155.8 today, down exactly 2 lbs from last week. May be TMI but I'm still in the middle/near the end of my monthly visitor so hopefully that ending will lead to 2lbs or more by next week. I am always heavier feeling and bloated right before and during that awful time. -Stacey |

Hi, I just wanted to jump in and invite myself to this group, LOL. I started reading at the beginning intent on reading all 18 or whatever pages before posting, but I gave up. My name is Stacey, I am 29 will turn 30 in December. I have 2 daughters, one is 11 and around 5' tall and over weight, and the other is super skinny, they are a whole group of food issues by themselves. I am 5'4" and 155.8 down from 157.8 last week. I was in the 130's in high school and since then the lowest I've been is the mid to low 140's. I'm now in the 150's due to not exercising and eating whatever through the winter. Now that spring is here and soon I'll be at the lake every weekend, I need to get into shape. So far I have had coffee and yogurt today. Will have an apple in a little bit before heading to them gym. -Stacey |

What I do, as told to me by a trainer at my gym during orientation, is whisper out loud your reps when you are counting. That way you are exhaling when you lift and then take a breath in when you are returning to the start position. helps you remember to breathe. Now if you don't breathe deep enough you'll just have to remind yourself I suppose, LOL. -Stacey |

So far so good, I won't weigh myself until next week since I started counting again this Mon, or Tues don't remember. My only problem is it's going almost too good. I've only eaten 991 calories today. My BMR is 1450-1500 depending on where you look. So I need around 400 more calories today! I'm not even really hungry. I had oatmeal and my coffee with fat free creamer and sugar for breakfast, a chicken salad with low fat dressing from McDonald's for lunch, and grilled chicken and a sweet potato for dinner. What the hell am I supposed to eat now?!?! LOL! -Stacey |

I would like to join this group as well! Looking at all the posts though I think my "mini-goal" is going to be 10-15lbs LOL. I'm 29, 5'4" and this morning I weighed 157. I few years ago Weight Watchers gave me a goal weight of 118lbs and I thought that was crazy! I was in the 130's in high school and looking back at pictures I was thin. After reading through the posts maybe less than the 130's isn't as low as I first thought. Many here seem to be around my height and weigh less or even taller and their goal's are less. I know, don't compare myself, do what's right for me. I'm just reconsidering how much 118-120 would be on my frame. I have a small frame, short legs, shop in the petite section LOL. Maybe it would be a a good idea to aim a little "higher" so to speak. -Stacey |

What I understand based on what I have learned in school, (biology, EMT, Surgical technology), yawning is caused by lack of oxygen intake. When we aren't breathing deeply enough our brain sends a message that we need more O2 and tells us to yawn. It's more like an involuntary deep breath. So I guess just make sure you are breathing adequately while stretching. I'm sure going from heavier breathing while doing cardio to much slower breathing while stretching has a lot to do with not getting enough O2. I tend to yawn after workouts too. -Stacey |

I actually get a power sized Mango Mantra multiple times a week. See I am one who never eats breakfast, cup of coffee but that's about it. I decided that since I like items on the light menu, better to have that then nothing. Also the nearest Jamba Juice is 1 mile from my house as tracked in my car. So I walk to Jamba, get my drink and walk home. I walk about 15 minutes each way. I hate to exercise too so two birds with one stone in my opinion. My only confusion with the Mango Mantra (my choice 90% of the time) is the original is 24oz per their web-site and the power is Oz, a 6oz difference. However the sodium goes up from 280mg to 920mg?? The Potassium goes down from 670mg(orig) to 300mg(pow)????? That makes no sense. Even if whatever brings the potassium is not increased for the larger size, it should stay the same not go down 370mg? The difference from the 16oz to the 24oz is 8oz, sodium 220mg(16) to 280mg(orig) potassium 310mg(16) to 670mg(orig). Everything else I understand and am okay with as I don't like sweets generally and do not have hardly any other sugar all day, also I know I do not eat enough fruits and veggies so getting fruit here is better than not at all. There must be a mistake on their website for these two things however. -Stacey |
