2006 was the year I discovered racquetball and also the year that I decided to get back into shape.  My high school career (i am currently in my first year at university) was riddled with injuries, including two knee surgeries that had be wheelchair bound for four months.

In September, I went to the student rec center and picked up a racquetball racquet with a girl friend of mine and just fooled around in a court.  The couch for the racquetball team was looking for girls and grabbed virtually every girl he could find to try and train up for the team.  He grabbed me, and I am the only one of the bunch still going three times a week.

I ended up making the team, and am in better shape than ever this 2007.  The only thing I am struggling with is weight.

My goal is to loose another 17 pounds (so i can slip back into 10s and 12s, although finding pants long enough for a six foot tall frame is difficult enough) and be able to run the court without dying.  So far I am doing fairly well and feeling accomplished but I have a long way to go!

I spent four months in a wheel chair and have gone from around 170 pounds to 200 at my peak.  At 6 feet tall, I would like to get back down below that mark, and currently I have been hitting around 195 right out of the pool.  My only issue is I am not sure how much I should be eating.  I swim most morning for at least thirty minutes and I am on the racquetball team which practices about 12 hours a week plus tournaments and me going in by myself.  At the moment, I am aiming for 175, but I would be ok with just hitting 180.
