Just checking back in to see how others are doing.  I just got back from vacation so I have no idea how I am doing.  Although I was having success just before and starting Sunday I am getting back on track.  I feel great about the newest eating and exercising plan that I have been doing.  Just eating well and cutting back on snacking.  And we have the 10 minute trainer cds and they are very hard and challenging.  I think switching up the exercising has really helped.

Hopefully you are doing well and I will hear from you soon.

Welcome Elenakig and  Agaac!

Sorry I have been away so long.  It has been my most stressful year!  Anything that could go wrong pretty much has!  I am hoping that this are going to make a U-turn.  I think that the stress has added 20 lbs and has caused my body to hold onto it although that I am eating pretty good and was exercising an a steady basis.

Things have been crazy busy with summer and all the fun activities that it brings.  I am still eating pretty well, but haven't been working out as much as I should.  After getting threw the next two weeks, I am hoping to get back on a schedule.

How is everyone else doing?  Hopefully you are healthy and happy... enjoying your summers.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED!  I have been working out since April.  Eating right.  And although it looks better because it's firmer... my clothes are still fitting the same and I haven't lost anything.

I am working out on the Elliptical 4 days a week at a high intensity level (13).  Weight lifting 2 days a week (swating 140, rowing 85. inner and outer thighs 80, sit ups reps 60 etc...).  And I am doing whatever I can to be active at home... not to mention I have an active job that I don't sit at.

Food I keep it around 1200.  I eat lean meats and healthy side choices.  My one only bad vice is Diet Orange Pop.

I can't even wear my clothes from last summer.  My rear end is much bigger and now that I have started lifting... I think it is even bigger!  I don't know what to do.  Anyone have any advice for me.

Well, I definately see a physical difference which should be good enough.... but I can't help being frustrated that the scale isn't budging still!  I don't know how much I weight today but I had salty popcorn last night so I decided not to weigh today.

I upped my exercise again.  And only missed working out on Friday.  So I am proud of myself for that!  I am hanging in there and will continue doing this plan of attack.  Eventually it will have to pay off!  Right?!

How have you all been?  I missed talking with you!  Hope you are having a great summer... and the best part is that it has just begun!

I have been working out like a mad woman.  Eating really well.  But not much success.  Although I do think I look more toned but it's hard to tell since the scale is about the same and my clothes seem to be fitting about the same.  I have upped the protein and decreased the carbs to see if that might some difference.  I just did it Monday so it's too soon to tell.  But regardless... I feel great and I am proud of my hard work so I am going to stick with this routine.  I have been doing Elliptical 3 to 5 days a week and weights 2.  Plus today I pulled weeds, did the Elliptical and went on a walk with the kids.  I played Volleyball last Saturday.  Just trying to do anything to get moving.

Will post next week to tell you if the new eating plan makes a difference.

We have been eating right.  Exercising but no matter what I do the scale is not moving.  This week I am going to try to eat more protein and step up the intensity of my workouts.  I am trying not to focus so much on what the scale says but it's not as easy as it sounds.

How is everyone else doing?  Any tips that you have found that helps?

We can do this!  It just takes one step at a time and before we know it will we have achieved our goals.  Hopefully before swimsuit season hits!

Hi everyone!  It is great hearing from everyone again.

I am embarrassed to state where I am at.  I have gained 20 lbs. since September.  Although I got back on track three or four weeks ago... it hasn't made any difference with the scale.  We have been working out hard at the gym and have been eating healthy meals.  I really think my metabolism has been shot since September.  But I will not give up.  I can do this.  With the exercise and eating healthy, the weight will come off or at least it will look more toned!

We can do this!  I am so excited to see the support group coming back together, just in time to get back on track for summer.

Yes, this winter was harder for me than last.  Last winter I was at goal.  This winter I am up twenty pounds.  I do think it was related to stress.  This has been the second most stressful year of my life (2008) and I hope one that I will never have to live through again.  Although I am not sure that 2009 is looking much better!

Although I am happy to report that I finally made a Doctors appointment for some long untreated health issues and the appointment is finally this week.  Although nothing is ever simple... it will probably take several appointments and test results to figure out what needs to be done.  But I am hopeful.

One a plus note, I have been doing great this week and so far it has been easy.  Which is very helpful for getting started back on track.

I am pretty much over my cold.  Although I still get a sore throat usually just before bed and wake up with it.  I think my body is more ran down late at night.

I do feel well enough today to start my eating and working out program again.  I had a good day and feel confident that I will do well.  I, too, am just about to start my TOM so the scale will spike up sometime this week.  So I will have to try hard to not focus on the scale so much this week.

I definately need to get this added weight off before Spring or I won't be able to wear my summer clothes and I do not have money to be buying new ones!!!  Luckly we just had a new snow storm today to push Spring further away... I can still stay safely in my oversized sweatshirts for now.

Yes, I was hungry on the Flex points as well.  You get all the food you need to feel satisfied with the Core plan and the list is really big to pick off of.  You just use 35 points a week for any of the special events (like Birthdays, going out to a business lunch, pizza night, etc...).  I really liked this plan.  It's just like the YOU diet except that with the YOU I don't have to pay for it.  I just use CC for my support system.  I love it here.  I joined in 2006.

Weight Watchers Core Plan is pretty much the same as the YOU on a Diet: A guide to Waist Management.  I love them both.  The big difference for me between them is WW cost money for the meetings and The YOU I used CC to get the same thing.  They both work great if you stick with it because they make you feel full, satisfied, and don't have cravings for all the carbs and sugars.

My down fall is when I get to goal and start easing off of them I start adding foods back that start my cycle of cravings all over again... then I gain the weight, then I go back on it and lose the weight, then start adding them back and start my cycle all over again.  You would think one would learn wouldn't you?!  They both have taught me good habits that I have stuck with, it makes the difference of gaining some of the weight back vs. if I would have gained all the weight back.

I don't like the Flex point plan.  It takes more points to eat healthy foods like chicken than skinny cow so I would choice the bad foods.  Sure I was still losing but I was eating unhealthy and not practicing good food choices.

I was doing awesome.  I was doing athe Elliptical 5 nights a week plus exercises (lunges, push-ups, jumping rope, etc) for two weeks.  But the scale didn't budge.  Then I caught a terrible cold a couple of days ago... and I unfortunately started an eating spree of junk.  I am afraid to get on the scale!  I still feel terrible from my cold and have no motivation to get things back on track.

I totally know what your saying.  Even my trainer measured me and came up with almost the same measurements even though I am down weight and pant sizes.  She measured me several times and no matter what couldn't figure it out.  As long as you look smaller who cares what the tape measure says, that's my philosophy!

Protein is very important as Elrooto stated.  Beans are an excellent source as well... they have great nutritional value as well.  I eat Turkey chili with beans at least three times a week.  It also really fills you up.  I make homemade but Nally's is great and Wendy's if you are eating out is great as well.

Plus low fat or ff cheeses.  Any lean meat (chicken is my favorite but like stated above Fish is the best for you).  If you eat Peanut Butter Adam's Natural if the way to go.  NO added sugar... just peanuts and salt.

But your doing great...keep up the good work.

I love my Elliptical.  I am not an outdoorsy type of person so I like how I can get a good workout without battling the elements.  My favorite aspect, is picking my favorite shows to workout to and the time flies by!

I would agree.  As moms, we are constantly moving trying to stay on top of the housework, taking care of everyone, grocery shopping (which leads to loading them, unloading them... with many trips to the car, and putting them all away), many trips to the laundryroom... I could go on and on, is definately light activity.

I have been eating well, and exercising on the Elliptical four or five days a week plus I do some weight resistant exercises.  Last week my muscles hurt so bad just from squats, lunges, and push ups... who needs to go to the gym for a workout!

I am proud of myself but haven't had as much success with the scale.  It is moving slowly.  But I know I it will go down and I will continue my routine.

How is everyone else doing?  Have you found anything that is really working?  I am looking for new recipes using ground turkey if anyone has come across any and would want to share that would be great.

Hi all.  I have been back on the exercise full force this week.  I walk/ran, did the Elliptical, and other weight lifting routines.  I have been doing well with the eating, except for today :(

As of this morning, I am down 4 lbs.  I just need to keep this up.  Iknow it will pay off.

I am so happy to see that you guys are having success, too!  Yeah us!!  It took me a long time to get back on track.  Finally, it has fallen in place.  I am glad to be back.

Ok, I feel silly.  My computer was showing a new post from Trizxletrixy... but now that I welcomed her, I don't see the post anymore.  Anyway, maybe she will see it anyway and join us.

Lisseth83- I am so sorry about your sinus infection!  They are miserable!!!!  I don't know much about the surgery but if it helps you it will be soooo worth it.

I am feeling so much better but still not up to 100%.  Eating is still difficult.  Everything seems to upset my stomach, but at least the achiness has stopped.  That made it impossible to sleep, hurt my bones to lay down.

I am going to be fabulous by Monday and going to get back on my exercise plan.  I am not going to give up now that I finally got back on track.

I hope that everyone will come back and join us! I miss them.  Plus anyone is welcome to join on in!!  I think we are a great group of women.

Welcome Trizxletrixy!

We are exactly the same height and weight.  That is where I would like to be, too.  I have been down to 135 this year but haven't made it past there.  This will be the year!

I don't usually get sick.  Everyone in my house usually gets it and I take care of everyone but it usually misses me.  This time I am the only one who got it (so far...knock on wood).

I am mad because I had finally got on eating healthy and exercising.  Now I am sure that this is going to mess up my metabolism!  I haven't been able to keep anything down since Thursday night.  Everything is ache on my body, even my eyeballs!  I can't sleep because of it!  I am hoping that it is just a 24 hour thing and I am getting to the end of it!

I am down 12 pounds since the 16th but some of this will come back after the flu.  I have been using the Elliptical.  I also order a new workout video (from the infomercial with Dancing with the Stars judges on it but I just got it so I haven't had a chance to use it.  I am trying to pay less attention to the scale and I am trying to focus more on firming and toning my body!  Thought it would be a good goal with Spring and Summer just around the corner.

I was happy to see the Miss America contest this year. I only saw it when it was down to 16 ladies.  They were all very athletic in build.   I have never seen one, that set such a good role model for young girls!

I am lonely.  I never am home alone with a husband and two kids... so being home sick really stinks.  No one to hang out with!  And you can't have a friend come over because nobody in there right mind would want to be around me!

Have a good day and a fantastic weekend!

Hey, I'm 41... don't leave us!  We miss you!

I am down 8 pounds now but have the flu today so I can't keep anything down.  I am really scared this will mess up my metabolism just when things are starting to go my way... any advice?

I'm down 7 pounds since last Friday (but that was the 1st day of TOM, so 5 lbs. of that is for sure water weight.)  It really helped reading over my old notes and write out a plan for the week.  I'm just glad that the scale is going in the right direction!  Tomorrow night will be harder since we are going to a surprise party.

Ok, I am back!  I sat down on Sunday night and re-read all my cheat sheets on the YOU diet.  Then I mapped out my strategy for the week.  I pin-pointed what was getting in my way for success, and wrote out a strategy.  So far things are going pretty well.  I feel like I am going in the right direction.  My husband is hating it but I pretty much cleared the house of "temptation".  He just got back from a trip to the cupboard empty handed.  I have been making healthy family meals.  Hopefully all of us, minus the youngest loses some weight in the new year!  We are going to start family walks just as soon as the weather warms up just a bit.  Anyway, I hope to talk to you soon.

How is everyone else doing?  How is your New Year treating you?  Found any new strategies or products that have aided in your weight loss journey?

I'm sorry, I don't know any sinus infection cures, beside antibiotics.  Maybe you need to go back and get a strong prescription.

I have been out of control with my eating.  And it shows.  I am wearing my pair of jeans that I had to wear a belt to keep them up but I no longer need the belt Cry

I don't know what my problem is.  Things have been more stressful than I have ever had it before in my life... but with my history I can't blame the weight gain on this.  You should see my weight gain graph, it looks hideous!!!!  I get very frustrated with myself.  I feel terrible with the weight gain.  I am tired all the time.  If I have any spare time, I just want to crawl into bed and bury myself under the covers and stay there.Hoping some of this is due to TOM, so I know that it will end soon.   I am so stressed that I don't even enjoying the things I use to enjoy, such as reading, scrapbooking, anything that takes thought.  I am so glad I have you guys to express myself to.  I will check back soon.

I would definately like to get started again.  As usual, I am going to make it my New Year's resolution.  I am going to start the exercise today.  Then after my husband's birthday on Dec. 31st and our anniversary on Jan. 1st... I am going to start the eating right portion of my plan.  That way it gives a couple days to boost my metabolism and to rid the house of the leftovers of all the holiday activities.

So happy losing in the New Year!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!  I am so sorry that I haven't been on here in so long.  I have been going through a lot here some I will mention some I will not.

Part of my problem, the economy is down so in order to survive... we have been pulling in lots of extra hours in order to cut down on payroll expenses.  We are in the middle of a legal procedure against a Visa equipment company that lied to us and had hidden charges in the fine print that makes us pay $8,000 dollars in four years for equipment that only cost 600.  This has been taking up our free time.  Plus I have been trying to apply for some Part-time teaching positions but so far they were filled internally.

We had to fire a loved niece for reasons that I can't disclose, which was a very upsetting thing for us personally and for the family as a whole.  And then I have been going through some personal issues in a marriage that had been beyond fabulous for 21 years and has never been through any type of struggle... some of this could have been due to how we are trying so hard to make it with the business we own and operate together and how tight money is.  But we took this negative and have been using it to strengthen our marriage by investing more positive time together.  It has really been paying off.

Needless to say with all the time that all the above has been requiring, it has taken the time that I need to focus on me so I have fallen in my weight loss quest.  I had gotten up to 147.  I have finally started to work on this so I am back down to 145.  I would like to lose another 5 before my Anniversary so I can wear a fun flirty outfit!!!  In order to achieve this goal, I have committed myself to a daily workout on the Elliptical or Wii fit.

How is everyone else doing?  I was really hoping that maybe after everyone else's Christmas that we could all reconnect for the New Year and get ourselves back on track!  I miss everyone!  Take care and Happy Holidays!!!
