| I have the same "problem". Since our bodies need to replenish themselves, I opt for a protien shake after all that exercise. I am really into Muscle Milk. Try that. | |||

| I totoally have to agree with Jessica Alba. she has the same body type as I; one with a short tummy, and an awesome outlook. You DO realize that she grew up in a tubby family? Think our genes are holding us back (well... I still blame the side of the family from up norht, my other side are twigs grrrr ;p). Read an article on her and realize it really IS possible to get a body like that even with bad genes. |

| I totally understand what you're going through. High school football season is coming up and you want to be an all-star starter right? Of course! that's why you bust your butt and starve yourself and eat irregularly. I did that too. I played soccer and all I ever wanted to be was the star starter you know? But get this: the more I ate "good" stuff like veggies and fruits and lean meats the better I played. I can have AS MUCH OF IT AS I WANT and play like a new wind. Amazingly enough those so called superpower foods actually hold the punch. Yes, by eating every 3 hrs or so (that's what I do) and eating like 10-15g of protein with each mini meal I gained energy to workout and practice. Good luck and don't let anyone tear you down just because your 15...and please... don't KILL yourself over-exercising... =p |

| It really didn't say. I think about light peddling to moderate effort. I think the magazine is just proving the point that interval training cuts more calories from fat then the glucose stored in your muscles. Try it out and get back to me if you find anything different. I'm going to try this out for a week then hey, if it works, I'm a believer! | |||

| My experience is similar to jem599's. Grab a quick protein bar but check out the label. I found the the small Tiger's milk is a perfect size and choice. After you work out, your muscles are in a catabolic state and absorb nutrients the quickest. Therefore try to get another protien shake (check calorie count)/bar around 15-20 mins after workout. Since you're coming home from work I'm assuming dinner is around the corner so this will hold you over until then. Best of luck! |

| Yeah, it's the caffine in it. Green tea has similar properties (except it's actually -good- for you...yummy healthy benefits!) In the end, one can probably helps you burn an extra 15-30 calories MAYBE. The caffine makes you jittery. But please gosh don't start going on a rampage about energy drinks and drinking like 5 of them a day just so you can burn an extra few calories; in the end it really won't help that much. |

| Weight Loss | too few calories? | May 20 2007 17:59 (UTC) |

| You know what can help with your sweet cravings is ALLOW yourself to have sweets. Don't make them forbiddin or else (like in my case) when you have some you eat the entire thing; just like your Dove bar incident ;) . Maybe try this. Take your box of Dove bars, cut them in half and put each half in a baggie. Date them. That means you have set aside a certain portion of your favorite item that you can munch on all day. Make a pact that you cannot and will not touch the other baggies. If you do, you won't be able to have that treat on that day! I have found that if I tell myself I really don't like that certain item, I will have restraint in eating it. I gave up sugar for Lent one time and after a while cookies, ice cream (well maybe not ice cream =p) didn't even look appetising. Crazy I know.... Ice cream is my fav food group! |

| Weight Loss | too few calories? | May 19 2007 23:58 (UTC) |

| Try this: I think you're eating too little calories honestly (which screws with your body making it want to STORE calories), but I think since you DO have a fast metabolism (luck you!) eat around 1200 but eat in tiny chunks. Eat b'fast the way you normally do, but instead of having lunch, have 3 small chunks of your lunch 30 min apart each. So instead of having a 15 min meal, have a 1.5 hr meal. This revs up your metabolism EVEN MORE then it already is. Try to eat every 2-3 hrs (I aim for 2hrs = 150 cal "snack"). Dinner is dinner at home; lay low on the dressings etc. and good job of aiming btwn 300-400 cal but give yourself a cut off limit on when to eat say, 730pm or something. If you get really hungry suck on a popsicle or have acup of skim milk. Get back to me if this helps! |

| That happens to me running if I haven't gone running in a month or so. I found out that the more I ran, the less I itched; I mean the more days I ran. It is unbearable yes! I found it goes away with time. Try hydrocortizone cream. | |||

| Eat clean and let your body rest. Especially if you weight train. In the end, if you don't allow yourself a day off, you'll end up feeling tired and sluggish after a while! | |||
| Weight Loss | What are the best snacks to eat when i get home from school?? | Feb 20 2007 18:15 (UTC) |

| Actually, try to stay low on the dried fruit. Go for a whole fruit instead. Dried fruit doesn't have the same hunger fighting power unless you eat too much of it. It's dehydrated and condensed so it is VERY calorie concentrated. Opt for it's natural, whole water cousin! Same goes with power bars... if I were you, since school gets out around 230pm and dinner is around 5-6pm, have a cup of low sugar yogurt, low fat string cheese, and a large apple. Wait 20-30 minutes before picking any other food up. While you wait, do something to get your mind off eating like going outside with your friends. This trick is awesome because you are having so much fun you forget about the fact you were hungry a half hour ago, and plus, all that fiber and low cal food triggers that appetite switch off! Good luck! |
