| Health & Support | What do you think about Lipo laser? Aso called laser dissolve. (For weightloss in hard to lose areas) | May 18 2007 16:14 (UTC) |

| They say it's perminent. Just like regular liposuction. Unless you gain the weight back of course. But, It's obvious that they would SAY anythig to sell you on it.
I think this might be something I would be interested in. A few years down the road after I have kids. (Cause if I have a tummy now I am afraid of what my tummy will look like after two kids) By then they might have the long term results and side effects. I can't find any now and I think it's cause it is so new. I will let others be the ginny pigs though. LOL |

| Ooops. Sorry. I guess nobody has heard of it? It was approve by the FDA in 2006. And used in other countries already ( not sure how long). It melts the fat with a laser and the fat can be sucked out easier (if your doing liposuction). Or the fat will be moved to the blood stream (*?* I don't understand how yet but i'm trying to figure it out) where it is removed naturally by the body through waste and the lymphatic system. If you chose the 2nd option it is totally nonsergical, you have zero recovery time, painless, but it may take a couple sessions to reach yor desired results. They say you can lose inches even during the first session. It is also pretty enexpensive. It seems to good to be true! Right? They say you can do it on your lunch break cause it only takes 30 min. I know i'm not paying for it becuase even 99 bucks is to much for me to pay but... I was really surprised to see this in my local area for sooooo cheap. It seems ike something that would only be in hollywood and really expensive! |

Plus I ate out at a buffet while I was on the road and had cake and fried fish and a bit of other treats too. I had pancakes one morning and a burger one night. I also had cake on mothers day. All this = 1.6 pounds |

| Weight Loss | arm fat | May 09 2007 14:45 (UTC) |

| I asked this question and this is what I was told... I kinda summed it up and put it into my journal. (So this is just copied and pasted from my journal) But I think some good cardio will be needed as well.
Here's a quick circuit of 4 exercises that you can do right in your home to get rid of your arm flab. This circuit will last for 30 minutes with a 45 second rest after you have completed all 4 exercises. Get in as many sets as you can in 30 minutes.
http://www.eliteathletetraining.com/Tips/Work out_Up.aspx http://www.mrfitnesstv.com/user/EXERCISEGUIDE pages3andon.doc ````````````````````````````````````````````` ````````````` And this too Experts advise women who want to get rid of arm flab to try these simple exercises, some of which use light hand-held weights available at sporting goods stores. Push forward. Sit on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat or heels resting on the floor and palms flat on the floor beside your hips with your fingers pointing forward, says Peggy Norwood-Keating, director of fitness at Duke University Diet and Fitness Center in Durham, North Carolina. Bend your elbows and lean back, supporting your upper-body weight with your arms and keeping your hands in place by your hips. Then, using your hands, press yourself forward, straightening your arms until you're sitting upright once again. This works the triceps muscle running along the back of your upper arm, says Norwood-Keating. Do three sets of 15 repetitions twice a week. Bend your elbows. To further build your triceps muscles, pick up a one- to three-pound dumbbell in your right hand, then sit up straight on a bench or chair, holding the weight at your right shoulder, says Norwood-Keating. Put your left hand under your right elbow to help you steady the weight-bearing arm. Then gently lift the bent arm upward from the front until your right elbow is above your right shoulder. Your arm remains bent, and your weight is behind your head. This is the starting position. Hold that position for about one second, then--leaving your left hand in place--slowly extend your right elbow and raise the weight above your right shoulder. Hold that position for another second, then slowly lower the weight back to the starting position. Repeat the exercise 12 to 15 times. That's a set. Switch the dumbbell to your left hand and repeat the exercise. When you've finished, switch back to the right, then repeat the entire 12 to 15 repetitions a second time on the right side. Switch to the left and repeat the entire 12 to 15 repetitions a second time. Try two to three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions twice a week, suggests Norwood-Keating. You may choose to progress to three sets or, as you become stronger and the exercise becomes easier (when you can do 15 repetitions without straining), switch to a heavier weight and decrease the number of repetitions to 8 to 10. |

And I love the 100 calorie cheetoes! They also make 100 calorie oreos and doritoes. And I really love the smart one chocolate cakes! they are about 220 calories but it's CAKE! |

| Fitness | Questions about Pilates | May 08 2007 15:39 (UTC) |

| Yep, I was using a mat. I think mabey I was doing the roll thing wrong or something. I'm not as flexible as the people on the video so I can't curl up as much as they did. Mabey I will just do the 100 while they do the roll for a bit. Besides I have a lower back problem and I shouldn't do things that i'm wably at. I took yesterday off so the bruise on my back could get better and it's better today. But my legs are STILL sore but I will do it today anyways. Thanks evryone | |||
| Fitness | Working Out while sore? | May 07 2007 20:39 (UTC) |

| I was about to make a post on this untill I saw yours. I am soooooooooooo sore from doing pilates for the first time in a while on Sat. & Sun. I wanted to do it again today but when I laid on the mat I realized my lower back is sore (I think mabey bruised from doing the roll thing, which I didn't see how that would be benificial anyways) Then when I tried to extend my legs in the air while laying on my back I couldn't even straighten them. They are sooooooo sore. My stomach is also sore. It looks like everybody says to work through the pain but is that just for running or should I suck it up and do my pilates today. I don't know what pilates would be considered too. Stength training? Resistance? Cardio? I know the lady on the video said that we were working the small muscle that connect to the larger muscles. So that was probably the first time those muscle have been worked in a while! And I don't know if stretching will help me cause thats basically all I did in the pilates workout. Alot of stretching and a some extra stuff to make it into a workout. I already did 30 min. on the ellipticle this morning and my legs were pretty sore for that but it was different cause I wasn't trying to flex and all that stuff like in pilates. Should I rest for the rest of the day or just do it? |

| -sarah- Current weight after week 6: 161.4 *5 pound loss* (This is on the docs scale today, it is more accurate! But since it is on a diff. scale the actual pounds lost for this week might not be 5 but the total pounds lost is still correct cause I weighed in at the docs office at the beggining of this challenge.) After week 5: 166.4 pounds *0.2 pound loss* After week 4: 166.6 pounds *2.1 pound loss* After week 3: 168.7 pounds *2.4 pound loss* After week 2: 171.1 pounds *3.3 pound loss* After week 1: 174.4 pounds *5.6 pound loss* Starting Weight for this challenge: 180 (3/27/07) Total Lost so far for this challenge: 18.6 pounds Starting Weight: 204.5 (2/5/07) Total Lost since I started loosing: 43.1 Complaints: My stomach and legs are sore! I started pilates this weekend and now i'm sore. Praises: I'm happy about how far I have come. I have lost over 20% of my body weight! But half the reason I had such a big drop this week is cause it was TTOM and every time it ends I drop a few If I work hard through it. For the first time ever I am excited to get it each month in hopes I will drop a pound afterwards. |

| Fitness | Some cardio days are SO HARD: WHY? Any physical explanations? | May 07 2007 18:09 (UTC) |
|
| I have those hard days too! Like today for example I only did 30 min on the elipticle which is actually great I think, its what I was doing every time I did it for two months but in the last week I bumped it up to 40 or 45 min but i'm always soooo tired after that and bright red and soked in sweat. Thirty min is a good workout but I was trying to keep up with recent good doings. Anyways the whole thirty min I was thinking 20 more min. 10 more min. 7 more min...... And normally I don't do that. I normally enjoy it. And this has been happening with all my other cardio workouts too. My doc told me to take a whole week off from working out and then get back into it. She said sometimes you just get burned out. But I'm not ready to stop yet. When I really feel burned out I will take a break. I think i'm just beeing lazy and I was kinda sore today because I started pilates over the weekend.
Mabey just a couple days rest could be benficial to you and me both. I just don't want stop for a whole week. |

| Congrats! This also happened to me too! I pair of work pants I Boughts about a month ago. They were just a little tight in the waist but now they only sit where they should with a belt! And I only got to wear them twice because the job didn't workout :(
And last week I noticed my brand new belt dosen't fit any more. I need to poke a new whole in it! Doesn't it feel good even though it's costing a bit of extra money.(buying new stuff and all) I believe it's worth it though!!! Good luck and I wish you luck loosing more in the upper body area! I'm wishing for the same thing. |

| Fitness | Does heat affect weight loss? | May 07 2007 04:34 (UTC) |
1 |
| I'm not an expert at all, but I live in a place where you break a sweat just walking to your car in the summer. NO JOKE, It's hot. Back in highschool when I didn't diet or worry about my wieght (even though I should have) I always thinned out a bit in the summer. (My mom said this about both of us trying to make me feel good about still needing to lose about 20 lbs by August) I don't know if it was directly from the heat or what but my fiance that I have known since 9th grade also recently said that I have always slimmed out in the summer compared to the winter. (I guess I pack it on in the winter and lose it in the summer without noticing either way)
I don't know really but two people told me this. I never noticed it though. I hope it's true though cause I can use any extra help! |

| Fitness | I bought Carmen Electras Striptease Aerobic Workout and the second one in the series Fit to Strip! | May 06 2007 23:50 (UTC) |
|
| Well I tried the first video and it's not a GREAT workout but if I was a begginer it might have been. I barely broke a sweat. But it was fun to learn some sexy moves. I'm glad I got it because I can make my own routine out of it but I don't see myself watching it every day because she shows you how to do things more than she actually does them. PLUS I have a lower back problem that I thought was getting better if not I was at least thinking "wow it's not effecting my workouts any more" But I couldn't do some of the moves that included bending foward to far. For example I can't grab my ankles. (But in middle/high school I set the record for sit & reach, I could reach 7 inches past my toes *but not anymore*)
I think each disk is a little more intense than the last so hopefully disk 2 Fit to Strip will be a better workout. It had a few shots of it in the first disk and it did look better. I will try that one in the morning and tell ya what I think. The clip of the hip hop dance one looked like something that I would get into and benifit from. After doing the first video I felt like I needed a better workout and did my 20 min. pilates video. Thats when I felt the burn! And after that I jumped in the pool for the first time this year. I wanted a good cardio session so I did some laps. |

| Fitness | I bought Carmen Electras Striptease Aerobic Workout and the second one in the series Fit to Strip! | May 06 2007 20:40 (UTC) |

| I got them from walmart for $9.44 a piece. She has a total of 4 diff. ones out. I got the first two. I think the 4th disk is a workout/how to give a lap dance and a hip hop dance workout. That one should be interesting. (thats the one my fiance wanted me to get but i'm gonna get them in the order they came out) I'm gonna see if they are corny or even a good workout before I go buying all of them.
And If I take the one from the living room my dad will shoot me! He just got a new 52 inch plazma tv with surround sound and all new everything including a new dvd player. I'm lucky he lets me use the remote. Anyways i'm getting off the computer to try them now. It's 53 min. long so it should be a good workout if it's not corny. |

| Weight Loss | How many of you went on a crazy diet to lose weight? And what was it.. | May 06 2007 20:21 (UTC) |
|
| I did a 2 day fruit diet. Bannana in the morning, apple at lunch, and an orange at dinner. I was soooooooooooooo hungry! I lost a pound or two I don't even remember. All I remember was being hungry! And as soon as I ate normal things again I gained it back even though I was only eating very healthy things! I found this diet on a website and would not suggest it to anybody that wants to stay in the right state of mind! | |||

| I have not drank milk in at least 10 years with the exception of one time! I was lactose intollerant, but something happened and I don't think I am anymore cause my niece handed me a huge glass of milk one day when I was choking on a extra big bit of food I took. And I had no problem after I drank the whole glass. So mabey now would be a good time to start drink chocolate milk to get some nutrients my body has missed out on. | |||
