Fitness lower abs... Feb 08 2007

I have found a few basic exercises that seem to work great for me..

1. flutter kicks-lay flat, kick your feet up and down a few inches above the floor without touching the floor.

2 Bycicle kicks- lay flat with feet above the floor and alternately bring your knee to your chest while you lift your torso a little above the ground.

3. Take an exercise band and fix it to a bar. Put tension on it and rotate side to side slowly without bending your knees or turning your hips.

4. make a bridge. assume a position similar to a push up but your forearms are flat on the floor. keep your back straight and tighten you abs. This one will get you but hold it as long as you can.

I have found these really help me feel like I have given my abs a good workout. I injured my back a while ago so it isn't strong enough for me to go crunch crazy.

I myself had been roped in on the diet pill fads that are supposed to help with weight loss. I have found them to be a waste of money. What works for me is portion control and going to the gym with a buddy. What good is being skinny if you cause yourself digestive disorders or worse. Who knows what the long term effects are.
