| Health & Support | antipersp stick = swollen nodes? | Jul 29 2007 21:08 (UTC) |
|
| I have had this problem also...I also thought it was a lumb in my armpit due to Breast Cancer when I first discovered it. (As breast cancer run's in my family) However when I went to the doctor I was told it was my lymph nodes that were swollen. He told me it was from two causes one could be deodorant blocking the pores and causing the infection but that the main one was the razor I was using to shave under my armpits. I find that I am more prone to them becoming infected if I use a razor with more then one blade...like the one's we women use on our legs. I have found that if I use a simple disposable razor with only one blade that I can cut my infections down by almost 50%. I have to shave more often but its worth it for not having to under go the pain of swellen lymph nodes. Hope this helps you a little bit and I would tell you that if this dosn't help to go see a doctor and have it looked at. When I did this I was told that by having surgery to remove the problem lymph node that it would help with the infections. |

| Motivation | Is anyone out there 5'8"? | May 31 2007 05:12 (UTC) |

| Hi everyone I am 23 years old and I'm 5'8'' tall. My current weight is 177 with a goal of 160 by September 1st (My birthday). I started out the end of March at 190lbs so I'm down 13lbs since then and I feel great, I am losing the weight in order to be healthier so I can start my family with my wonderful husband. For every pound I lose I know that I'm that much closer to my goal weight and to starting that family, plus the look on my husbands face when I lose another two pounds is worth it all. It is letting him know that I care for him and I want to have his children. So if there is anything I can do to help anyone I would love to help. Good luck to all. |

| I know this might sound weird and sick but when ever you are constipated and don't want to take a laxative (Some tend to cause major stomach cramps...ouch) just take out the olive oil and drink 2 to 3 tablespoons. Yah drink! I know it sounds nasty but it really works! Within about 2 hours you will be in the bathroom and all your problems with be gone. | |||

| Thank everyone for your replies and suggestions, I am going to look into the Ionic Minerals. I have only had the twitching twice last week and I haven't had any this week so I'm thinking that it has something to do with when Im over tired or have stayed up to late and my body is tired. I think that my exercise routine has something to do with it also. But again thanks again for everyones help. |

| Health & Support | cold hands/feet??? | Apr 06 2007 18:45 (UTC) |

| I don't have any medical explanation for this but I also have the same problem with my hands and mostly my feet being cold. My husband also thinks I'm crazy I am constantly saying that my feet are cold. I have just recently moved from Michigan where its cold most of the year to California where the weather is wonderful all the time and I still have the same problem so I don't think its related to the weather. The only way I have been able to keep them warm is by keeping socks on my feet all the time or a blanket near by. Good luck and if its really bothering you it wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor about it the next time your in the office. |

| Fitness | Joints cracking... | Mar 26 2007 18:16 (UTC) |

| First are you making your bones crack? Example like when you crack your knuckles. Or are they cracking when you are working out or just walking? Cause if thats the case it might not be your bones but it might be your tendons. Alot of the times when you hear a crack or pop people think its there bones but its actually you tendons moving back to there original position. Either way I would be careful if it is your bones because you can wear away the cartilage between your joints and then you would be rubbing bone or bone....ouch!! I know from my own experience that my poping is my tendons and I have found that doing squats and anything to strengthen my knees is working for me. | |||
| Motivation | My Husband Noticed a difference! | Mar 22 2007 18:24 (UTC) |

| I am going through a simular situation. My husband isn't in the Military but I still remember the look on his face when I got on the scale and had lost 5Lbs. The smile on his face was worth all of the hard workouts and counting counting in the world. I hope he stays like that through the rest of my weight loss, it makes getting up in the morning and going to the gym 5 days a week a little bit easier knowing that he is supporting me. | |||
| Motivation | I got full and I stopped eating! yippee ;) | Mar 20 2007 18:03 (UTC) |
|
| I have recently noticed the same thing myself. I started my new diet two weeks ago and the last few days I've realized that I can't finish the food on my plate even though they are the right portions. Last night I had uncle ben's brown rice which is a 170 cal for 1 cup and I couldn't finish it all, I think I left more then half on the plate. I also had a 1/2 chicken breast and a salad but still couldn't finish all of the chickenn or rice. I felt full and if I would have finished it I would have been sick. So I have to say hurray I'm not hungry anymore also. Its amazing to be able to eat dinner and feel satisfied at night and not want to eat the junk food like usual. | |||
