| Homemade granola is so good!
Here is a granola recipe that I found in the cookbook POWER EATING. Apple juice is used instead of sugar or honey to sweeten the granola. 2 cups rolled oats, 1/2 cup wheat bran, 1/4 cup flax, 1/4 cup sesame seeds, 2 tbsp coconut, 1/3 almonds or sunflower seeds, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 3/4 cup frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/3 cup raisins, 1/4 cup papaya or apricots (optional) 1. Mix dry ingredients together in large baking dish (except dried fruit). 2. Combine 1/2 cup apple juice & vanilla. Pour over dry oat mixture and stir. Bake @ 275 for 45 min, stirring every 15. 3. Combine remaining juice with raisins and dried fruit, set aside while granola bakes. 4. After 45 minutes stir fruit mixture into the granola. Bake 15 min or until golden brown. 5. Store in tightly covered container for up to 1 month. Longer if frozen. 4. After 45 min |

| I like to put roasted veggies (onion, garlic, zuchinni, red pepper, potato, 1 tsp oregono, 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper) in the centre of the tortilla quesadilla style, then sprinkle with a bit of low fat cheese and heat on my grill. Top with salsa. It's so good with the small wraps. | |||

| I was also wondering how many grams of protein a person should have in a day. One source I found said, you should multiply your body weight by .37 to find out the appropriate ammount of protein for your weight.
It never good to go to extremes. I'm in agreement with Clairelaine, find a healthy balance in your diet. |

| 6.5 hours is definitely too long between meals! Try eating some nutritous snacks between meals to curb your hunger. Luna Bars, Yogurt, Fruit, Veggies, Small Portions of Nuts are always good snacks to keep you going throughout the day. Healthy snacking between meals will help keep you from binging out of hunger. It's hard to get back into routine after vacation. Hang in there. | |||
