| Doing fine here, lost 1 1/2 pounds for my weight in today. Yippeee!! Don't worry about the jello, it will be ok. I personally, dropped all sweets and sugar. I'm using Splenda in my coffee, ext. I also stopped all carbs. I needed a boost of weight lose, and I got it. I eat eggs and bacon in the morning, tuna salad wrapped with lettuse in afternoon, meat and cheese, or salad with meat on top. Then I have hamburger, chicken, or red meat with veggies for dinner. It's working, I'm not snackng during the day, because I'm actually full from the protein. And I'm burning the fat, instead of sugar and carbs. It's working, and I'm going to stay with it for awhile. Just need to get 15 pounds off, than I'll go to a healthy carb diet for the rest of the 20 pounds. It's not that hard, just needed a couple of days to adjust. I'll update my progress. Take care and keep trying. You're all worth it. | |||

| I was so motivated this morning, but had two eggs w/cheese, canadian bacon.....not bad, but not good. So mid morning, I snacked on fruit and walnuts, to big a portion. So I thought I ruined my day, but decided to have Dannon's fit and light yogurt for lunch. It only has 60 calories. Guess what? It worked, and haven't snacked yet. And not going to, so I'll be under my calorie count. What a relief!! Good Luck to you all to!! | |||

| I would like to be part of this. I binged on Chocolate cookies today. Not happy with myself. I did get rid of all snack food in house. But had to make cookies to serve guest. Lots of cookies were left.........I was the cookie monster. I feel horrible now, but will start over. I'm so bad. LOL | |||

| marlasinger..... I snacked way to much also. NO EXCUSES!! i'M JUST OUT OF CONTROL! But I'm very proud of myself, because I've done alot of wonderful changes. And you should feel proud to. So we'll get the snack binges in control soon enough, it takes awhile. We still are winners. Just take one day at a time. I actually had the green monster on my back today. My friend for at least nine years, called, haven't heard from her in awhile. She lost 20 pounds in two months. Something her doctor put her on, she eats six fiber cookies during the day, and a healthy dinner. At first, I was very jealous. But once I got off the phone, I realized, that I should be happy for her, and just stick to my healthier weight loss plan. I'll get there. But must stop eating snacks. LOL My plan teaches me long life lessons of eating, and most likely won't gain it back. So go girl!!
Night.............Just do your best, sounds like you have things in control. And I'm also addicted to writing food down. I love to see the calories and charts, telling me what I'm doing right or wrong.I've learned so much. I'm sure you'll be happy with your results for your trip to Panama City. My husband gave me a new long term goal. Since we can't go to Brazil this year, he's taking me to Costa Rica in November for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. He's so wonderful. We're nature nuts, and love the ocean. So I'm so excited. Plus I have the challenge to save for it also. Cool!! Take care |

| oh.I forgot to say, I would love your dvd's, if no one else asked for them. They say, to do diffenent ones, so you don't get bored. Our rainy season will start in about a month or so. So it will be hard for me to go out and walk. So the dvd's are great. My email is in my profile page. | |||

| Good Afternoon Avesha.......I workout on dvd's. I'm now doing the "you diet" dvd with Joel Harper. I liked it so much, I just ordered his other one, "Fitpack". And I went walking to target, and bought the dvd "Dancing with the Stars" Cardio. I was tickled to see it. I love that show. And they teach dance moves also. So I'm very excited about trying that one. | |||

| Your welcome marlasinger......I decided to walk to Target this afternoon. It's absolutely the most beautiful weather. It's only 1 mile away, but it was good. Except they had flamingo dishes and serving trays for really cheap, and I'm a flamingo nut. So I bought them and carried it all back. LOL oh well.......
Night......Did your wife make the meal from a recipe book? Because I do most of the cooking and my recipe books have the calorie counts and all the other info. You should ask your wife next time. Unless she's a cooking whiz....and cooks without a book. If so, you're very lucky. LOL I've also upped my water intake. I'm now drinking 70 ounces a day. But someone said to drink half your body weight. So I'm suppose to drink 101 ounces. OML.....I'll see. |

| A question is never a dumb question. You measure around to the center of your belly button. And the dvd's are working, that's why I bought his other one. Plus if you only have time for five minute workout, he has mini sessions. And he said to just do them here and there throu out the day. He's so motivating. If your interested......Go to www.fitpackdvd.com Talk to you later | |||

| What a shock marla.......I've been so down, because of hardly any weight lost. Then I read a thread here, that told us to measure ourselves. I lost 2 inches in my waist. It's so weird! So hopefully, I'll start to see weight loss soon. I've been doing a exercise tape with Joel Harper. It's from the "You Diet waste management"book, and I bought his dvd. Today I bought his other dvd, "FitPack". So I'm going to stick to those exercises.
Don't beat yourself up, and don't be mad at yourself.......just start again. You can't fail, just start over. That's the beauty of it all. LOL |

| Hey Kristine........I'm in the same boat. I really lost it this weekend, actually on Saturday. I want to see the scale move, and it won't. My hubby suggested that I try the atkins diet, I did it for a few hours. Felt horrible. My daugther called, and I told her how frustrated I was, and she told me not to do the atkins diet, but to continue what I was doing. Because it was healthy and teaching me good lifetime eating habits. She's a Family Medicine Doctor, so I agreed with her, and I'm back on track. I went to the mall to look for a new dress for Sunday Mass. I tried on the 16's, and they wouldn't fit. I was in shock, and cried. 16's always fit me. So I went on a spiral downfall. But picked myself up, and will listen to my daughter, and not give up.
Katydid22........don't beat yourself up. You had a fun day, so just start again. Forget yesterday, and take one day at a time. I need to take my own advice. LOL |

| Welcome Bree......glad to have someone else to speak with.
That is a hard one marlasinger......I also went and had lunch with family after church. They picked Wings Plus in Coral Srpings. They didn't have a website. So I just found something in the search engine, that i thought was close. I actually did well, I only had the small order of wings and celery, and a wee bit of dressing. I was under my calorie count for the day. Yippee. So just try to do a close comparison. But on the negative note........did really bad yesteday. I have such a hard time on the weekends. Plus I was upset when I was trying on cloths at the mall. Instead of smaller sizes, I could'nt fit into larger size. It was a bummer, and I crashed. But picked myself up today. Take care everyone! |

| Nightc1.......it's good to let yourself enjoy fun food once in awhile. I wouldn't be able to lose weight, if things were so restrictive. I do believe in goals, it keeps me motivated. I think 180 is a very good weight for your size. I'm 6ft also, and I looked pretty darn good at 180. LOL But I'm shooting for 165, I was there when I was early 30's. So i think it's duable. I was 140 when my husband met me. I think I was a bit to thin. I like more curves. So have fun losing and a wonderful time in Panama City. Beautiful white sands, I love it there. I live by the beach in Deerfield Beach, south of Boca Raton. I feel very lucky, except when those pesky hurricanes come around. LOL You'll have great new pictures to share. I'm going to be a grandmother this June, and I'm determined not to look like one, and to be fit. I'm very excited about it. Take care | |||

| Thank you marlasinger and nightc1, you're both very nice to offer. I'll take you up on it, when I get stuck. I had a big disappointment today, so I'm treating myself to Papa Johns garden pizza tonight for dinner. Don't worry, I will fit it into my calarie count. One of my biggest motivation to lose weight, and just flown the coup. My husband and I were suppose to go to Brazil for a wedding. Plus a week in Rio in September, after the wedding.(Wedding was rescheduled for next Spring) I bought a bikini that was a size 12. In the past, I would've gotten a pint of chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. I'm amazed, that I had no desire to do that. I'm getting healthy for life. But we're going to California this coming July for a wedding at Nestldown in LosGatos, so I'll do my best for that. It's just so soon, and no need of a bathing suit. just staying four days. Actually three, fourth day is flying back home to South Florida. I'll just have to find another long term goal. It's got to be in November. Maybe we'll figure out something, it is our 30th wedding anniversary Nov. 17th. So we'll see. Just sharing......life is good. So I won't let it get to me. I feel blessed, just a bit dissappointed. | |||

| I feel so happy for you Avesha........I decided not to weight myself, but only once on Mondays. I had such a good week, that I started weighting myself every morning for the past three days. It wasn't a good idea. One morning a few days ago, I showed that I was down to 202, then the following days, 205, back to 204, and stuck. It put me in a spiral mode. I almost went and bought a chocolate cake. But my will power over came it, hooray. So only Mondays for now on. It was probably just water weight. Please keep posting, I need you all. | |||

| Hi All.......I've been down on myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm eating well, exerising, staying below calorie's. But not losing the weight. So I feel so upset about it. I need to see some pounds coming off, so I can feel rewarded for my hard work. And I so want to be under the 200 mark. I know I'm not being patient, but please, I just want a bone........I'll keep coming in here for support. I know you all understand. But feeling so frustrated. | |||

| I'm using the food journal myself. I was shocked at the high calorie counts of foods. What an education! It took me about a month or so, to figure out how to use it properly. But now I finally understand. I am frustrated, that I'm not having weight loss to brag about. My hubby told me, that I was just being impatient. So holding my head up high, and tracking it all. I'm still confused about calorie count, and activity points. And I think I wasn't losing weight, because I wasn't eating enough, if that makes any sense. I've been doing so well, with healthy foods, no sugar, and not even eating red meat. But I'm going to make it | |||

| Way to go Avesha....I'm so proud of you. You are now under the 200 mark, how wonderful. Getting under 200, is such a mental battle, but you made it. I think I'll get there by Monday, I'll sure to post, I'm 202 now, weighted my self yesterday. I just finished power walking on the beach this morning, it's a good thing. Really bad storm moving in, and they said it will rain tonight, when I usually walk. So I got it in, just in time. It's starting to get in the high 80's, which is not fun to walk in. I loved the beautiful weather of 70's. Oh well, I'll have to go very early in the morning, just hate waking up at 6:00am to go walk.
I wish I could run, but to much weight, and my breast are big. Maybe in a few months I'll give it a try. Have another wonderful day!! |

| Amarnatt.......have you looked on line about what to do with the loose skin. I'm sorry, but I don't have a clue on that. Maybe you should ask your doctor.
I agree with avesna.......don't beat yourself up. You obviously used food to get through a stressful time. I have one healthy suggestion. Don't eat Special K with Strawberries, it's bad for carbs and sugar, and can send you on a bhing. Plus it doesn't have enough fi ber. If you ate steel cut oatmeal with some fruit on top, or bran cereal, it will keep you full until Lunch. Plus get a healthy snack between breakfast and lunch, like an apple or something. And believe me, I've beaten myself up enough. I'm 51 now, and want my figure when I was in my 20's. It ain't going to happen. But I'm going to be so much healthier than I was then, because I'm learning to eat healthy. And I'm feeling great. So don't beat yourself up, just educate yourself on what you eat. And we're in this together, everyone in here. |

I didn't like being tall when I was young, but now I'm very grateful. I'm the envy of many woman. Don't wish you were shorter, hold your head up high, wear high heels with pride, and make them envious. |

| Happy Monday to you Avesha and to all my fellow Amazons. I also made it through Easter, and did not lose motivation. I had a very good day today, so I'm feeling so proud and motivated. I forgot about the Easter cake and Ice cream I ate. And the Ham with all the trimmings. I got up first thing this morning and power walked on the beach for 45 mins. It was a beautiful morning, then later in the afternoon , I did my strenght exercises from a dvd. So I feel so pumped and movitivated. And staying below my calories today, really gave me the boost I needed. So I just have to take one day at a time, and just do it. Yeaaa!! | |||
