I'm definitely for plant foods! Though you're not vegan or veggie, you can still enjoy lots of plant foods!

My favourite thing now is sweet potatoe with a little PB. You just cook a sweet potato, splitit lengthwise, spread a little PB on one side, then stick the two halves together and eat it like a sandwich.

Hey I love PB too! But I eat the real natural thing...

I never have any problems with PB, how come you want to cut it out? I have PB but only a teaspoon on my sweet potato...it' so good, don't give it up!

Or if you really have to, I think Better n' PB is worth a try...

Chana Masala, or dahl. Just ask for dahl! It's yummy! And gobi masala, or bhindi (okra).

Eat chapatis, not pratas! Don't get bhaturas or pooris either, they're deep fried! Briyanis or pulaus are good choices too!

Can I join? I'm not underweight, well nearly, but I do have an eating disorder. I used to refuse to eat anything but steamed chicken or fish, ridiculously tiny amounts of wild rice and a set portion of veggies and two servings of fruit.

Now I enjoy cooking up loads of stuff from Veganomicon and vegan with a Vengeance, plus loads more, but I still get those ED thoughts in my head. And I always seem to "need" to exercise and burn energy, or I won't sit still.

I'm a girl soccer player, something i'm very proud of! In my school soccer team!

I think I'll need all the help I can get, because I can't deny the fact that I still have the mentality of someone with an ED, even though I'm not losing weight.

Ooh we eat kailan at least once or twice a week! That's because we're Chinese (:

We call them Chinese kale! We don''t have kale here, kailan's the only kind close enough to it.

Sure you can weigh it! Stir fry it with garlic and some soy sauce.

I was thinking of using mashed tofu...with vegan mayonnaise. But I don't know how to make it taste nicer cause I don't have many herbs and spices with me. Black pepper, salt, soy sauce, thyme, basil, ground ginger. No turmeric, cumin etc.

I don't really know how to make hummus though I have tahini.

Veggies...not much I can work with. But I just want to worry about the sandwich filling first, it doesn't have to have veggies in it.

oh if it helps I have sweeteners like jam, sugar, agave nectar and canned chickpeas. I have red lentils I want to use but require cooking. I may be able to get my mom to help me cook the lentils if I'm using them though..

375 is a really good amount, I'm not dieting anymore and I can 500? For lunch. 375 is abit low for a school kid, I find that I got too much allowanc leftover for the evenings when I eat that little.

oh my folks and friends keep trying to 'knock some sense into me'. Not vegan, but I really want to be one. My mom is strongly against it though, and she'll never letme go veg. She says there's not enough protein in veg food. My dietician also tells me that vegans are nutritionally deficient.

I'll be relying on Silk soy milk for Vit B and D plus some other stuff when I become a vegan. I plan to become one once I recover from my eating disorder.

Multivitamins are okay, I just take one pill in the morning. If I remember.

Sugar laden chocolate milk is pretty common here. I don't get the underpriced part. I was talking about US products costing me a bomb here. And without Silk soy milk, I wonder where I'll get my precious vitamins when I become a vegan next time. Can't find any locally produced soymilk here that's fortified with vitamins. Calcium, yes, but not vitamins. And the local unsweetened soy milk tastes like water.

I wanted to get boca burgers for convenience cause I got problems making my own that's just as protein rich in like, 5 min flat on school day mornings. We go to school pretty early. I have breakfast at 6.30.

We still got chewing gum, but no bubblegum allowed. (: Don't think the pop rule exists though. The bubblegum law is Singapore's pride and joy. ((:

I'm just 13 but I've suffered from something like yours, but I'm recovering well. I'm glad there are people around who's been through the same thing. (:

Kai lan!! I eat it very often. In Singapore we get loads of kai lan from Malaysia and China. We even have some kai lan grown in local hi-tech farms! Kai lan has quite alot of calcium and I understand why it's called chinese brocolli-the stem tastes the same and is just as crunchy!

Just stir-fry it in olive oil and oyster sauce and enjoy!
