hey all,
so i am an 238, 2 pounds lost since 2 weeks ago(i forgot to weighin last wk).
danelleross: wow, you've lost 21 pounds in about a month?? thats awesome. are u on a specific diet????

where is everyone??? lol, no one comes here anymore : (

Good job Jpetty! I lost another pound so i am now at 240. Next week, ill finally be back in the 230s hopefully ;)
I just got back from the gym, and so I am pretty happy. I hate actually getting up and going to the gym, but once i am done, I feel great and like i can take on the world. Does anyone else hate the gym, but love the rewarding feeling it gives u afterward?? I got my friend to go with me 2x a week. She absolutely hates going. Even afterward, once we're done, she still complains! But, well atleast she's going with me and is trying to be supportive in that respect. She still eats insane amounts of fattening and high caloric meals, but oh well, right?? Ill check in later, hopefully some other girls remember it's weigh - in

it is definitely not bad that your motivation right now is to meet a guy. I mean, yeah I'd like to say that the reason I want to lose weight is to be healthy, but there are a bunch of other factors too. Like, I want to be more confident. and, I want to look cute for my other cousins wedding. and, yeah, meeting a cute guy is on my list too : )
Sure we are not as boy crazy as the teens, but I'm sure all us single girls are out there looking, and being at a lower weight boosts our confidence, and this appeals to guys.
my motivations are basically the same as yours. I want to feel pretty. I want to look nice for my cousin's wedding coming up this summer. I want to definitely meet a guy--although perhaps this has more to do with me gaining more confidence

Hello everyone ! WELCOME to all the new ppls. : )
Watchmeshine, thats great that you were able to workout 5x this week. I set small goals with my weight, and with my workout. Right now, I try to workout at least 3x a week, and I've been pretty good at that. That way, like jpetty said, the task of losing a big amount of weight (like moi) is not as daunting if we set small goals along the way. Right now, Im looking to lose 20 pounds to be at 220, and then 20 pounds to be at 200, etc . Finally, Good luck, you can do this !

Okay,
so few of us are posting, but since some girls are still loyal, I am going to try to get back in this. I weighed myself today and i come in at 242. It took me forever to get below 240 that i feel kind of bad i gained weight. So, im definitely more motivated to lose weight now : )

Jpetty...wow 6.4 pounds in one week is awesome. so weight watchers really works? thats wonderful

Hey girls,
we all seem to be in the same boat. I also have not been posting lately. I had my cousins wedding last month, and then I went to arizona for thanksgiving...and after that I just seemed to have lose some of the motivation. The month of november was a total bust for me. But now its december, and I am trying to lose some weight before my 21st birthday (in January). So, Im going to try to get back in the habit of eating right and exercising ; )

oh and jpetty, im so glad you weighed yourself. now that you know what you've gained (3 pounds isn't bad) you can be back on track. like you said, you are back to trying : )  .

Okay i forgot to weigh in--i am 239.6...lol i'll take it since technically it's below 240. My cousin's wedding is on saturday. based on the responses i've had from you guys about my two dresses, i think i am going to wear the striped dress yay : ) .

Hey girls,
so last week i was 241 and now i am 240 . Yay, so one pound. my cousin's wedding is in less than two weeks, and at this point i just want to be 230-something (I'll take 239) : )
so far i have two votes for the striped grey dress :)
if you can, i need advice about which one to wear--theyre in my profile gallery . thanks in advance

alldolled up: that's awesome! you lost 5.5 pounds? thats great--what's your exercise regime, if you dont mind asking?

OKay gals, I need your advice...I have a wedding to attend--my cousin's, who is like a brother to me. I cannot decide on the dress. I posted up the two choices-one is black, the other striped--and was hoping y'all could give me your opinion. Right now, I just dont know which one to pick. I think theyre both pretty- HELP! ;-)

so last week i was at about 244.5 and this morning i weighed in at 242. Yay : )  . i've been at the 244-246 for awhile, just kept going up and down at those numbers so to see 242 was awesome for me : )

I weighed in yesterday and I only lost .5 .
last week : 245 this week: 244.5 . Im glad i lost something, i guess...

Ugh,there seems to be a trend here. I also didn't lose anything. I'm still at 245. Tears. and to top it off, I move back to campus this week and I am hoping that I wont be tempted by fast food as a way to save time and money. I'm trying to think of easy, fast, healthy recipes. any suggestions? Plus, my roomie is a total food junkie and she's told me that she isnt going to help me or cut down in any way. lol, she did say it in a funny, nice way. But she meant it : )

all dolled up: I know exactly how you feel. a couple of weeks ago I finally broke out of the 250s and i was ecstatic!  btw You look great in your pics : )

Kernal: i'm so sorry that you have had to go through all that stuff : ( . it's understandable that you havent been checking in online with so much things going on in your life ... we miss you too

Bethystan: i have also been stuck around the same weight for the last 2-3 weeks but I feel better this week bc I am back on track with the eating right and exercising. we can do this!


Also, i put up pics from my last month at 260 to this month of 245. I dont see much difference, but it doesnt matter bc i feel different : )

well i weighed myself ... still 247 : (  . but i havent been hard core dieting and exercising so i'm not too surprised. I'm hoping that next monday i will be at 245...and I plan on sticking to my diet this week to a  T .

Hey Jenn, thanks for sharing!
i know how you feel about the going out to eat. i used to go out all the time with friends for lunch or dinner. And then once I started seriously dieting and counting calories I was terrified to go out bc I wouldnt know the calories to items. What I do now is find our where we are going and look up the nutritional info online. I was so surprised at how many calories even the salads had! LOL, the good thing is some places have a low calorie menu like applebees and tgifridays.

Welcome brownie954! Everyone is welcome to our group. We've been posting on this thread for about a month;every monday we update our stats and during the week someone might post something for motivation and such.

anitambar i know how you feel . I only lost .5 of a pound, but i had such a good weekend. and by good I mean i ate real good and greasy food : ) . so i am just happy that I didnt gain anything. hopefully you'll break the plateau next week . keep at it

hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend.
I lose 1/2 pound from 248.5 to 248. not much, but I'll take it. then again, i weighed myself yesterday morning bf the labor day food : ( . but, after monday i am back on track ; )

hey george and bridgie,
I feel the same way cause ive been in somewhat of a slump this week. I ve gone to them gym but Didn't work out the way I know I can : ( and then right now i had fried zuchini! Bad Claudia. I love that stuff, and i know it is so greasy. The only good think is that I still plan on going to the gym later and that I didn't finish the zuchini. I am afraid to weigh myself on monday : ( . the weekends are usually where i mess up (not thursdays) but hopefully knowing that I messed up today will motivate me to do well on the weekend.

I lost 2 pounds! and, im close to leaving the 250s behind. So, I am very happy.

bethystan well, I majored in English hoping that I would get my credentials and teach high school English. But, once I took a couple of art history classes, I just knew I had to at least minor in it. So, my plan is still to teach as of now. May be, just maybe, I might decide to try and get my masters in AH after I graduate and work in museum type work. Not sure yet.

oh yeah, I felt sort of bad today. I come from a Mexican family so you can bet we love food. I've been able to refuse the more high calorie dishes bc I have a little bit more willpower now. But today, my moms made chile rellenos. Damn. The only good thing is that I did watch my portions. But still. I know chile rellenos cannot be good for you :(

hey noticed that everyone was writing where they are from and what they do, so here is my bio:
I am 20 years old (21 in january). I'll be back at ucla in the fall for my third year, and I am currently double majoring in English and Art History. yes, I know. I am majoring in "poor" : ). at least, that's what people tell me. I've lived in sunny california all my life, and while I am in school I stay in Ucla apartments.
I am tryin to lose weight just so that I feel better about myself, although to be honest I do have high self esteem : -). I just want to be healthier. lol, and get the boys. umm, that is about it. I do not have a job because I am a full time student. And bc I hate working. But not having a job has helped me this summer, bc I am able to go the the gym about 6 times a week. ok, hope I didn't write too much and hope I didn't bore anyone
