| Get in touch with an acedemic counselor at your school. They will be able to tell you what is better in the world of transcripts. | |||

| I believe in donating whenever/however I can, but I usually don't give to the people standing outside of stores. I'd rather be educated the organization I am giving money to before handing it over.
On the other hand there is always a big ole drop box for non perishible food items to go to our local food bank outside of my favorite grocery store and I absolutely love it. I am getting ready to move cross country and I am going to drop off all my extras there. |

| My favorite is the fresh fruit too. All you have to do is cut it up and people eat it all up. I like to take fresh pineapple or a watermelon.
Or maybe you could find a cole slaw recipe that has more of a vinegar base than a mayo one? |

| The parts of my weekend that I am most excited about are just hanging out with my boyfriend and then sleeping in the next day. I will likely only sleep until 9, but it is still better than 6.
Oh, and I am going to go see how the produce is coming in at the farmer's market. |

| Only a small amount of the alcohol cooks off in a recipe. If all of it cooked off it would leave your food completely dried out. It is a myth that it all cooks out. | |||

| With things like this it is all in how you phrase it.
"I am very interested in this position and should I be selected I would be happy to start in two weeks to give my current employer ample time to fill my position." sends a very different message about who you are than: "When you give me the job I am going to need two weeks before I start because I am required to give notice." The first one conveys that you are interested in the job, you think you are a good candidate, you are confident, and you value doing the right thing for your current employer (and therefore are less likely to screw over future employers as well). The second one seems overly confident and like you don't care at all about your current job which isn't a good message to put out. I don't know how your conversation went. Just remember that the way you phrase the same sentiment can convey very different messages to the listener. |

Are you in counseling? I really think you need professional help to try to get your thinking back on track. From the comments you listed it is clear that people are telling you how good you look and that you don't look sickly anymore. Why does it matter what you weigh really if you are healthy and look healthy? Trust that these people are telling the truth when they say you look good. |

Nowadays they make incredibly cute messenger bags that have a specific pocket for your laptop that are well padded and then still have the normal space for random storage. I absolutely think that it is worth spending the money for a decent computer bag in order to preserve an expensive computer. Timbuk2.com has some bags that I just love. They are a really high quality bag that holds up to heavy use. They are also kinda expensive, but I am sure there is no shortage of knock offs on the internet. |

It is good that you are stepping back and seeing things from the outside. Have you tried finding something that the two of you could do together as an activity? Maybe you could find a few creative classes (drawing or some type of art sounds like a good choice) and see if there is one that he would like to do with you. If so set a level that his math grade needs to be in order for you two to enroll. It might be a good motivator, a way to spend time together and a way to help him develop that is actually interesting to him. I also agree with lacey that you shouldn't be afraid to talk to him about it. Kids know that adults make mistakes. What upsets kids more is that they feel like adults aren't accountable for their mistakes in the way that kids are. Good luck and don't worry too much. I am sure you are a great father! |

| While I don't support being the type of girl that harasses a guy, I don't think it hurts to call him a day later. I think it is ridiculous when people say that the girl shouldn't be the one to make contact in the beginning. If you never call him how is he supposed to know that YOU are interested in HIM? If he is a little on the shy side and he is not sure if you like him, failing to ever attempt contact could be seen as disinterest. | |||

I had a friend put out a bulletin on myspace that she was in the hospital and freaking out a little and needed some support. She said that she had her laptop with her so she would be online. I messaged her to find out where she was and found out it was an April Fool's joke. I guess I would have found it funnier if I didn't work in the hospital in view of the ED where I see the constant flow of people in need. |

Original Post by vmcbutterfly:I think your backlash is out of line. People spend a lot of money on their groceries. Is it too much to ask to put all the frozen stuff together in one bag and to not put bleach or toxic items in the same bag with my produce? Is it too much to not put frozen items that are going to get wet with condensation in the same bag with items like a newspaper that gets destroyed if wet? If you are worked to the point where you do not have time do your job appropriately, blame your management for understaffing, NOT the customer. All that most people here are saying is that they don't want the items they are spending their hard earned money on to be damaged before they leave the store. There are lots of grocery stores in the city I live in, but only one where I can always count on the staff to show a bit of respect for my items. Surprisingly they are also the most fast and efficient store in the area and I've never had to wait behind more than one person to check out. I don't go anywhere else. I wish more stores followed this store's business model. They also pay their employees several dollars an hour more than other stores for comparable jobs and have affordable health insurance for full and part time employees. They treat their staff well so their staff treats their customers well so the customers keep returning. |

I am totally a belt organizer too. I also put my heavy items up first so the more fragile items don't get mashed. My biggest pet peeve is the produce abusers. I have a very limited income and because I value my health I am willing to spend a little more money to get high quality foods. Fresh produce can be expensive. I don't have enough money to buy produce for the bagger boy or cashier to slam around and bruise before I even get it home. I am not saying you have to move produce like priceless antiques. I am just saying, don't slam it down and then throw canned goods on top of it! |

| Foods | Lamb Sausage PLEASE HELP quuiick | Mar 27 2008 21:24 (UTC) |
|
| Lamb is typically a leaner meat. That said, with all ground meat/sausage the amount of fat in it depends mostly on how much fat was added to the grind by whoever made it. There is not really a way to know this. I think I would try it, but i love lamb!
Don't be afraid to enlist the help of your server. Tell them that you aren't in the mood for something that is very heavy tonight and ask if the sausage is more lean or more greasy. |

| At least the less than stellar parents remind you to appreciate the not so great ones.
The 16 month old I saw earlier on the floor that prompted this rant is still running rampant in the hospital. A minute ago I walked out of my office and the child was standing there and the mother was not within sight. She showed up a minute later from around the corner where the waiting room is. Then when I went to lunch a minute ago he was running into a CT room. Potentially exposing your child to unneccessary radiation because you don't want to keep up with them is awesome! Not to mention potentially walking in on another patient. |

| The only way that you lose nutrition is if you boil something in liquid and then pour the liquid off. Water soluable vitamins are lost that way. What you are doing sounds great! | |||

I love coffee so much that I can't drink it every day. The problem is that my favorite time to drink it is in the evening or at night and if I let myself do that, I'd never sleep. I like a nice strong full flavor cup (or three). My favorite is a small amount of sugar and a little soy creamer, but I am just fine with black too. |
