Hi: I have a question. Is anyone having problems with accepting the amount of weight the weight charts say you need to lose. I am having a real struggle with the idea that I need to lose 30 lbs and keep it off. 30 lbs seems like alot!

Hi: Does anyone struggle with the fear of being too small? My family always used to make comments about my weight (even though I was very small) and I always felt like "You just want me to disappear, don't you?" Like if I was small enough I wouldn't get in the way.

Hi: I feel like I am in numbers shock right now. When I look on the sites they all say to eat 1200 calories, but that doesn't seem like very much. Am I crazy or did the FDA used to tell people that 2,000 calories a day was acceptable for women? My profile said I need to lose 30 lbs. I am in that "but I need my fat" stage. I feel like, 30 lbs, geez my clothes will fall off!

Hi: yeah, I am looking to get down into the 130's. I haven't been there in a while. I am having some adjustment problems. Is it just me or didn't they used to say that 2,000 calories per day was acceptable for a woman and now its like 1200. I am in number shock right now. I feel like what am I going to eat and still get the vitamins I need! Does anyone else feel this way?

HI: I am new too. Welcome! I have just realized that I tend to use food to celebrate good things and soothe me after a stressful day. I have never been into calorie counting before. I think I rebelled against it because my mother was like a food Nazi! But Iam looking forward to working through having the freedom to eat or not eat as I like.
