could you possibly go to a women's clinic type place?
y'know, those places that give birth control for free or low cost or whatever..
because they could probably give you a check up anonymously and tell you about that pain

i believe brazil nuts are actually EXTREMELY healthy (correct me if i'm wrong) because of their high selenium content which makes them a complete protein. they contain a ton of amino acids, zinc, antioxidants, and good fat (unsaturated).

no problem, i hope i didnt sound like a complete deadbeat/bitch, but i know where you're coming from and i personally think it would be safest to not lose any weight. just focus on gymnastics and be healthy and in shape :D

i would say in your position, it would be harmful to lose any weight.
you say yourself that the reason you want to is because you are a competitive gymnast (warning light! that sport can be a breeding ground for eating disorders) and you want to feel better about yourself.. thats a bit risky, seeing as that is one way EDs are started. the mentality of "oh i'll just drop __ pounds". yeahh...
also, if you've gained 20 pounds, losing 10 is HALF of your weight gained during recovery.. not healthy.

so, this probably isn't what you want to hear, but your post does not lead me to believe that losing weight would be smart at all.

Young Calorie Counters Having one of those days Aug 30 2008
07:04 (UTC)
don't worry sweetie, we all have these days :]
just try to keep your chin and attitude up..
remember, today will pass soon enough and tomorrow is a brand new day with new feelings and opportunities!
you'd have to eat a lot of dinner to make up for your caloric needs, so just do the best you can, eat healthily, and dont feel pressure to add on unhealthy empty calories to make up.
being a bit low for one day won't devastate your body or anything.

and remember, you are beautiful :D

im not going to get my personal modeling in to this or anything, but i will note that i DO know loads about the industry, being part of it and all, and yeah the measurments/sizes in the original post are not exactly spot on. BUT what type of modeling are we talking about here? there are so many types.. editorial/high fashion, commercial, petite, fit model, plus size..
if we're talking about succesful models, no offense to tyra banks but she is way more succesful in her own eyes than in actuality lol. and you hardly see her, gisele, cindy, even heidi on high fashion runways nowadays. (yes, you may in victoria's secret fashion shows. no, those are not high fashion)
and not to be one to crush dreams, but any 5'5 girls pining over becoming runway girls do not have a likely chance. at all. it may suck to hear, but it's the reality.

Foods i love peanutbutter, but.. Aug 07 2008
05:18 (UTC)
i luvluvluv peanut butter!
obviously, ODing on it is a bit of a problem lol.
here's how i make it last longer..

I take about 1 tablespoon peanut butter and about 1 tablespoon yogurt and mix them both together thoroughly.. it really is a great way to make the PB last longer. It also makes it more spreadable!

You can use more or less of the PB and yogurt to your likings, and its soo good with vanilla yogurt (but you can use any flavor really.. and think of the possibilities! strawberry PB anyone?)

Of course, there are a million million parts to how diet/confidence/body image/etc all tie in together and play parts with each other... this is just something I've noticed at least in what I've seen, and everything everyone has said is really interesting! Age is probably a big factor.. I don't see many older adults obsessing over their weight the way I do girls my age!
