Hey. Similar boat. I'm just in the healthy range for my height (5' 9.5"). I lost 18 pounds so far on this site and am now at 166.. which is way down from what I was a couple years ago. I went past 210.. I don't know exactly what my highest weight was because I stopped looking at the scale. ANYWAY... *laughs* I don't really care what the BMI says, I don't feel or look IMO like I'm at my ideal weight and I do want to hit at least 155 if not 150. And of course.. the weight has stopped coming off lately and most things I've tried haven't done anything (shaking up the exercise routine, eating less, eating more, etc).

But yeah. I totally get what you're saying about it being inevitable about passing the highest 'healthy weight' again some day if you can't lose it now. Being that I just got to a healthy weight and can't seem to get any farther, I'm worried about that.

*laughs* Alcohol and chocolate are too good to give up completely. I would say just limit it some. I always kill my chocolate cravings with chocolate. *laughs again* It's the only thing that works. I just make sure not to eat a whole bar. Someone on here once gave advice that its easier to hold back when you think that if you eat it all, there won't be any left. It works for me.

I need a restart. My guy is going away to school and last night was our last time with each other until Christmas. First we ate dinner together and then we went to DQ and then we ate another dinner way later in the night.  All meals were ridiculous amounts of calories. I actually was near to legitimately gaining a pound in a day. Ehh. Restart please.

:Z I need a restart as of Aug 11.  Unfortunately, my mother makes the best coffee cake in the world, and one was discovered frozen yesterday night from the last time she made them. My brother, my guy, and I divided up the thing. It wasn't huge but it was soaked with calories and it was a cheat. It also was delicious... so I don't feel too bad. But yeah.

Hey. I was checking in today. I didn't realize I haven't checked in since the 31st. Can I be put back up? My last restart was July 16. I'm still clean from then. Thanks.

I'm cracking down on myself again... not in a mean way but in a determined way. I've been doing really horrible this whole week, and I need a restart as of today (monday the 16th).  I've been emotionally eating all this past week, and it got its very worse when I went to the amusement park. It was ridiculous. Eating like I did does not make things better and in fact carries the whole mess even farther than it ever was. *exhales* So yeah. I need a restart, and this time I intend to make it last.

I like my nose. It's like my grandfather's and I love him too.

I also like my feet, my enthusiasm, and my freedom to dance.

Hey! Still clean and feeling great. I decided to do a safe detox thing for a week. Nothing extreme.. no yucky shakes or anything. I've been feeling wonderful through the whole thing! If anyone's interested, this is the website.

Tully, I've done the 8 min abs workout before, but lately whenever I do ab workouts, its just whatever I remember from what I was told to do at track and field practice. Cross crunches, side crunches and leg lifts and stuff like that. I'll check out that video you mentioned.

Still clean. Keep going everyone!

Hey, I need a restart dated for today. Drank beer last night.. and it wasn't light. Blargh.

Tully - I'll so do that abs thing with you. I would love to tone my midsection! What do you do during those 15 minutes?

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I stayed clean (it wasn't hard, dorm food is disgusting even on holidays). I had my weigh in and I was down a couple pounds! It felt good.

Hope this week goes well for you all!

I gain 6 pounds two days before, and it stays sometimes all the way through my period.

I heard something like that too. I think it's that you do burn calories thinking about exercising but not many. It's something weird like that. I think the thing I read about it involved people flexing their thumbs. One group actually did it, one group didn't do anything, and one group thought about the action of flexing their thumb. The thinkers burnt more than the do-nothings. Something like that. It was a long time ago.

But no. I don't think that thinking about exercising is going to tone or trim anything. :)

I get the same thing.. night time munchies are the worst. I like to fill up on decaf crazy flavored tea (yum vanilla) sweetened with a splenda packet. I know there are mixed feelings about splenda, but it works for my sweets cravings. I heard yogurt also works, especially frozen yogurt. The crunch cravings I haven't figured out how to fend off. Any tricks for that one?

Ooh. I love graham crackers too! The different flavors they have out are great. I'm glad to say that I'm still eating clean. Today's my weigh in day at the doctor's! (no scale in the house..need one) I'm a little nervous but hoping that my weight is down. Wish me luck!
Weight Loss when do you weight yourself, morning or night? May 22 2007

I weigh myself in the morning. Might be more accurate than after a day, I'm not sure. Anyway, knowing my weight in the morning might either make me feel good if I'm down a pound or might motivate me to do better if I find that I've gone up.
