Publix sells a "Snack Pack". It looks like sushi but without the fish (gross!). There are three types, carrot, cucumber and avacado wrapped in rice then seaweed. I like 'em. Is there a way to make rolls without that bamboo towel thing? |

| Ooh kettle corn! They had a twoforone sale so now I have like 6 boxes of the 100 cal packs. I bought some cheese and squirt it on my plain rice cakes. Last night I hasd a "finger full" of Nutella (AMAZING!) and that satisfied my chocolate fix. | |||

| Get a garden salad with the dressing on the side. Just dip your fork in the dressing and then the salad. You still get the taste without drenching the lettuce. Others here say fish is good (yick!) or grilled chicken. I'd just go with something that isn't dripping with grease. Or order what you want but leave half on the plate (Then you can have it again later!) Besides, it's only one day, get back on track tomorrow. | |||

| I hate fruit. I eat applesause (and sometime apples) and pineapple. I don't like berries, except rasp and black, but they suck in the stores. Is there a way to "fake" your fruit intake? (I was the strange kid who are her veggies and not her fruits) | |||

| I don't want to cut out all the foods I like, that's setting myself up for failure. If I don't allow myself, let's say Taco Bell, once every two weeks or so, when I do eat it I'll over eat. I know I should eat less, but it tastes so good! I just need to get used to my new diet. | |||

| I eat rice cakes dipped in cucumber dill hummus with carrots and celery for lunch and applesause really whenever I want to. Sometimes my cal-count isn't high enough so I let myself splurge on cherry pop tarts. | |||

| I couldn't cook either (once I messed up Jello, yes, Jello). Now I cook for me & my boyfriend. Bake instead of fry, if you aren't sure it's cooked all the way, cut it in half. Pork should be white like chicken, and chicken should run clear, not pink when it juices. George forman grills are great too, but the stuff you are grilling can't be that thick. I make these potatoes that are good, melt a tiny bit of butter in the micro and pour it into a tupperware with the cut up bite sized potato chunks and add a dash of parmesean and some pepper and a pinch of sage. Put the lid on and shake it up until all the taters are coated. 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Just remember 35 and you got the temp and the time. Poke it to be sure with a fork or something (NOT your fingers) it should be firm but not like a rock. Experimenting is fun too. Usually if it smells good, it tastes good. Now I love to cook! | |||

| I know that this won't help, but... My mom had her thyroid killed and had to take medicine. She had such trouble with her weight she had the stomach surgery to rubber-band it off. Now she doesn't even take the medicine anymore, it pretty much cleared up her thyroid issues. This might though... I know I can't remember to take my birth control every day without setting an alarm on my cell phone. |

| I'm getting married as well. That's why I started on counting calories. I've had rtouble finding clothes that fit right in the past and I <i>am</i> going to have my dream dress for my wedding. When I feel like cheating, I just take a look at my ring and it brings me back to why I finally decided to lose weight. Just stick it out, if it worked in the past, it will work in the future. | |||
