| Foods | How to make greek yogurt taste better (w/o sugar)? | Jan 08 2009 23:23 (UTC) |

If you want instant sweetness I'd stick in some Agave Nectar or Organic Honey, but my favourite way with Greek Yogurt to top with baked apple: slice up an apple, put under the grill with a teeny bit of honey drizzled over or just on its own, and then when they're softened put them ontop of the yogurt with a few sunflower seeds. Truly delicious! |

BREAKFAST: Porridge made with soy milk, with 4 dried apricots, sunflower seeds and a brazil nut. SNACK: Pink Lady Apple. LUNCH: Cheap supermarket vegetable soup, with added mixed frozen veg. SNACK: Handfull of yogurt coated raisins, a couple of almonds and peanuts.
Breaded haddock fillet, peas, sweetcorn and sauteed leek. A little ice cream after but ended up throwing most in the bin. |

That seems like a great deal! I'm London (and a member of Esporta) and paid approx. £700 for a year ($1000?), which seems a lot but the facilities are second to none. |

Dawn Porter (Images are of her nude but everythings covered up, so maybe a little NSFWish) Not sure if you guys in the US know of her yet but shes a journalist over here who has done a number of documentaries/shows on various topics, but mainly surrounding body image, women and diet. I think she has an gorgeous, normal body, is generally incredibly inspiring and an amazing role model. |

| My skin! My face used to have constant break outs and be very very bad, and since losing weight and eating 100 times better than before I'm actually getting compliments on my complexion! Also i used to suffer badly from eczema and now I'm watching what I eat (and also cutting out dairy) its better. | |||

| Well done you! Regarding time, when I went running on the actual beach down here, which is rocky not sandy, it added about 10 minutes to my time and KILLED my legs! You have to work a lot harder, I'll tell you that! So that could be it, along with the wind, its crazy here today. Anyway, um, I didn't go today. Went out last night for the first time in a while and was having too much fun and didn't get to bed til after 3, so I wasn't in the best state when I woke up this morning. I went for a walk instead, which is acceptable for a Sunday I think :P |

| Well run No.3 was yesterday morning, 7.30am, with overeager housemate in tow (He keeps saying to me 'Are we going tomorrow? Huh? Huh? Can we?'). Was having a few problems with my asthma for some reason, sometimes it just happens, it was quite foggy and sometimes just a change in air can trigger me off, so I didn't do quite as well as usual but I still did it. Next time is Sunday I think, or Saturday because my parents are visiting on Sunday and I want to be alert for them! Haha. Didn't go this morning because I REALLY needed an extra 45 minutes in bed, and I have work later which is pretty exhausting in itself lol who'd be a waitress? Ah well, I'm a slave for the tips. I'm so pleased to hear everyones getting on well! Not sure if I'm as excited as you are about the impending 2 minute runs though, Dee, haha! |

| My favourite for everyday use is Alpro Soya Unsweetened, its just lovely and doesn't have that funny aftertaste I've had with some. My favourite, um, 'other', is Alpro Chocolate...ohhh God, so good. I've drank an entire carton in an hour before now. Not one of my finest moments, I must say. | |||

| Yay! More people! Second day, still aching from Sunday but trucked on, with one best friend in tow! He enjoyed it a lot, he's very slender and tall so while I stuck to my regime, he kept on running ahead and having to wait for me lol I will not be bullied into running further than I should be by a boy! Anyway, I think I did well, just really hoping my shins will recover for another go on Thursday, it was quite sore at some points today. |

The more the merrier! I hope it works for you guys too! :] Dee, I had a more 'I'm going to die' feeling when I got back, but then I felt the high and it was wonderful! I'm not sure when I'll be able to go next, I need to work it out because I don't like running past 9am because it gets busier out but I have quite a few early classes, but I'm going to try Tuesdays and Thursdays this week and see how it pans out. Just washed my sweaty gym top ready for a second go tomorrow! Haha. My legs ache a bit today, but thats only to be expected. I remember once I forced myself to run 5 minutes at a time (I was in no way prepared for it) and the next day I literally couldn't move, I had to send my best friend out of the room when I was there because when he made me laugh I'd be in agony! Never again lol! |

| I went out last Monday to a cocktail bar because I'd had a miserable weekend and needed a cheering up. I was scared of the dreaded drunken binging that would almost certainly occur when I got home, but it never came! The only thing I can put it down to is the fact that my drinks were all fruit juice based, cranberry, pinapple, apple etc. So while the drinks were definitely not low cal, I think the fruit juice stopped me feeling hungry! Usually when I go out I drink soda as a mixer, and I'm always hungry when I get home. | |||

| WELL! Its 8.40am here and I just got back from my run! Thanks to THIS amazing site I worked out that my favourite walking circuit along the seafront and back to my house was exactly 3 miles, so I left at 7.45am and got started! I must say, I felt a little less than enthusiastic about it when I woke up this morning, I had really bad cramps, but I said to myself that I'd only do as much as my body wanted to, and I could go back at any point, so I didn't pressure myself like I usually do. I also heard that a little light excercise actually relieves cramping so I was all up for that! And it has :] My route took 45 minutes, and I managed to stick to the 'walk 3 - run 1' regime, which was actually fine. Yay! So now I'm going to go take a shower and get a cup of tea inside me! Colby, I'm REALLY glad its warming up too, I even wore gloves this morning but didn't really need them which I was glad of. Good luck starting at Level 2, but if you think you might struggle theres no point pushing yourself too hard, why don't you start off your first run at Level one and then if you're finding it quite managable try doing the rest of it level 2? Kudos though, I couldn't do it just yet! :] Good luck |

Had a pretty bad day, I don't like Saturdays when its nice outside but I should be doing uni work, so I've been on a bit of a downer. I've also got PMS which isn't helping :( went for a walk in the afternoon which helped, but I ended up getting back and eating some bread (I try and avoid bread) and baking a cake this evening for some reason. I love baking, it calms me so much, but its a pretty stupid love to have when you're on a diet. I actually hardly ever eat the things I bake. Anyway, its a Hummingbird Cake (banana and pineapple), I only cut myself a very small square, which I only ate half of, but I still feel really fat and down about it. The day started off okay though, found out I'd lost another lb (144 now), but I've probably put that back on now! I hope everyone else has had a better day than me! |

| No its not! You just had a little slip up, everyone does! And it isn't even that bad considering you went to the gym beforehand! I just went for a brisk walk for about 90 minutes, came back and ate two slices of my date and cranberry bread (quite high cal), so now I feel pretty guilty but I keep telling myself 'At least it was after a big walk!', so you have even less reason to feel guilty! Please don't stress sweetie, at least now you know how crappy it makes you feel afterwards so if you stick to your diet and excercise you're less inclined to do it again, theres nothing worse than feeling guilty. |

I've found out that my normal running route is exactly 3 miles which has made me so happy because I didn't think it was that much! Thank you so much for that link, Stan! | |||

| Kim, I assume thats what it means! Dee, I was thinking of going running tomorrow morning but I'm so hard on myself when I can't run for more than a couple of minutes at a time, so reading this has helped so much! I'm not sure how far 3 miles would be for me, but i might go for a walk today and figure it out. I hate not driving! Haha. And by Sunday 9th I guess you mean tomorrow, Sunday 11th? Good luck! |

Since losing weight my tummy got very saggy and just kind of hung over my trousers, which is almost as depressing as having a big stomach over there. I've found that doing pilates has helped tone my stomach up a lot more, so theres a bit less excess skin, although of course theres still some there. Its great because even only doing 5 quick excercises/moves before bed time can help, and its so easy that you don't need to worry about making too much time for it. I would also reccommend maybe buying a swiss ball and learning some excercises for that, the sit ups are REALLY good for stomachs and legs. |

| Weight Loss | How long does it take you to eat one meal? | Mar 10 2007 15:22 (UTC) |

| It depends what I'm eating. A big family dinner will take me about 45minutes to an hour, although then I'm usually conscious of how fast others are eating and slow down. Breakfast is usually 10 minutes, Lunch 20 and dinner about half an hour to 40 minutes. I'd like to eat slower because I'd probably eat less, but I also have a problem throwing food away so I'd end up eating it anyway :P | |||

Hey everyone, only JUST seen this thread! I'm 5'4" and started CC at the end of Feb at 148lbs, and now I'm 144 :] I want to get down to 139 by my Easter break (end of March), and in the long run 130lbs. As for my diet habits, I lost about 28lbs in 2004/5 by doing the GL diet and have managed to keep it off by eating only 1400 cals a day, now my body is very used to only consuming that much so I had stopped losing weight, despite the fact i think I still have a good 15lbs to drop. Now I'm doing CC I try and eat 1000 - 1200 cals a day, but sometimes its more or sometimes I come up short. As for excersice I've been doing half an hour of pilates every night or morning, which seems to be toning my stomach and top of my thighs already, and walk at least 2 hours a day due to university, or more when I'm at work (I'm a waitress). I also jog occasionally because its such a beautiful thing to do here by the sea, but my asthma seems to hold me back a lot. I've kept meaning to go into the 130/140 thread but its so huge I don't know where to begin! Which is why I'm in here lol. |

I'm not sure which image you could use, but if you have a picture or photo you love or find inspirational/motivational, this site is wonderful. It pixelates images and blows them up to wall-size for you, which you then print off and stick up! This is the photo my flatmates and I had on our wall last year, it was definitely a talking point among our friends and it never failed to cheer us up :] (thats me on the right) |

| I'm 5'4" and have quite a small frame, so I don't wear 145lbs terribly well. I'd love to get down to about 135 and see how it feels before I decide to go any lower. I love having curves and a cute tummy, i don't want to be skinny, ideally a size 10 - 12 (UK) on the bottom, 8 - 10 ontop (I have an odd body) but I just need more definition and toning, as well as to shift a few more pounds. | |||

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
