Seems like there are a lot of other new comers  in this forum along with myself, feels good to know I'm not alone.

Well I'm on Day 4 and so far so good.  I know it's still very early into the change in foods I'm now intaking, but I do feel good about the path I'm leading myself down.

Last night I had a big test, my brother is visiting me from Florida and he wanted to get food from a local sub shop that he misses going to.  So he gets this delicious looking italian sub and is eating it in front of me while watching tv.  He offers me some, I politely decline, and instead proceed to grill some turkey breast for dinner.  I have a feeling the more I get used to turning unhealthy stuff down, the easier it will get in time.

Thanks for the encouraging words.  An elliptical machine is a good choice, I'm hoping to get a treadmill eventually.  It's so much easier doing that stuff at home than having to go to a gym.  If the weather was warmer here I would be out walking/jogging everyday.

Good afternoon, I just registered on calorie count today as well and this looked like a good thread to start posting in.  I've been hovering around 210 - 220 for some time now and finally reached a point mentally where things need to change.

Currently I'm at 212 and just started the new diet this past Monday.  It's not gonna be easy, but I'm hoping to drop about 40.  So I look forward to chatting with everyone on here.
