"You can probably up your calories a bit too - you can't build very much muscle with a deficit"

I didnt know this, is there still a chance I can lose my belly fat without a deficit?

cutting back on cardio? dont tempt me! haha I hate cardio but the weight training isnt so bad. I usually change things up but Ive only been doing this routine for a month.

http://www.powerblock.com/ thats the site I use for my weight training. On the bottom right there is a video of different workouts. I dont do them all but I do most of the arms, abs/back, and legs. I really like it because its just weights and a bench and has easy to follow videos. I use anywhere from 5lbs to 15lbs depending on the workout.

Here is my week.

Monday work 6am-1pm

work out 130-230, 20 minutes on elliptical (HIIT) and 20 minutes Abs, free weights

3-5 nap ( I have narclolepsy) nap brings me to 8 hours of sleep for the day

My nights are basically dinner cleaning up and resting with my book or tv or laptop

Tuesday day off

10am wake up (again narcolepsy) get ready

12am lunch

1-2 cleaning and whatever around the house

2pm 30 minutes cardio on the elliptical and 20 minutes free weights, legs

3pm shower

430 go over homework with kids and get them set in motion for chores

530-7 (edited to add)drop daughter off at gymnastics and go grocery shopping

730 dinner

Wednesday Repeat monday instead of 20 minutes of abs I do 20 minutes of shoulders

Thursday Repeat Tuesday only 20 minutes of abs not 20 minutes legs and minus gymnastics/grocery shopping

Friday wake up at 10 get ready

lunch 12

1 clean

2 work out no cardio but 30 minutes free weight on my arms.

3pm leave to pick up son from school

4-10pm work

Saturday 7am-3pm work This is my day off to be with my family

Sunday 9am-3pm work Another day off to spend with my family, there is never enough family time!

So I just logged all my food for the day and I am at 1278 (122 less than I thought) and I moved my activity level to moderate. It says I have worked off 2279 calories so far today. This tells me yes I need to eat more. I worked out for about 450 calories today does that mean I need to add 450 calories to my already planned 1400 calories? doesnt that make the workout pointless? I am trying to work off calories not cancel them out.. does that make sense.... Even after 3 years of this lifestyle change I still need help!

are you serious? Should I really eat that much? I was eating 1400 while not working out for a while and I gained weight.... I just dont know what to do anymore.

the muffin top look is exactly what im worried about, I have tried many style of jeans and I have yet to find one that fits right. Thanks ladys!

I always eat more than 1200 calories. I just fail to log the last couple hundred. lasst night I had a sweet potato and didnt get online so didnt log it. I also have coffee creamer calories I dont log. Allthough I do know I NEED to eat more earlier in the day. But it is hard for me to eat more than a special k bar for breakfast. My rule is to eat no less than 1400 calories a day. I dont think that my yoga burns many calories so I dont add any more.

I started drinking 64 oz of water before any other beverage when I first started my lifestyle change. I did go on and off so I guess you can say that i did just start drinking that much water again, after a while without.

I am down to 124 so only 9 more pounds to go, hopefully next Fri when I weigh in I will be 123!!! Good luck to you all.

Im right there with you. I have been there for a year or more. My schedule has changed and its harder for me to eat right and exercise daily. I just keep telling myself only 9 more pounds, that gets me through, keeps me from eating more and motivates me to exercise. I am hoping to take that 9 pounds off before the new year.

Thank you foreverme, you look great by the way congrats!!!! I have been trying to have better self esteem its just so hard. I am getting better at it. Your right though I look so much better and I cant nit pick the things that I wish were different. I did awesome and that is enough for me! Thanks again and again congrats!

thanks for the responses but I looked at the pictures after I posted and those pictures do not show the skin Im talking about except the back lines. I have also had two c-sections and am done having children. I have been losing weight for over two years with being at my goal weight for nearly a year and my skin still has not tightened up. I have a million scars on my body already because I have been through many surgeries in the past. I notice the skin the most when I am working out in a pair of shorts and a sports bra and am doing leg circles on all fours, it hangs down like a big saggy butt! Maybe I should start wearing full shirts when I work out so I cant see it.

I took a pregnancy test, it showed negative, but  still no period. My husband thinks I may have missed one in July, but I dont think so.

A tubal ligation means there is only 1.43% chance I could be pregnant, and my diet and eating and exercising hasn't changed.

Thank you all. I am over my rant, I was on my period and a little grumpy. I have been bouncing back and forth from about 120-125 for months and months. I do cardio every day and pilates on the days Im not doing cardio. The pilates have helped a ton to tighten and pull everything in, but I fell hard on my tailbone two weeks ago and I haven't been able to do the pilates. I am going to try again today though. But I have a pocket pc (pda, whatever you want to call it) and I eat every three hours about 300 calories a meal and I record EVERY thing in my pda. I also record my work and workouts for calories out. I am doing everything right and I know that this is probably just where my body is supposed to be. I am going to (as soon as my butt heals) continue with the pilates to tighten and tone. But thanks for listening to me and thanks for the compliments and thanks for letting me realize that 120-125 is where I should be.

Oh one more thing, I am only 5'2" and when you are 5'2" every pound shows. I know some of you other shorties out there can back me up on that one!

I had a breast reduction 6 years ago. I went from a 38/40 F to a 36/38 large C and now I am a 34c/36B I however had my reduction before my weight loss so I lost a bit more breast when losing the weight. I would never ever go back and change what I did, it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. It is a bit painful and uncomfortable for a while, but isnt any surgery? I do have before and after photos, if you would like to see them let me know I will pm them to you. Best of luck!and feel free to ask anything.

It would be for dinner, and the salad consists of the tortilla, iceberg lettuce, black olives, tomato, cucumber, red peppers, shrimp,  and low calorie ranch. I work at a restaurant and I have limited choices for dinner this is my favorite thing to eat but its hard to say no to the tortilla. I make the salad myself, but the cooks do the tortilla and the shrimp. I have been eating it without the tortilla and I will probably continue to do so, but I was just wondering. Thanks for the answers!

I was losing on 1200 calories a day but a week or two ago I stopped and started gaining again from 118-125 back down to 120 or so.I havnt been exercising as much as I should, I just started a new job and got a new puppy and time is short. I am a waitress though so I am on my feet running my ass off for 4 nights a week. I also take the pup on a 15 minute walk almost everyday. He cant go any longer than that right now, I cant wait until he can. I am 5'2" by the way.

 

I better also say that i eat 1200 calories a day when I am doing nothing else. When I work or workout I adjust my calories as needed. I didnt mean to sound like I was starving myself. I am surely not.
