i bought mine off ebay,  i still havent got it in the mail yet.  but i think with shipping and all i paid like 11 canadian for it.

your body will burn carbs first and then fat.  weight traning burns carbs only, therefore do your cardio last. and you can do cardio everyday buut weights 3-4x a week

yes i measured with a tape.  and i eat 1200 cals before i work out.  im recovering from anorexia also so i have lost some muscle to that.  but if i eat more ill gain weight.  i just want to be back in my size 1 pants and be back to 110 pounds.

im in an outpatient treatment program for my ed's.  and the best advice i can give you is to up your cals 1 week at a time.  do it only whe you feel comfortable, AND most importantly stick to a meal plan.  have cerain times you eat and a controlled amount of cals you have to eat at those times and follow it.  increase it as you feel comfortable.


example:
9am breakfast 200 cals
1pm lunch 200 cals
3pm snack
100 cals
6pm dinner 500 cals
9pm snack 100 cals

so this is what i follow.  im up  to nearly 1200 cals a day now... i started at 200 a day.  and if you experience weight gain it will subside as your metabolism starts to work again (3-12 months) and you will lose some of it a settle at a healthy weight. im 5'4 and have gone from 108 to 133 and now that my metabolism is just starting to work better im down t 120 again.

if your getting bulky ...lower the weights or resistance.  just do more reps - less weight and you'll tone rather than build.  swimming will help build up the shoulders and so balance out the change in your thigh size.

hang in the gal, im with ya.  we'll get to our desired weight EVENTUALLY, but this time we have to do it the "healthy way".
so i guess this means i have to eat dinner...but from all the binge-purge ive had going on today i think its going to have to be a small dinner...maybe a salad, ahh damn it we have like no food in the house... looks like im going to subway...lol

unfortunately i dont think that will work.  if im going to purge im going to do it anyways.  i get an axiety attack after i eat and have to get all the food out immediately. sometimes i think i can handle the food and then when im finished the meal i start to freek out, other times i just binge because im weak and gross :(  oh i wish i was back to 108 pounds.  i feel so fat! and i look so lumpy. 

 im just hoping that my messed up metabolism will sort itself out and i can lose weight t eating 1200 cals a day. and hopefully the works outs will re-shape my gross body.

im having trouble with mutiple eds as well, and that tabasco thing might work? hmm.. i do like the hot stuff.  but when i binge on toast or cookies i dont think tobasco will go good with those, sigh... great  idea though. 
lately ive been doing horrible with the purging, almost everyday now again.  i was down to once a week for a bit.  i have to get back on my meal plan.  its these damn weekends that screw me up.  that and this morning i had doghnuts with my porage this morning, sigh...  well at least with this recovery stuff im doing im not gaining any  more weight.  im stuck between 122-128.  i bounce between there daily. i cant wait till im bouncing back and orth between smaller numbers.  but if thats going to happen i have to get tougher on myself.. NO MORE BINGES...MUST STAY IN CONTROL!!!

thanks julie.  yeah im totally in love with yoga at the moment.  i love the mindfullness it brings to my breathing...very relaxing and helps relieve stress. since doing the yoga, i feel lighter and like i can move more freely.  i like to do the yoga before my work outs to warm up my muscles.

well having just started yoga i think im going to do it 3-5x a week, wiht this including resistance training 3x a week and cardio 3-4 x a week.

i was eating 200 cals a day when i was severly anorexic, and my meatbolism had slowed down sooo much.  thry adding 100 cals a week to your diet.  and its a commitment that youll make sure you eat the amount youve set for yourself.  try for 800  a day till you feel comfortable then move to 900 and so on.  im now at 1100 cals and im losing weght.

i found the heavier i was the easier the pounds dropped off.  its these last 10 pounds that are sooo hard to get off.

i think im back on track, for now.  yesterday i went to the gym and did more yoga along with resistance training and cardio, and i ate a whole 1195 cals... so i did good, and i kept it all down.  so far this morning im doing good aswell...i ate breakfast, porage and a coffeee (140 cals).  the weekdays seem easier to get control over my eating...its those damn freekin weekends and good god..GROCERY DAY!!  i think the plan for grocery day is this now.. you see, my mom always buys junk food being that pasteries and muffins or along those lines. and so i want to eat them but i tell myself, NOOOO.  well, i figure if i allow my self a treat, not by going over my caloric intake but incorperating it into my diet , ill do better. hmmm its worth a try

ps, i hope your all feeling in control of your eating.

i too am doing this ith a mental illness, actually several.  i have depression, axiety disorder, borderline personality disorder ad ocd, along with my eating disorders. but dont givwe up gal. im 5'4 also and i usd to wiegh 192.  it took just over 2 years but im down to 123 today. you can do it. remember its a life choice and the weight doesnt always come off fast.

well since im a yoyo with my weight, ill tell you this.. when im gaining weight like i did from 110 to 133 i was warm all the time, but when im losing im always cold. i think my therapist siad it had something to do with lower metabolism?  your body is lowering its temp to conserve more calories for your other organs.

ruberta- sigh...same here...once i know i CAN have the food its like i cant stop either.  and once i screw up my diet i think in anall or nothing pattern where ill either starve or totally binge.  *hugs* we'll get through it, as long as we dont give up.

ruberta- i totally do the same thing like eating more on the weekend and then i end up breaking down crying and say thats it im going to starve!  i have to keep with my meal plan i have set for myself or else i set myself to either binge-purge or starve.
its so hard to stick to the meal plan though when my bf wants to go out for dinner or i try  to have a treat.  i need structured eating and controlled times and amount or else my eating disorder takes over.

yes i wiegh myself in the morning naked with an empty bladder.. i also find this is when my wieght is most accurate.  as far as measurmenrs go, the last time i did i ended up crying all night, i had gaied 7 inches all together, sigh... but maybe ill strt back up on it seeing how i just got a membership at the gym.  thanks for the input :)

i have 2 size 1 pants.  one pair is waaay smaller than the other.  sometimes im a size 1 and sometimes a size 4, and sometimes im a xs and sometimes a large. its all messed up.  why cant clothing all come in a standard clothing sizing?
