD!! hahaha I will check out the workout section at Wal Mart, I didn't think they'd actually have something like that! You never know with them! I sent you an add on myspace! :o) As for free days, I can see how they wouldn't work for everyone. But I like to think that I can stick to it, and at least for the beginning of my diet, it will make things alittle bit easier. :o) I totally understand where your coming from though! It's a great way to too at it! :o) |

| Oh lord! Everyone has been there before... Don't even worry about it. Striving for perfect will lead to failure, we are humans, and DO make mistakes. Just look at it like "Well now that that's out of my system, tomarrow will be a MUCH better day!" Beating yourself up over a little slip up is pointless! :o) I hope you feel better about it! Just remember.. One day at a time! |

| Thank you all very much for you advice! It all makes so much sense!!! As for the tapes, I do love the encouragement of all the instructors on all of the tapes, and the convieniance of just popping it into the dvd player and getting a thorough start to finish kind of workout! It works well for the apartment dwelling person! :) My mom likes to use another guy that makes the Easy Toning video... he looks a bit like Chuck Norris, but is quite amusing. lol As for stair climbing, it is quite noisy and I wouldn't want to risk my neighbors getting annoyed. It's never fun to deal with! lol. But greatly appreciate your input!! :) I think that I will look into investing in a step thing. That seems as though it would work well in my case. Running in place isn't too loud actually. I've just recently found that dancing to some of my favorite tunes has also helped out lots!!! :o) I appreciate your advice so much! Thank you! |

| Thank you for the feedback! I knew it wasn't my imagination! Just hearing that makes me feel ALOT better about dieting and kinda puts me in the serious "do it right or not at all" attitude that I need. Thanks! I think I have cut back alittle and started excercising more. And it feels gggggrrrreeeatt so far! :o) |

| I really really like it. I bought the lipton Green Tea variety pack, and it has lots of different flavors. I am drinking the mint right now and it's amazing! :o) | |||

| Alright thank you! I should invest in a treadmill, but the boyfriend would probably laugh if I asked. He's the kinda guy.. why would you pay for something to walk on if you can walk where ever you want if you step out the door.. lol It'll be tough convincing him! I'll look into it though! THanks for all the help you all! | |||

| What sort of excercises do you guys do? I was thinking of purchasing... and I know this sounds ridiculous but *gasp* Richard Simmons. Lol. I know he's alittle outthere, but damn does he have energy! And my mom lost alot of weight years ago by doing tapes (or dvds, now) such as these. I don't have access to any sort of equipment or anything, so what do you guys suggest? |

| That's awesome! I live on the top floor of an apartment building so I just try to run in place for 5 minutes just to get the blood moving, then I stretch, do leg work outs and abs.. I don't like push-ups so need to invest in some weights or something for my arms. Any other excersize tips would be great?! For an apartment building. I'm up nights as my boyfriend works graveyards, and I don't like to go out walking at night without someone else. So thats kinda out of the picture as well. Yea.. I don't know how the Saturday "free" day is going to work out. I just started decided on that a few days ago. I'm hoping it will allow me to just kinda eat some of the foods I like as a "reward" for my hard work all week, and give me something to look forward to at the end of the week. I don't know that I could do a detox thing, we didn't eat ALOT of fast food and stuff to begin with, just cooked some unhealthy meals, such as chicken alfredo with heavy creams and cheeses, cooked with butter and all that. Just making small changes in my eating/cooking habits has transformed our eating into a much healthier thing. |

| Wow that makes sense... I mean, I have tried to diet in the past and it hasn't lasted much long than a couple weeks. I think it's due to the fact that I go from eating anything and everything (haha quite literally) to not much of anything. Thus setting myself up for failure, I'd imagine. I eventually got so sick of it and tagged it as a "Way to ridiculously hard to do" file and shoved it to the back of my priority list. I take comfort in knowing that it can be done with a slow start in the excercise department. :) |
