5'10" start weight - 213 current weight - 187 !!! (size 18 to 14) yippeee goal - 145 to 150 (lets see when we get there) I love this website!!! I started on Feb 19 '07. But the best part -- I had alot going on for one month and didn't pay a lot of attention to my diet. I didn't totally blow it, but I was kinda bad. I didn't gain one single pound!!!! I'm back on track (literally) and ready for more weight to start coming off. Good luck everyone! |

| I'm sorry you have an idiot for a boss. That comment sounds almost abusive. However, in his own way, he might think that he was incouraging you. If he continues to make these comments, you should let him know they bother you. If that doesn't stop him, then go to your HR dept. or his superior. | |||

| I'm pretty new too! I started on Feb 19. I love this website. I am still a little overwhelmed also. There is so much to take in. Can anyone tell me the best source to learn what are healthy amounts of certain items like fiber, sodium, fats. I see people talking about keeping under certain % of this or that. Example, I know you need some amount of fats, and other amounts of calcium. Where can I find these details? Also, is it really really bad that I'm eatting lots of Lean Cuisines? I know that I should prepare more meals. But again this take me back to how much of what should I be eating. | |||

| I used to drink 4-5 cans of DDPs a day. I had heartburn all the time. I found Calorie-Count on Feb 19. I have been very strict with eating healthy, excercising and drinking water, water and more water. For some reason, I have lost all interest in diet drinks. I don't miss them at all. I don't feel bloated like I used to. And the heartburn is gone! I think I'm in my "healthy place" state of mind now. Oh yeah, I've gone from 209 to 197. I feel like I am on the road to my old slim self. |

| I just found this site on Feb 19. I get excited when I see stories like yours. Congratulations! Gives me hope that I'll be there some day - 58 lbs lighter!!!! I've lost 10 lbs. and I already feel like a different person. There is just so darn much to read on here. I see something about vitamins and I have to read it, then there is something about exercise and I gotta read that, then of course the diets and recipes. Not enough hours in the day! I want to get on one of those groups that keep track of loosing together. How do I find one that has room for me? |

| I started on Feb 19 at 209. Today I'm 202. I'm so excited to find this website. My goal is 155-160ish. But weight isn't that big a deal to me. I'm 5'10" and I want to get down to a size 12 and not tight. I got up to a size 18. Getting up to this size was an awakening for me. I looked in the mirror and thought I looked so old. I felt old too. So this is it. change of life. eat healthy, exercise and just a more positive attitude. Are y'all finding you are more positive from reading other's posting? Everyday I'm reminding myself, this didn't happen over night, so it's gonna take me a few months to reach my goal. Good luck to you all!!!!!! |

| I was in the grocery store a couple of months ago. I saw an extremely heavy lady in a motorized basket. At first I feft really sad for her. I then get in line and she gets in the line next to me. At this point she has a 3-5 yr girl with her. The girl looked to already be 60- 80 lbs. just a guess. The woman kept feeding the child candy after candy until she just shook her head no. And she had a donut in her hand too! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was furious. This child doesn't stand a chance. Yes, it is hard to tell if someone with a weight problem is trying to "help themselves" when you just pass them on the street. But this basket was full of junk and all I could think about was the heath of this child. It almost seems like a crime. Kinda hard to have sympathy for this mom. |

| I just found this wonderful website this past Monday. OMG where have I been? I truly believe you have to be in just the right state of mind to start something like this. So I guess I have just gotten into that state of mind. I have logged everything that goes in my mouth except water this week. I'm avoiding high calories because I don't want to have to log it in! I just started and it seems easy so far and I'm so pumped and excited about my results already. This "tool" seems to be just what I needed. Of course, it's new and I haven't had to face the obstacles that I know are ahead of me. Also, there is so much info here, it's overwhelming. I'll have to read around the clock to catch up on everything. |
