I am 35 years old and have been trying to reach a healthy BMI for the last few years. I reach somewhere close, to 25 (BMI )and then somehow loose track, stop exercising and stop caring about weight loss and what i eat and end up being overweight(this time i am obese as per BMI) again. I hope this time i do make it with support from cc members and my green team in particlular :)

Hey Peggy,

  You are most welcome to join the group,

The idea is to loose wt in small steps and not to get discouraged in the process. So with your 240 lbs, even if you loose 1 lb a week, 4 lbs a month that means 48 lbs a year! SO that means by end of the year you would be less than 200 lbs even if you loose in small steps, So all the best

I had gone on vacation and am just back with a good gain . after all i just ate and due to the cold weather hardly moved at all.

Now back to work and shedding the extra wt and more

    Ok sfcgijill. We start the challenge from this week.
    We can post our weight on Wednesday's. Target is to loose 1 lb a week.
    I have been trying to loose weight since some time, but once i loose a few pounds , i gain back some. So i have decided to keep easier goals, which should be reachable. Earlier i used to try loosing 2 lbs a week.

    Current weight : 158 lbs

    People here are accepting that you have a problem and that too a problem with weight. The problem is not that you are fat , the problem is that you are on the thinner side and want to be convinced that you are fat. What people are trying to tell you is that don't destroy your body for the sake of your peers who may also be doing the same thing.
    Size 5 even for a teenager is not fat. Try to make your body understand that there is more to life than obsession with size zero. Size zero is not meant for humans. Everyone may have their own opinion of what fat is but for humans there is a broad guideline as to what classifies as fat and thin. You cannot decide to ignore that just to look as you think is thin.
    If you loose your health due to this obsession with weight, you will not enjoy life even if you are size 0 or size -1 if that is being defined by your peers and like
