I, Augenblick, do solemnly swear that I will work out 5 days a week.  I have been good about getting 4 days in but I need to bump it up.  My mini goal is to be 5 lbs lighter by the end of September.

I also stumbled across a website called Lion's Lair (I believe that is the name).  They are in Florida and they sell bathing suits and lingerie.  You might have some luck there.

Where do you live?  You need to go to a custom bra shop where they know how to measure and have a variety of sizes in stock.  You will pay about 50-75 dollars a bra but it is well worth it for a good fit.  Better quality tends to last longer too as long as you hand wash the bras or put them in a lingerie bag when you run them through the washer and dryer.

Congrats on the weight loss.  I knew I was onto something.  My body fat stays the same no matter how much I exercise or weight I lose.  Well in all honesty, it may go down a percentage or two but it is never substantial.

Thanks for your response.

Just word of support...

I am very sorry for your situation.   I love all dogs and think that all dogs are good.  Any dog (or any person) for that matter is capable of making a bad decision or a decision that seemed like the right decision at the time.  This could've happened to anyone.  I wish you the best.  That's all.  Only positive thoughts go your way from me.

Hopefully, this is just a fluke but it has been a rough week.  I think stress just keeps weight on you no matter what.  I have exercised and my eating was in check so it has to be the stress.

Hi guys,  I am new to TBL challenges.  I have been on CC since November.  I have lost weight, gained weight, lost weight...well you know the drill.  Anyway, I got down to 148 which was still about 10-15 lbs from goal and then gained back up to 155.  I joined this challenge to keep me on track.  I am going on vacation to Barbados at the end of June and would really love to feel comfortable in a bathing suit.  That is my motivation for now. My personal goal is to lose .5-1.0 a week.

I am all about numbers and science.  The other day I wore my heart rate monitor all day to see how many calories I actually burn in a rather typical day.  It was much less than I thought.  So, now I realize that I need to exercise more and eat even less which is very hard for me b/c I love food.  I eat a very healthy vegetarian diet but apparently I just eat too much.

Anyway, sorry for the long ramble.  I need to get off to the gym.

Good luck everyone!

It sounds like your muscles are retaining water.  Stick with it.  Don't worry.  You should see your weight drop back down (and then some) within a couple weeks.

I want in.  I am new here so I may need a little hand holding:)  I don't have a lot to lose...maybe 10 lbs or so but I really need the motivation.  I have been struggling with losing this weight for a very long time and I have had enuf.  I am going on vacation at the end of June and would love to feel good in a bathing suit.

Total so far (including April 7th)  406 deficit/14000.

I think I get the award for lowest deficit but I am still going.  My burn meter says that I burn only about 1670 calories so it is hard for me to get a big deficit.  The good news is that I lost 2 lbs this week so I must be doing something right.  I only have about 10-15 more lbs to lose and I find these last lbs are definately the hardest to shake off.  If anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.

Good luck everyone!  Onward!

So far, I have a deficit of 191 calories (over 3 days!).  Terrible, I know but I am going to keep going.  It is amazing how splitting a small pizza with a friend and a few glasses of wine can add up.  I had fun though and sometimes that is all that matters.

Good luck everyone and I hope to be showing some bigger numbers next week.

I don't know if I am figuring this correct but how are people getting a thousand or more calorie deficits in one day?  I thought it is only healthy to get around 500 a day?

Hi, I am new here but would like to join the 14,000 group.  I am going to go easy the first month.  Thank you so much for doing this.  I think it will exactly what I need to stay on track.

Also, what is your body fat?  I am about the same weight and height as you and my goals are very similar however, losing weight is not as important to me as losing fat.  I want my body fat percentage to go down and the only way to do that is lifting heavy weights and HIIT.  At least that is what I am reading on this site and others.  Good luck and I definately feel you pain.

Frustrated and annoyed by my lack of progress lately.  I am bouncing around 150 and would love to consistently show numbers below 150.  I have been exercising, eating clean and whole foods, drinking plenty of water....doing everything by the book.  I think my body just wants to be 150 and my mind wants to be about 10 lbs. less.

Anyway, maybe next week..

Thanks for the advice guys.  I have been upping the weights on the Shred and alternating workouts but the results just aren't great for the second time around.  I am now going to try My Fitness Coach for the Wii for a few weeks and if I don't see some results, I will probably jump into the New Rules of Lifting for Women.

Healthmd (and whoever else is interested), would you want to do a NROLFW challenge starting April 1st?

Talk to you all soon.

Healthmd,

That is a perfect goal.  Running in Central Park with a bunch of like minded women?  That is soooo cool.  You must do it.

I am glad to see your post as I was wondering how you are doing.  What is your strength training routine right now?  Are you are following a specific program?  I do better with programs.  I have 3 more Shreds before I am done with my second round of 30 days.  It is still hard but definately easier than when I started.  I am just getting bored with it and my body is not showing the results it did on my first go around.  It is amazing how quick your body tends to adapt to exercise.  You just have to keep mixing it up.

Gram,  You are I seem to be in the same boat.  Let's buckle down this week and see what happens.  I just can't seem to keep on track with logging my calories.  I am still mentally monitoring but having a hard time hopping on the computer and continuously logging.  I might just try writing everything down in a notebook instead.

Good luck everyone and hopefully we all will be a little lighter on Thursday.  And then, St. Patrick's day is just a few days away.
