Yes, PLEASE do not use toothpaste!  A topical product w/salicylic acid works best before bed time. Also, use an exfoliant 2x's/week to help the cell turnover rate.  Be careful not to over cleanse the face, which can lead to dryness & further break out the skin. Twice a day should be sufficient.

Breakouts around the mouth tend to be associated with the digestive system....so that makes sense if you are in recovery. I can break out around the mouth/chin area if I up my carbs too much, too fast. But don't let this hinder your recovery--you are doing a great thing!

While tea tree oil can be very beneficial to the skin, I would not recommend dabbing it directly on the skin. Doing so may cause redness & irritation.

Trail mix & peanut butter!

I can eat tons of both of them & thankfully now purchase Naturally More peanut butter so I can allow it back into my house
