Depends on a can. It's 10 Cal per serving, but bigger ones have multiple servings, so read the label. As far as weight loss, it shouldn't. It has tons of chemicals and caffeine as you said thought.

UD

Totally agree with UD. The can itself has two servings, and drinking energy drinks have the same effect as alcohol in the sense that it drains your body to the point where it can lead to dehydration.
Just make sure to drink a lot of water after consuming. :)

Weeks one over.

What I liked about the work out:
1. It's 10 mins. This is the best part!
2. Every work out is intense. I'm 168 lbs... I was sweating by minute 2 of the Cardio workout.
3. I felt ever part of my body being worked out.

What I had to take into considerations:
1. I'm not fit. All of the work outs start out at full throttle, there is no.. "low impact". It's either go your pace and watch them do it twice as fast.. or don't do it at all.
2. You have to watch yourself, and make sure you are doing the movements correctly... if not.. you fall.. you will hurt yourself... and there is a possibility you might not get up. No joke.. you need a lot of room... especially if you are going to use the door strap option... (warning.. unless you are somewhat fit... don't use these till you get use to the routine).
3. It's 10 mins. Yes... one work out will work out every part of you, but you either need to do other work out... or more cardio to get a full burn. I did either 2 10 Min workouts or a 10 Min workout and 30 mins on the elipical... or 10 Min Workout and one of my Slim in 6 work outs. I think it's my mind telling me... 10 Mins is just not enough... *shrugs*
4. Eat healthly. Although the kit does come with a meal plan.. (but all Beach Body Meal Plans are the same).. I have to make sure I'm keeping withing my allowed calorie count.

I know this is a long extra but hey... you guys need to know this if you are going to try it out.

I'm 168 lbs... 5 foot tall.. and I needed something that was quick. I found it funny that during midweek I gained 3 lbs. I just kept on trucking and made myself think.. it's muscle.. your muscles are just getting strong.. and hey.. you can do push ups now! Sure as poop.. I went back to my original weight of 168 by the end of the week. I feel my arms are stronger... and my legs are shaping up nicely..

I'll update everyone again at the end of week 2.

I've been doing it three days now... and I think I over did it.. LOL! you can do 1 work out... but I went full blown three since I started it during my vaca.

My legs burn from the cardo.. and my sides hurt. The meal plan looks like every meal plan I ever got from the Beach Body sight.. but I'm making sure to eat healthy..

All I got to say.. I can't believe I started sweating within 5 mins of the work out.. the the Extreme Yoga.. OMG! You want to learn how to get limber.. there's your work out right there.. I'll up everyone when I have finished a week of it. According to the work out you have to work out everyday. Wish me luck.

it's nice to hear that you guys are doing well.
I have lost 20 lbs on this program in two months. It was great! But know it seems I have stoped losing weight. I guess my motivation stoped. *shrugs*
I'm going to try Turbo Jam. I heard great things about it. I'm gonna mix it in with my SI6 routine, in hopes in seeing more results. Well.. I'm off to eat some pizza! ha ha ha ha!

Hah! Tell me how it took me an hour and 15 mins to get through BIU (burn it up).
I woke up this morning feeling like a midget sucker punched my left hamstring!
It been over two months. And I thought I was doing to be good with RIU (ramp it up), but I totally forgot how your muscles get use to what you're throwing at them.
I didn't loose any weight for two weeks (was stuck at 152). And that was bad for me, since my goal is to lost 10 lbs a month. So this morning I'm finally at 148.2.
I don't even sweat the diet thing anymore, it just comes natural.

I hope everyone is doing well with the program. Here are my stats. I want everyone to know, that this is a great program, but be aware that it's based on how motivated you are to lose weight.
Start Date: March 2
Weight: 148.2 (from 170)
R Mid-Thigh: 21 (from 24)
L Mid Thigh: 21 (from 23)
Right Upper Arm: 12 (from 14)
Left Upper Arm: 12 (from 14)
Chest: 37 (from 41)
Hips: 34 (from 40)
Waist:36 (from 40)

*hugglez to all* *mocks Debbie* MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN!

Week 8

HA! You like that.. that I'm on week 8 and still doing RIU? I don't care! I started ... March 5 and lost almost 20lbs.
I've got a great routine now which involes cardo and RIU. I just told myself that I'm going to work on my "pooch" then I'll tone. I'm so happy that SI6 really help me loose a lot of weight.
I'm really happy for everyone starting out. It's a great thing! I promise. Just don't lose motivation! You are doing the right thing! Be your own biggest losers. I will check on you guys later on!

<<WANRING LONG POST>>
I'm sorry I haven't posted in while guys. I'm not going to lie.. I have cheated. I have slacked off to one work out a day, rather then twice a day like I wanted. But one thing is for sure, I did make up for it. I really need to do my measurement, but I am down to a size 7/8 from a 11/12. And I'm down from 170 to 153. And I still really haven't master RIU, but I do the routine everyday (with the exception of my off day). In fact I haven't even looked at the BIU dvd box in a long while.
*thinks to where she put the darn BIU dvd*
Any-hoo. So I really like the program, but all it is whatching what you eat, and buring the the equalvilate of what you ate. I've just been counting my calories, taking a multi vitimin, and exercising. I totally zoned out Debbie, because I know the routine for RIU and got tired of her saying.. "This will shrink  your waist... RIGHT CHRIS?!" So know I just turn the DVD on for support and to always double check if my form is right. I'll put up my messurement later.. Lemme to relax from my 30 mins of cardo with my 3 eggs whites w/ salsa.

Jenny - I totally feel like that. But regardless how crazy I am, other people a starting to notice that my size 10 no longer fits me as well as it use too (tight wise). I need to go shopping *tee hee*

Sweet - Yeah.. that one whole hour messes up me up. I'm going to try BIU today tomorrow and Friday. RIU is getting to easy.. even the silly leg lifts thingys.

Shame on meeh for not postin' in like.. forever... *sighs*
But good news.. I'm on week 4.. *does a little jig*
Okay.. I haven't messured myself.. but I will like share that starting on my fourth week I am at 160.4.. WITH CLOTHES ON!!! *giggles to herself*
That's hot considerin' I started out at 170.7. I couldn't belive it, because I weighed myself this morning.. and it said 160.7 and thought, *pish* yeah.. let's see what the day brings me.. and sure as poop before I indulged myself in some RIU, 160.4. TooOooOo happy.
Okay, bad news.. I hate BIU. I hate it with a passion. It takes me more then an hour to get through that gosh darn work out.. but RIU has gotten to easy. *pouts* I'll get use to it.. maybe... but.. WOO HOO.. 10 POUNDS LIGHTER!!
I'm sure happy at myself for even wakin' up super early in the morning for cardio at the gym. 45 mins on the elipicial non-stop.. sweatin' everywhere, but still healthy enough to go non-stop. I'm so happy that I'm healthy!

I was on SIU (Start it Up) for almost a week. Yeah.. and that burning sensation.. yeah I hated it for like 4 days, but you need to stick it out, because as soon as you do, RIU won't be as bad. I promise. ^_~.  I worry about BIU. *cringes* But I feel right now in my 3rd week that RIU is beginning to feel like SIU, so it's about that time. *hugglez* HAVE FUN!!

End of week two: *grumbles* Not what I wanted, but I'll take it

Weight: 163 (from 170)
R Mid-Thigh: 22 (from 24)
L Mid Thigh: 22.5 (from 23)
Right Upper Arm: 12 (from 14)
Left Upper Arm: 12.5 (from 14)
Chest: 39 (from 41) *pouts* they are shrinkin'
Hips: 38 (from 40)
Waist:38 (from 40) I can only blame my self due to I had beef pad tai and cheese coated bread during the week. And of coarse I indulged myself with two lemon shots at the bar last night, because it was my friend's b-day. But I did do my exercises twice a day. It's buckle down time. Going into week 3. It's either RIU or BIU or bust! Today I will ease up even though it is my off day. I think I will do a good RIU though, cause I didn't work out last night. *sighs* Sorry for long post. I hope everyone else is doing well!

monix - Ha! Maybe that's my issue, I gave up coffee, I gave up pastas, and potatoes... but the cigs. *sighs*. I'm going to have to admit, I can't let them go. But I notice that my intake of the cigs have dropped dermatically ever since I started working out. I'm done to two a day. I usally smoked about 6 to 7.

I want to welcome everyone I missed to the program and best of luck.

I'm about to pound my scale into the bathroom floor as it tells me I only lost 2 pounds this week! GRRRRR! Whatever.. I'll messure myself on Saturday while a eat a turkey leg.. LOL.. just kidding.

want2bejess - *hugglez* you are doing great. I mean you have tons of things to do during the day, but all you need is a work out a day. So you are doing great! My legs killed me when I did SIU, till I discovered that the streched routine helped me with easying of the burn. So.. I hope that helps.  I jumped in RIU on week 2 and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, then again, I was doing SIU twice a day.

anxious1 and sweet_tart - thanks for the encouragement. means a lot to me. The whole being on your elbow and swinging my legs around got me moaning and groaning on how much I wanted to throw something at the TV screen. But then again I was just like then with my arms, so I think I'll do fine with the spoofy tip you gave me! thanks so very much.

youfoundjenny and x17star17x - congrats on getting SI6! I'm loving it so far, and hope you feel the same when you start out. Just think how fine you are going to look! YeeEEeeeZZzzZZ!!!! ^__^

end of week one

Overall weight lost = 4 pounds

Arms = -1 Inch

Thighs = -1 Inch

Hips = -2 Inches

Waist = -1

I didn't messure my bust cause.. I really don't think that's an issue.. and I'm really scared I'm going to lose Tatter and Tott (my nicknames for my chest pillows tee hee). I rather not know if I lost any in that area.

Yesterday was my off day, but I still did 60 min on the eliptical to justify the big dinner I was planning to indulge in. But at the end of the day, I could only stomach 6 out of 12 grilled bbq chilken wings drenched in bbq sauce.  I was going to order the all time southern favorite, sweet tea, but caught myself ordering water like second nature. But all in all it was a beautiful restful day.

Today started the RIU week. I told myself regardless how crappy I did RIU last week won't deter me away from atleast making to the of the whole routine today. I have braggin' to my boyfriend that the SIU routine had gotten to easy. Surprisingly I made it throught the whole work out (granted I took about 3 breaks in the middle and had to relax my legs futher toward the end of the work out). I feel the new burn from SIU. Which is a great thing. I didn't want my body getting use to a work out. I can stand pain if it means I'm getting fitter and healther.

The whole diet and calorie counting has become second nature now. I catch myself looking at the calories and fat on every little thing that I want to put in my mouth. Even when I want to cheat. I"m not going to lie, I have cheated on the the diet plan they gave me, but it will cheat with  an extra cup of grapes or a full cup of meat eather then 4 oz.

But my end result.. Sorry for the long post.. and I'm doing really well. And I'm so happy that everyone else is either getting on, and/or doing extremly well.

Off Topic - I just got a 42" LCD TV. So now when I do my work out.. it feels like they are in my living room. SOooOooO SwwwEEeeET!

Still doing SIU. Cause apparently RIU is till to much for me. *grumbles* 5lbs and it's only midweek. I better lose more weight, because if I don't I'm going to crazy and beat my boyfriend senseless for eating beacon in front of me! J/K

sweet_tart - Is doing SIU twice a day not enough? Should I do more cardio like running?

monix - I resent. I subjected line it.. SLIM IN 6 DIET PLAN - DO DELETE MEEH!!!  *tee hee*

Speaking of which, the two work out a day is killing me! I haven't woke up at 5 in morning since army boot camp. But I have to in order to fully be awake for the work out, then eat, then get ready for work. I'm soOOooOoo passin' out tonight.

But feeling the pain the feels so good. I know it sound weirds, but pain is just weakness leaving the body.. and that only means I'm getting stonger. Love it.. just love it!

Woot Woot.

wnbtoned - Thank you so much for the advice about dieting. I know I had to slow my roll on food (and it's pretty chubby roll). To me a diet was eatting everything on my plate.. and then considering if I was going to share my dessert or not.. Hmmmm.. yeah.. not good. That's why I'm doing the whole by the book thing. I figure, If I did it by the book, it has to be fool proof!

Sweet: I'm diggin' the diet plan now. I'm exciting to know that everything is planned out for me. I woke up this morning and was like.. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M HAVING FOR BREAKFAST! And I'm also excited to annouce that I have I finished the whole SIU. The burning in my thighs have waved down, and my arms can move again.. *yeah*.

monix - I sent the diet plan over. Being on it for a whole day, it doesn't seem that bad. That and the whole fasting phase made my tummy uber small. When you scamble 6 egg whites, it's like a HUGE omlette! I could have ate half, but I was afriad that since I didn't eat, my body would have hated me if I didn't and I need energy if I was going to pull another work out at the end of they day.

Besides all that, I have been playing the "weighing myself each morning" game. Because I lost 5 pounds during the fasting game, and I thought it was come back after eatting again. But sure as *poop*, it's still off. SooOOooO.. really excited. Really really excited guys.

And let me tell you guys. After two days for fasting.. a plate of 6 scrabbled eggs whites with a cup of strawberrys taste sOOooOooOooOo good with a 4 oz cup of skim milk.

I woke up feeling so refreshed and excited that I decied that I might partake in a little SIU. Yeah... I made it through maybe I good 15 mins of it, before my legs and arms about gave up on me. But it's okay.. I expected as much. I'm going to do my cardio at the gym with a nice 30 min of treadmill, and 20 mins of the SIU again. And see how the works.

The booklet is sOOooOooO funny.. it lays out everything from when you wake up in the morning, to when you lay down @ night.

It's like.. wake up.. BAM! Drink 8 oz of water before you work out..

Then you work out 20-60 mins of cardio

then drink more water

then eat breakfast

(this is where I look @ the back of the book and it tells me what they mean by meat, fruit one, fat one, etc)
4 oz of meat or meat substitute
One serving of Fruit One
1 table of FAT ONE
4 oz soy or skim milk

So this is what I would be eatting
4 oz egg subsitute omlette cooked in a tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 of a banana
4 oz of skim milk..

or there are two other option you can pick from

MmMMmmMm.

Did you want me to scan and send over?

I'm proud to annouce that I did not eat not a gosh darn thing today. Yes.. the fasting is almost done. Tomorrow will be the start of the 6 Day Express Diet Plan.

I'm doing Plan 1. And like "THE BOOK" says - "Plan 1 is balanced, healthy die recommended for anyone new to dieting and exercise but still up for the challenge of the 6-Day Express."

I'm look at the breakfast sections.. and Loving the fact that I can eat 4 oz of meat!!!! OMG!!! I made a shopping list of the foods listed in the back of the book so I can stock my shelf up for the week. I'm really excited about this guys! You just don't know how much a tablespoon of peanut butter on a whole grain slice of bread.. just one though.. MMmmmMMm.... Ha ha haha.. I bet I sound like a nut. I guess that's why they recommend you do the fast. So you realize how much a little bit of food can make you feel so grateful!
