| Thanks everyone!!! It seems so silly when you write out the question....it really is just this silly thing i'm worried about. my first and foremost of course is keeping our baby healthy -- and i do adore my husband...its just an old old issue, and i've never been in the position where i needed to confront someone learning my weight....and i think, although silly, it just really threw me for a loop..... |

| don't feel bad!! its not your fault!! but, is there some science involved? am i not losing faster because i've had those cheats? and, now, if i still want to lose, would you suggest going off phase 1, or should i stick with it for awhile?? |

| Hi Everyone! I've been gone all week...but knew it was time for the weekly, so here i am! I'm down one pound...that's it!!!! I'm so frusterated....I feel like I'm trying so hard, and in phase one...almost at two weeks, i've only lost 6 pounds... I've had some little cheats...has that kicked me off the cycle? is the only way to really have phase one work for you is to do it completely clean? this is my typical day for food: egg beaters and 3 pieces turkey bacon salad (with tom...are they allowed??) olive oil & vinegar, turkey deli meat 10-15 almonds salad, and some meat (chicken, salmon, steak) for dinner oh...and sugar free jello for dessert. but i have had some cheats...two cocktails (over the two weeks), corn on the cob, some popcorn, and a weight watchers ice cream bar.... if i stay on phase one will it keep me going?? is there any reason to go to !! other than food boredom?? need advice! i got all revved up by getfit - i was so excited to lose, and its just going so slow... i'm not working out...is that it??? thanks everyone!!! |

| Hi Everyone!!! I'm a terrible thread mate! My world's been so crazy that I haven't been here to visit - everyone is so motivating!! I need to come more!! ok...my stats...(I'm changing my start date, cause remember...i started that day, but ended it with cocktails, etc....not a rolicking good start by any means...) but my better start (still struggling with some cheats...had some apple butter on my pork tenderloin the other night....and pickles-i'm sure there is sugar in that...) anywho...i guess it gives me more goals!! starting date: Aug 24 starting weight:215 current weight: 210 goal weight: 160 i was sort of hoping for more...but, i guess one step at a time! i tried on my dress the other day....it fits, and looks nice....but would love to have a little more room in it.... |

| Hi Everyone!! I've missed so much! Our weekends are so crazy b/c of the wedding - and working on the business (which is what we did ALL weekend....i'm burnt out!) but today, i'm back to my 9-5 and just checked in and saw all the happenings!!! It looks like its been rollercoasters for some....and even keel for others (suppose that's always the case!) but what i think is so great to witness is how supportive you all are of one another....its amazing!! you've built such a support system here.... I'm game for the weigh-in...I'm day 4 and down four pounds....its so funny, i look in the mirror right, and swear i see 4 pounds gone...and then laugh at myself, cause i know its going to take more than 4 to get me where i want to go...oh well, i'm on my way.... best of luck to everyone!!! i'm so inspired by all of you!!! |

| Thanks for the welcome!! i'm lisa - and am in new york and am 32. you guys have a great thread! and yesterday was my first day...which started out STRONG. i was doing great - avoiding krispy kremes and left over ice cream cups at work....then i got home, and i had a couple of weak moments....dinner was fine (turkey sausage and peppers, i skipped the bun) but we have this bag of kettle corn that's left over from this festival, and i had some of that, then i shared a drink (vodka tonic) with a friend.... i think it was that i was taken off guard - not ready for the temptation - b/c we had friends over unexpectedly for dinner....and it was like i wasn't ready/able to say no, hopefully today will be better!!! |

| oooohhh.... i'm totally motivated!!! but, i have to tell you....its almost two....this morning, i had egg beaters and two pieces of turkey bacon. i had ten almonds as mid-morning, and then for lunch had a turkey salad....and i'm sort of hungry...i may just be craving though....egad - there's donuts, ice cream and candy around every corner of my office....but so far so good.... and now i'm motivated!!! is fifteen pounds average to lose in the first phase?? what's typical to expect??? |

| that's so motivating!!!! you've lost 25 lbs in six weeks!!! that's amazing!! honestly, if i lose 15lbs in two months i'll be thrilled! how did it come off (mostly in phase one??) do you work out?? i use to be sooooo good about working out, but lately i've been awful!! we recently bought a house we're renovating, are trying to start a small business, and still each work full time, and plan the wedding...i know EXCUSES, EXCUSES....but i do need to find a way to work it in again...at least 30 minutes a day..... |

you could have sf jello/fudgcicles for phase 1....this may not be so

| thank you for the welcomes!!! here's my thoughts...i really do usually eat pretty healthy...we do whole grain pasta, whole wheat bread...lean meat...all that stuff. my major problems foodwise...i think...is that i eat sweets. all the time. my office has candy in it...i always eat it... so my diet for meals and stuff is pretty good - usually 1/2 cup of oatmeal with blueberries (although i put a lot of blueberries in there) then lunch i usually do a healthy choice meal (i know they aren't nutritious, but its easy) then dinner, i try to do a recipe from cooking light.... But throughout the day, i eat candies....oh, and if we eat out (not too often, but maybe once a week) i eat bad - apps, cocktails, dinner.... so, i'm just trying to figure it all out, and see what will work for me - i know i need to kick my sugar habit, so i thought sb - and i want to lose weight b/f i start having a family - b/c if i have fifty pounds to lose now...if you add on baby weight, it will be all the more difficult! |

| Hi Everyone... so...I'm new....and thinking about trying SB. And, well, i guess technically (although its only a quarter of ten) i've started my first day.... so, let me know if i have the basics? for phase one...lean meats, nuts (good kinds, almonds, etc), and lots of green veggies and no corn, potatoes, ...can you have tomatos??? lots of water....creamer in my coffee?? i'm getting married in two months, and just want to a. kick my annoying sugar habit - i'm out of control!!! and b. drop some weight....i'm determined not to put pressure on myself, and become one of those crazy brides, but if it happens....that would be lovely!!! can you guys let me know what to expect? i'm 5-8, 215, and my ultimate goal would be 160-ish....(obviously not in two months...but down the road!) Thanks - any and all advice is appreciated!!! |
