You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Stay strong for your son, he will need it.  I know that is easier said than done.  Ask the doctor if there are any support groups, or check on-line, you would be suprised the different suppot groups you get connected to.  Someone that has been through it can give you a lot of information, understanding and support.  Keep us informed, and feel free to contact me if you just need to vent, rant, cry or talk.

Good Luck!! (HUGS)

Have you discussed this with your old roommate, what is their opinion.  If I were you I would talk to the old roommate and if they agree with you then the two of you talk to the new people.  If they are unwilling to change bye bye t.v.  Maybe find out what shows everyone watches and make a schedule.

I don't think it really matters in everyday life, but when you start talking about school and what kids should be tought that is the problem.  Being a Christian I don't belive in eveloution, nore would I want my childern taught it.  What gets me is why can't we get along, agree to disagree and compromise.  When this area comes up why can't parents make the chose.  If you do not want eveloution taught then the child goes into another class for a few weeks and is taught something different or tutorder in their trouble spots while the others learn about evolution.  Maybe I am being nieve, but why do things have to be one way or the other.  Everyone has the right to beleive what they want, but don't shove your beliefs on me.

Don't be discouraged, you will find that someone.  I found from personal experience that when you stop trying to hard, be honest with yourself, freinds, family and others amazing things can happen.  I found my hubby when I wasn't even looking.  There was no pressure from the start, he was kind, honest and understanding.  We were introduced through a friend of his who was a co-worker of mine.  Just a bunch of people hanging out together.  Well that night turned into many more of just meeting up as friends to dance, listen to music or hang out.  It progressed from there.  The right guy will uderstand your views and respect you for them.  Anyone that doesn't have that kind of understanding is not going to respect you after the fact.  Stop trying so hard, focus on yourself.  Feel free to drop me a note if you need any more encouragement.

Pray for guidence and strength.

My Sear's story.

Bought new house, needed appliance, bought them in September so they would be at the house in December when we close.  Three months should be more than enough time to work out any kinks.  So you think.  We closed on Friday, the 29th.  The appliances, stove, refrigerator, dishwsher and under counter microwave (ove 4,000) was to be at the new house Sat morning.  My parents drove anf hour and a half to be ther to let them in so we could start moving.  At 3:00pm we still had no appliances and no call.  I had frozen food in collers packed with ice, and fridge stuff in other coolers.  I call the store and they conect me to delivery.  Delivery acctually told me they tried to deliver, but could not find the house.  Maybe it was because the were trying to find street 115 when it should heve been 150.  All our paperwork said 150 so what is the problem.  I was then informed they could not make any more deliveries to day the truck was already back at distribution.  Oh did I go off!!  Thankfully the wonderfull lady in the model home let me but my frozen foods in the models freezer.  Of couurse if you are following the dates above you noticed that the next day was Sunday, Dec 31st(do not deliver), and the day after that was Monday Jan 1st (new years day).  Guess what no delivery on that day either.  We finally got our stuff on Tuesday the 2nd at 2:00 pm.  Have you ever tried living out of a cooler sitting on the back step in the middle of a Wisconsin winter.  When you have shovel your fridge off before you get the cream cheese for your morning bagel there is an issue.  The story is not over.  When they did finally show up it was the wrong dishwasher and fridge.  So now I had a stove  and microwave and nothing to keep food in.  It took another week to get the right fridge.  Three tries later they still had dishwasher wrong.  I was then walking through Lowes and right there in the clearence isle was the display model of my dishwasher for $200 less.  Bought it and called sears and told them waht to do with there dishwasher.  All we got for all our trouble was a wonderfull $100 Sear's gift card.  Yeh.

The biggest problem is that he is not only my boss but the owner.  There isn't any one to go talk to over his head, no H.R nothing.  There are only six employes and every morning we have our little itch session in the shop.  The good thing is we know the place isn't bugged or under vidio survalance or we would all be canned

I am currently taking Effexor and have experienced no real side effects.  My doctor started me off slow.  Building my dose up over a six month period.  I acctually lost a little weight the first couple of months.  With any anxiety/depression medications you need to be monitored by your doctor .  I see mine every 3 months.  When It is time to no longer take it she said she would slowly take me off it just like she put  me on.

Everyone's body is different.  There may be a reason your doctor didn't put you on it to begin with.  All I can tell you is to talk to your doctor.  If your current meds are not working ask the doctor, they may keep chaning your meds till they find something that works.  I took three others before Effexor.

Good Luck.

It is very true about the part of the country you are form, and how you were raised.  Being from a farm family in northern Illinois I have seen it first hand.  Both sides of my family are farmers going back generations.  You start your day off with a huge breakfast of toast, eggs, bacon or ham and of course a huge glass of milk.  Then you go out into the heat or the frezzing cold, depending on season and work your butt off till lunch.  Lunch was left overs from the night before or a quick sandwich, side dish and of course some kind of dessert (usually pie in the summer, cake in the spring and winter).  Then rush back out to what ever weather and work your butt off agin.  Finally dinner, always a meat (beef, pork or chicken) always potatoes (easy to grow and stored well through the winter) and some kind of vegtable (what ever we grew in the garden and but in the freezer).  Of course dinner again was followed by dessert.  BY the time dishes were done you are tired and watch a little t.v. and go to bed.  Meals were at 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 5:00 pm.  You got up at 4:30 and went to bed no later then 9:00 if not earlier.

My brother and I left the farm life behind, opting to sit behind desks and  get fat.  The food just keeps calling your name.  Dinner is not dinner without meat and potaotes, and I love gravey that I have to mop up with a biscut.  Eggs and bacon are my favorite breakfast.  I am trying to change  all this but it is so hard.  When I eat healthy I just don't get that satisfied feeling and keep eating till I do.

I am 5'4" and untill I moved away from the farm I never wieghtd more than 100 lbs, but when you eat the same way and sit behind a desk in 5 years I now am at 200 lbs.

I agree with nasuoni.  Why should a server get 10-15 or 20% if they did not earn it.  When the service is great I give 20%, average 15%, OK 10%, and down right horrible a penny.  Why should servers be any different then other working people.  If I have bad job performance I get sent home early (not so great when paid by the hour).  I don't get mad at my boss,  she gives me plenty of warning to improve.  In my job little mistakes cost big money, and if your not into it that day don't bother to come to work.

My parents always said you get what you pay for, and you pay for what you get.

I had a friend that tried this and yes it is kind of a scam.  You have to take a lot of surveys before you can get paid.  For all the time you spend infront of your computer you end up making less then min. wage, and you have to earn a cetain dollar amount before they send out a check.  Some don't even pay cash but with points that you can redeem for online shopping.  Not worth the time and effort.  Also you may be opening your self up to a lot of junk e-mails.

Sorry to here you are feeling down.  All I can tell you is don't take a llittle depression as no big deal.  You can fall into a deeper depression faster than you think and not realize it.  Don't think it foolish to seek counseling.  Your not feeling like yourself and it is great that you noticed it.  Go get the help you need.  I agree that homework assignments do really help.  My counseler gave me different color crayons to go with different feelings he noticed I was having trouble with.  When I started feeling those emotions I was to draw a picture or just scible in that color crayon.  I was amazed at how it made me come to terms with some of my emotinal problems just by regonizing they were there.

Find someone you can really open up with.  If you are uncomfortable opening up around a certian gender, seek the gender you can talk to.  Maybe look for someone closer to your age group so they can understand you.  Remember they are there to help you.  Don't feel embarresed, or ucomfortable.  They don't judge you, they have their own problems to.

Hope this helps.  Remeber we are all here for you
The Lounge Does everyone know how to yield? May 31 2008

I have two roundabouts in my little sub-division (under construction) and I agree people are idiots.  Not only do they not yield when entering the round about, but they actually think because there is not a bunch of trafiic they can cut through them.  You know, go in the out instead of going around the circle.  I can't count how many times I have almost been in head on collisions with these morons.  Just because your driving a Jag does not mean you own the road.

The problem is everyone in America is in a huge hurry, and everything should be all about me, me, me.  I try my hardest not fall into that trap.  I try to be curtious (sp), letting people ahead in line, yeilding to merging traffic on the express way,  just be nice.  I grew up in the country in a town of about 2000.  Everyone knew everybody and if you did something wrong your mother knew before you got home.  Anyway, sorry I am done now.

I would have done the same thing, or if I had the total amount I would have bought the ticket that way he couldn't use the money for anything else.

A couple of years ago I was filling my car up (when gas was around 2.50) and an older lady approached me asking for money.  Apparently when she left the house and grabed her purse the wallet was not in it.  She was about 30 miles from home, no cash, credit cards or checks.  All the cash I had on me was like 3 bucks, I gave it to her in hopes she could get that from a few more people.

I don't know where you stand as far as faith, but I know it has helped me through alot of hard times.  My husband lost his job 3 months before or wedding and we had a tone of bills.  I just kept asking God for help, guidience and  kept thinking positive thoughts.  When we got back from our honeymoon (not refundable so why not) He had a job waiting for him.  He is now a self employed contractor and it seems like everytime we are a month away from "How are we going to pay the morgage" and "Is there anything to eat besides mac & cheese" the next thing comes along.  Beleive me I know how you feel.  Keep your chin up, think positive and how much better off you will be when he finishes school.  If you have to ask a friend or family member for a little help, don't be too proud, just remember to always pay them back and they will always be there for you when you need it.  Trust and responsibility speak volumes about you.

Good Luck

I think you should talk to him and let him know how much you appreciate him and the things he does for you, and that you changing something doesn't mean he did it wrong.  Keep good honest communication going and you will get along fine.  If he knows your "issues" he won't take things personally.  Maybe the two of you can work on things together.
The Lounge How to Shiny Up Hard Wood Floors? Apr 13 2008
02:54 (UTC)

I use quick shine by Halloway House.  You can get it at Walmart.  Really easy to use, just squirt on floor and mop around.  Rinse your mop out good or use an old one you will throw away.  The mop will turn hard when it dries.  I use it like twice a year, usually spring and fall.  I have 70 year old reclaimed hardwood floors.  They have alot of imperfections, but I love it when they shine.

You should not mop your hardwood very often, standing water will damage them quickly.  When you do mop dry the floor when done with an old towel.  Letting the water sit on them will make them look dull and cause buckling over time.  I mop once a month and dust mop in between.  Just wipe up spills when they happen and you should have great looking floors for a long time.

I know what you mean.  I am struggling with the fact I am going to have to find an (as my my calls them) industrial bra.  You know the ones in the box that hold everything in and up.  I went bra shopping the other day and it was horrible.

Mistake one my husband came with.  He is very supportive (ha ha) but his paitence runs thin.  He swears I tried on one of every bra in every store.

Mistake two, it was that time of the month so I was bloated, cranky and just disgusted with everything.  Which made mistake one even worse.

I came to the conclusion I am some where in between a D and DD.  and why can't they make the sides of a bra a little wider so you don't get the fat hanging out from your arm pit.

I think maybe I will go with out and let the girls be free.  Oh won't that be a lovely sight.  Considering I still have to get a bra with a little padding, cause the nipples are huge.  okay a little to personnel, sorry.
