Everything is going great here. My sick baby still has a bit of a runny nose but I can tell that she is feeling tons better. She has her energy back. Other than that I don't have much news to give. Weight loss is going great here. The other day I finally hit my half way point. I now have 32 lbs gone and about 28 to go. I am very excited about that. I am now in the 160's, which i haven't seen since before i got pregnant 2 and a half years ago. It was a huge accomplishment.

Danielle: I'm sorry to hear your little one is still sick. I hope she feels better soon. I love getting long walks like that in, but with it being so cold here the only place i can go to just walk around for a few hours is the mall, and it gets extremely boring. I like in a smaller city where there is just not much to do in the winter.

I guess it's my turn. My name is Ashley, I'm almost 22 years old and my job is being a full time mom. My daughter is almost 2 years old and she is my pride and joy.

I have been trying to loose weight for about 2 1/2 years now and quit the first time because I got pregnant and I guess I felt that it gave me a free pass to eat whatever i want. I gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy and continued to gain after my daughter was born. At my highest weight of 200 lbs i decided it was time for me to get in gear and loose this weight once and for all (i've always been the chubby girl who couldn't keep her hands out of the candy jar) As of today I have now made it to my halfway point which I am extremely excited about and i am soo proud of myself. I have lost 31 lbs and have 29 more to go i think... the reason i say "i think" is bacause i have never been down that low before and i don't know how i am going to feel. I chose a goal weight of 140 because that is a good BMI for me but who knows, maybe i'll fell great at 145 or so and not want to loose anymore. The greatest part about the goal i reached today is that i know once i loose another 4 lbs, from then on I will be at my lowest weight in my entire adult life. I can honestly say I have never been below 165 so i am very excited about that.

I, like Nikki, could ramble on and on, but i'll save it for another time.

Clinder: thanks for being our team captain.

Nikki: I am amazed at your perseverance to keep going with the BLC's. I can't imagine keeping them going for all this time. Thanks!

Good luck to everyone! I have a feeling we have a great team here!!!

Sorry I've been a little absent. It's been a little nutty around here. My daughter is sick with yet another cold, finally with one that I didn't pick up as well (we've both been getting sick about every 2 weeks since before the summer... yeah my summer totally sucked) She seems to be doing better today but not so great the last 2 days.

Welcome to our little group Jess. Glad to have you. You seem to be working on a habit i am still trying to break... binging after dinner. I just seem to feel that after dinner i deserve a little treat and then a little one turns into a disaster. I've been trying really hard to change that though. I'll try to not eat at all after dinner or have a small piece of chocolate or something like that and make myself only have the one piece. It's seems to be working but I really would like it to just be a habit and to come naturally to not binge rather that a process of me forcing myself. But hopefully the habit will come later.

I like the idea of having goals and ways to achieve them on here, too. And I could edit the opening post to display them, just to remind us to work towards them.

Welcome everyone. I am so glad that there are people out there who want to join me in this. So what do you all think about cutting it off here or would you like a few more people. I am totally open for suggestions.

So I think it would be a good idea if we took some time to get to know each other, so i guess i will begin. My name is Ashley. I will be 22 in December. My daughter is almost 2 and my husband and I have been married for about 2 years, and I really love being a mom and wife now, even at a young age. My daughter keeps me super busy, but she really is a lot of fun. Outside of that aspect of my life my goal is to open a non-profit canine rescue group. Right now I am just in the research stage...lol. Well that's about it for now.

Let me know what you all think about adding anymore members and if you can think of a cool group name Laughing... just for fun.

Thanks again for joining my group. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

don't worry i don't plan on losing this much every week. I don't even know how that happened. i think it's because I'm exercising more that i ever have before.

Goals for next week: Maintain or lose no more than 1.5 lbs

Keep working out with Wii Fit

Test out 2 Zumba classes with my mother in law.

Try and get on the elliptical or stationary bike when i can. (i didn't do that at all last week.)

there are many reasons for me

1. First and foremost, for my daughter. She is almost 2 years old and she is getting faster and more energetic every day, and I want to be able to keep up with her and I, like Styldeon, want to show my daughter how to be healthy now so that she doesn't have to go through these struggles when she is older. I want to teach her to be healthy, always.

2. For my husband. I want us to share a long, happy and healthy life together.

3. For myself. I want to feel strong, and healthy, and happy, and energized, and just plain good about myself. I ,too, would like my inner thighs to not rub together. :D

My non scale victory is the fact that I have found an activity that I feel like I could do for hours. The Wii Fit is my new best friend. I feel like it gives me a good work out. I'm hot and sweaty at the end and I have a lot of fun. What more could I ask for when it comes to exercise.

So today is my first official day at trying to lose weight... again, and this time I have a feeling it is going to happen for me!

3 Cheers for getting healthy!

First of all welcome Dove to the group. I am a new member and I absolutely love it. Everyone here is so supportive.

Thanks Sara for what you said. I know that I really need to not worry about this "fall" but it just seems to be taking me longer than I would have expected to get back on the wagon and that is very discouraging, but thing have been a little better.

This Weeks Topic:

The only person I really count on (if you can call it that) to keep me motivated to excersise is my husband. He doesn't do that great of a job, so I pretty much have to motivate myself, which I have a hard time with. God, I wish there was just a way to do it all. GRRRRR

PS: Congrats MsMeg for reaching your goal on the 5K. That's great!

I am so sorry everyone. I feel like I'm not being a very good team member here. It's just that after my vacation I've had a really hard time getting my "poop in a group" for lack of a better phrase. Well, as of yesterday things have been a little better. I ate really well and I felt better than I have in a long time and that feeling has continued through today, so I am hoping this means a fresh start. Cross your fingers for me please! :)

So here's to fresh starts, getting back on track and being healthy!

Sorry I went missing there for a little bit. After we got back from vacation things were a little hectic. And I was so dissapointed with myself that i didn't really want to face you all. I made horrible food choices on this trip. It's like as soon as we left I forgot all about making good choices with food and I didn't even pay attention to what I was putting in my mouth and I am very dissapointed with myself. It's also been really hard to get back in the swing of things and even being home hasn't really encouraged me to eat better, but hopefully being back to WJ's I'll do a little better. Thank you Sara, MsMeg, and Carryonandon for sending me messages to come and check in.

As for as my goal is concerned, I've been doing really good. We did a lot of excercising on vacation. A lot of walking I should say. But I need to start doing a lot more at home. What I like to do is go for a walk outside but the weather has been awful here lately (raining and cold all the time) so that has kind of been my excuse not to excerise. It's just that I don't have a back up plan for those days when I can't be outside. I can't do the gym (money is an issue with me and my husband) and so when the weather is bad i just don't do anything. Does anyone have any ideas. I'm so lost.

I'm so sorry but again this is going to be a short post. Getting ready for my vacation has been a little more time consuming that I thought it would be and I apologize for not being as active as I should be. When I get back though I promise I will be better.

Sara: I would like my 12 week goal to be excercising at least 3x a week if not more. I already do pretty good at drinking my water so the excercise is what i need to work on.

Well that's all I have time for. Everyone stay on track and I'll see you in 10 days!!!

I only have a couple seconds to post, and I just wanted to get my 12 week goals in here.

Excercise at least 3x a week, more if i can. Also Drink at least 2 litres of water a day.

I also wanted to let you know Sara that I am going on Vacation from April 9th through the 19th. So I won't be able to post. I'm sorry if it's too sort notice but this trip was kind spur of the moment.

I'll get back on later tonight with updates.

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be apart of this group. I've read through some of the past posts and you all seem like such great people. This is exactly what I need to reach my goals. So I thought I would start out with telling you all about myself. I'm 21 years old with a wonederful daughter and husband. Before I got pregnant in May of 2007 I managed to lose 25 lbs but put all that weight plus more with the pregnancy and I continued gaining after I had my daughter. Since September of last year I have lost about 24 lbs, which is very exciting but I still have a long way to go. About 36 lbs more.

This Weeks Topic

Staying motivated has always been my problem. I don't think I could count on my fingers and toes how many times I have been down this weight loss road and quit, but I am trying to stay determined this time. I've been trying for a while now to figure out some kind of system I could use to keep myself on track and haven't found anything that works so I would love to hear what you all have to say.

Thanks for letting me join!

One Day I Will

  • Feel not only comfortable, but sexy, getting naked in front of my husband.
  • Be able to go swimming, in PUBLIC, in a bikini.
  • Go to college to work with animals.
  • Find a kick ass job.
  • Teach my daughter to love her body by being a good example. This means I have to show her that I love mine.
  • Visit my birth city.
  • Travel overseas.
  • Save an animals life, even if it's only adopting it so it doesn't get euthanized.
  • Own my own house.
  • Lose all this obnoxious weight.
  • Be Healthy!

I Promise Myself I Will Never Again

  • Disagree with my husband when he calls me beautiful.
  • Eat a bunch of junk food and say it's because I don't want it in the house "tempting" me any more, when the real reason is because I just want to eat it.
  • Bite my cuticles until they bleed, or at all for that matter.

I Am Somewhat Embarrassed To Admit

  • I am 21 with a husband and a daughter and I live with my in-laws.
  • I don't have many friends. Maybe one. And I wish I had more.

Holy crap that felt good!

nutellabella: to answer your questions. I guess what really makes this hard is to see every one pouring syrup all over their pancakes (like this morning, but i do have to say i am proud of myself, we had pancakes and bacon i had one pancake and 2 pieces of bacon and i was done, and i was actually pretty full) or eating huge plates of nachos or mountains of candy, and then knowing that i cant have any of it and then they offer it to me fully knowing what i am trying to do. They probably would like it if i tried cooking i just don't think they would go for trying more healthy versions. i am able to buy my own fruits and veggies but i don't exactly know if i sould because we have 4 other people in this house besides me and my husband and my 2 brother in laws are pigs... no joke. and no i do not work. i am currently looking for work and taking care of my daughter.

sintiachita: i wish i could just go though the pantry and throw away all junk food. that would make this so much easier.

thermal: i totally agree about not being able to disagree unless DH thinks the same way. They might actually listen to him :)

Janay: things are going ok i guess. like i said in your PM i'm starting to learn to balance the bad with the not so bad with the healthy. it's hard but maybe it being so hard will make it all worth it in the end.
