| Ok I know it sounds weird but the deficit thing that M3lody talked about is spot on. trust me it is hard to think that if I eat more I will lose more..what?? But it is so true. I did it. I was ahving a over a 1000 calories deficit everyday for almost a week and saw nothing so I upped my caloroes but still kept about 500-750 and the pounds melted away and so did the inches. It was CRAZY!
If you read the posts on this site often youwill see more often than not this is the case and there are tons of people saying the same thing as you who arent losing. I told someone this once and she was eating like 700 calories and working out (I know you arent doing this) and I told her she needed to eat more and she said no it will have to come off sooner or later and I said "at waht risk?" she wasnt happy! Anyways the 500-1000 calorie deficit is key! |

| I would add another day of strength traiinng and add legs in there. Your quads are a large muscle group and you can burn more calories by building the larger muscles. I would do this with your upper body 3 days a week with an off day in between. You can do your cardio on the same day or on the opposite days. that is up to you. | |||

| Fallingstar~ thanks yo so much for what you said about the skinny issue on CC. To be honest I get a little frustrated by it myself. As soon as someone says I ate 500 calories tod ay they say YOU HAVE AN ED. We need to be talking with these people to find out why and discuss healthier options. Also I know that we all over eat or have over eaten hence the need for CC (maybe not all but most) but It drives me crazy that when someone who is over weighta nd in a very unhealthy place says oh my gosh I binged and ate 5000 calories in one sitting the resopnsie is "thats ok there is always tomorrow" I feel that we need to weigh both of these issues equally. Both lead to severe health tisks and are ED. Oh and I also feel like when we call one sundae a "mistake" that it can encourage ED because it is looked at as wrong. 1 is ok 12 not so much!! |

| I too carry my weight in my thighs and butt. I have been doing both squates and lunges(only my own body weight) and cardio. i do the weights 3 times a week (just 2 -3 different leg exercises) and do cardio 5 times a week. Although my legs are still my obnoxious point they are steadily improving getting both leaner and tighter. You may see a little bulk at first but if you keep up with the cadio it will slim down. It is like the muscle behind the fat that happens in your abs when you do too many sit-ups without cardio. | |||

| If you are looking for advice outside of when you are running I would suggest just working on a deficit from calories consumed and calories burned.
I know that is a generic answer but it is what has worked for me. Try to have some carbs with a little protein before you run (whole wheat toast and PB or even just a banana) definitly eat during your run if it is a long one then I would try to have something with a higher content of protein when you are done. I have done this in the past when trianing for a half and it worked really well and I lost weight! Also try to do some strength trianing in between. If this doesnt make sense let me know and I will explain the defecit further. there are tons of threads on this website about it. |

| Ok this is a good thing not a bad thing. It means that this is really a "life change" you allow yourself what you want but in moderation. So many people beat themselves up over Oops I ate a brownie. It is life. You seem to be in control of it. Like today i went to Starbucks I really wanted to low-fat baana chocolate chip coffee cake. I have been working out consistently and decided although 390 calories I wanted it so I ate it and after my calculations for today I still hae a 550 calorie defecit!! I wanted it i ate it.
Please all dont freak or think something is wrong with you because you stepped out of the box of fruits, veggies,a nd lean meats!! |

| It might take your body a couple of weeks to get used to your new program. Your plan sounds very similiar to mine. I do weight 3 X a week but I try to do a lot of total body concentrating on large muscle groupd (chest, thighs ,and back). By doing this you burn more calories through out the day while your muscles are trying to repair. I still do abs and arms and stuff too. Then i do 2 days of cardio for 60-75 min (spin and elliptical) and I try to do one day on teh weekend of spin or running.
keep tracking your inchese lost. I guess in all my rambling i meant to say I was the same way and my weight went up and down at first and now it is melting of flike magic!!! You should see my graph!! :) it is a perfect picture of mountains and valleys until a few weeks ago!! GOod luck and keep it up. Try adding squats and lunges into your weights it really helps!! |

| Really try not to stress until TTOm is over. My weight gain varies evey month. this month was only 4 pounds last month was almost 9. Also try just lemon water as a natural way to cure bloating it really helps.
Dont freak. if is doesnt change at the end of ttom then get back on here and let us know exactly what you are eating, working, etc and we will help. Oh and one other thing...have you recalculated your daily calories after losing 15 lbs?? You probably were burning a little more daily at 15 lbs higher than now. Just a seperate thought! |

| Well if your goal is to gain muscle then she probably needs you to fuel your mmuscles, so although you will be eating at maintenance you will be lifting and increasing you muscle mass and will tighten your body to where you want it. Maybe that is your trinaers rationale. | |||

| Give yourself a fay off during the week from working out so you feel like you have to make it up on Saturday or Sunday and it will help counter balance the eating. Also choose a low cal drink and just have them make it a tall. I like Gin and tonic so I have them do I shot of Gin in a 16 oz class of tonic water. You could do the same with diet cola.
Also just know that it is ok to be relaxed on the weekends you shouldnt have to start all over just let them be maintenance days for now and slowly work towards a deficit on the wekends. For me it totally depends on the weekend but usually dont have much of a deficit if any! I like my summer food and fun! |

| JKR~Where did you go to school. I know it shoudl be super common but I dont hear ABA as a common suggestion usually and I strongly agree. It is pretty much what my education is based on and I am doing a Functional Anaysis Track right now for my masters. Platinum~ there is a lot of fluff out there about autism so really do your research and find out what actually has data to support that it works. Behavioral intervention is really what I have seen work. If you dont mind sharing some of your son's "quirks" I would love to give you some references or specific treatmetns I have seen work if I can. |

| From what I understand about weight loss and gain it is the calorie in vs calorie out and as you gain weight you will actually burn more in a typical day. so as long as you are inceasing your calories but once you reach a healthy weight you keep them at that level you wont continue to gain. I know that I am 5'8 and can eat about 1800 calories a day to maintainat 140. I have no idea what you are eating or how much but be healthy is the most iomportant. Just keep talking to your doctors I am sure eveyone arounf youwants to keep you healthy and they will help you stay that way. I jhope that makes sense and congrats on your recovery. Oh and I am also a calorie dictionary I know what you mean and I think it is ok as long as you dont obsess over it just like anything else. Just know what it is and let it help you instead of hurt you! | |||

| Why do you have to wait until Ocotber to get a diagnosis. I have my masters and undergrad in special ed and deal quite frequesntly with kids on the spectrum. I work pretty cloly with preschool age children and just finished my thesis on social initiations with a 4 year old boy with PDD (pervasive developmental disorder) which is also on the spectrum. Typicall autism vs aspergergers has a lot to do with verbal ability at certain ages most commonly. There is really a fine line between thes diagnoses. I dont know what you need but even if just support or someone to bounce ideas off of please feel free to shoot me a note! | |||

| I am a size 4 as well (not always sometimes still a 60 anyways but I still need to tone and work my body I am at the mid range of my BMI and at 21% body fat. I still dont want to be flabby. I know I am getting thin but BDD is prety extreme because we are ready to be ok with how we look yet.
I am often interested in the fact that we can be wanting to be too thin but if someon is severly over weight and thinks that it is ok for them to stay at a weight that is above their BMI that is GREAT!! I think that is all some osrt of health issue. if we have these standards that we have tro stay in to be healthy it should be encouraged on both ends. |

| I know everyone is saying enjoy and eat but I am OCD about this sort of thing so I undestand. As far as I know you get stuff to dip and cook in front of you at the Melting pot maybe alternate eating a pice dipped and then one not. I know it will be a small difference but it will stilll be amazing with a few less calories! | |||
